The sun descends on the horizon,
Flaming all the way to its death,
A far ways out in the ocean.

I shed a tear watching it fall,
Though, not for that great ball of fire,
Come tomorrow it will rise again.

The tears I shed are for you,
For my arms which will be empty tonight,
Always wishing you were here.

We celebrate freedom in words
In verse and in literary gaze
In languages unknown
Connecting through
Chords and notes
Musically bound

Across the globe
Gallivanting
Through time and space
Crossing boundaries

Colours of Holi
Unites us like a rainbow
One in spirit

Every shade illuminates
Under the big warm sun
Happy Holi 🍀🍀

I want to rise with the morning sun,
To fly in its glowing graces,
Well beyond the borders of this earth.

I wish to glide in the deep of space,
To run wild and free amongst these galaxies,
Way up to HD1 where I'll find home.
HD1 is the farthest and earliest known galaxy.
Light,
The light from above has bestowed upon me the urge to dance, despite it all, all, all. A spark has spread a little fire—the music never stopped, despite it all.

Affection,
Facing slowly—affection all over the floor. Summer has not started yet, but there is heat, devotion, warmth in absence. I nod to the sun. I turn towards the dappled, bronzed skin of mine.

Jazz,
There is something ferocious living inside this four-cornered apartment, where the absence of childhood has taken half my life—but there are flowers, flowers in my head. Slowly dancing in the whiskers of the afternoon—velvety, yes, velvety notes striking the rhythm of my body. Swaying, swaying, almost lost in the murmur of the piano—the saxophone aggravates the thrill in my bones. I look up at the ceiling; colors start to swirl even more. Strings spill like liquid—smooth and endless, more and more. Conversing here and there, I am alive again.

“Turn your face towards the sun,” they say. I dreamed of my childhood, and the heat of the sun felt like slow jazz in the afternoon.
I wrote this for 10 minutes because jazz made me feel alive today.

jazz is for ordinary people - berlioz
I wake before the sun
So I can watch it rise
While I sip from
The warm mug in my hands.

There is a book on my lap,
But I won't read it yet,
I'll have to wait for
The sun to come up.
This isn't what an actual morning in my life, but I wish it was
egg hot pot Mar 11
Rays of plasma
Tear through the universe
Looking for YOUR retina
Travelling at speed incomprehensible
To you tiny forebrain enclosed in a tinsy winsy box of calcium
Fellow humans , we live to see
We live to be
We live to die
I don't ****** know
We kissed in the dark of winter,
In the cold of the snow.
I swore to you in it's falling,
My heart fit well in yours.
But now that spring begins to shine through,
I'll renew my promise to you.
Spring is a time of love

She hangs above, not upside down.
Waiting for her turn, never wearing a frown.
She is a patient woman, wearing a man’s face.
She cannot run, she walks at her own pace.
Who is she? This dark, hidden lady?
She is so bright, when she isn’t shady.
The Moon, oh, the Moon!
Who’s lover comes soon.
Her lover, the sun, sits so high in the sky.
On opposite sides from her sweetheart at night.
But every once in a while, they meet up to kiss,
Covering the world in a gloomy, dark eclipse.

I soak up rays of warmth from the sun
as it covers my limbs like a blanket.
I am calm, content, and curious.
My curiosity is unbridled,
and my creativity is bolstered
by the satisfaction I feel.
I wish to grow and reach new heights.
This freedom comes from the sun,
as my leaves photosynthesize its warmth into energy.
My stem reaches taller, and new leaves unfurl.
I create a new version of myself with every sunny day.
