Pet
She sits on my lap
Plump and fat
Wrinkling my dress
I pet away all my stress

(cats are not evil)
At least I know mittens won't leave me

When can I sleep?
When the sun comes up.
When can I rest?
When the stars fade out.
When can I relax?
When the world starts again.
I stayed up too late again

We rush through life taking it to seriously
And most of the time we end up living miserably

We all just wanna fight to get to the top
Yet there is  no one who takes a minute to stop
And no one to realizes it's only a matter of time till we drop

So take it slow along life's bends
And watch the movie life

Spoiler alert we all die in the end.
Slow it down
Take your time
Don't keep forcing your mind
You'll think of that rhyme

In this up-to-date era
I get why its hard not to rush
Society constantly seems to be in a hurry
Ugh, he didn't flush

Calm your head
Pause and breathe
Notice the things you normally won't
Get the sense of the ground beneath

Go out
Mix around
Enjoy every moment you possibly can
You'll make this place feel like your home town

Always live
Don't just exist
Stop chasing that stupid deadline
And eventually spending your future in reminisce

Getting married at 22 sound a lot like leaving the party at 9:30
Like leaving the party when there are only three people there
Like leaving the party although you have not uttered a word to another soul
Like leaving the party before anybody new arrives
Like leaving the party when only the beer has showed up and no liquor
Like leaving the party before the cool kids even show their faces
Like committing the rest of your life to vanilla ice cream and you’ve only ever tasted vanilla ice cream
Like sticking with what you know and not venturing away
Getting married at 22 sounds a lot like settling down

I had just settled in for a nice hot soak.
I slid into the bubbles and opened my coke.
when what to my wondering ears did I hear
but a small playful voice drawing near.

When around the door I saw him appear
I knew in a moment that it was my Dear.
Quickly he approached me only to say
The kids have poopies and need changed straight away.

He stood there smiling with his eyebrow raised
I laughed and sat completely unfazed.
The moments between us were quiet and tense
I was waiting to see what was his defense

It felt like forever but only seconds had passed
When I knew that I would have to get out of my bath
Slowly I stood, shivering and cold
Wanting to put him in a choke hold

I climbed the stairs, naked and wet
Knowing this night, I will never forget.
The morale of the story lies herein
Check on the kids before I begin.

It feels as if the vibration of the guitar strings that I strum balances out the shakiness of my hands,
What they say is true about the euphoria of music, the fuzzy feeling is better than ***.
