everything has its perfect ratio,
a little bit of this, a little bit of that;

I should've maintained the status quo,
instead of putting concentrated things,
and giving a lot more.

Sweet, bittersweet, bitter.

I'm drinking coffee today (It's dark coffee). But, I didn't like it; I was conscious about wasting coffee so, I just threw in another instant coffee mix (a much sweeter/creamy one) and two spoonfuls of honey.

I should've settled for a more subtle coffee,
my tastebuds are confused but,
I somehow want more.

As a kid I believed the moon was made of cheese.
With age I learned it's just a frigid rock.
As a child I remember gazing at stars, whispering please.
As though the universe could really hear me talk.
Rainbows were pure magic.
Each one held a *** of gold.
Growing up is inherently tragic.
Splendor becomes same old same old.

nothing beats random
tree to halt life momentum
brown leaves on chill ground

You bury your head in shame
in a pit full of snakes,
but despite all your fame
the creatures will not wake.
Try, try,
as you might.
Try, try,
but you cannot take flight.
This is the world you fight to live in,
this is the world full of suffering.
Oh try, try,
as you might.
Try, try,
but you'll never again see the light.
This is Earth,
this is home.
This was where you were given birth,
this was where dinosaurs did roam.
This is where you take your last breath,
this is where your body now lies.
This is where you experience death,
this is where you say your goodbyes.
So try, try,
as you might.
Try, try,
your spirit dances in the moonlight.
Oh, so try, try,
as you might.
Try, try,
and feel the pain as the creatures bite.
Someone once mentioned burying their head in shame on some trivial matter, and so, I had a spur of the moment.
Then I was called weird.

gone was you,
and gone was I

I search the wind, saying
"where am I?"

Rain, rain, rain.
It's really such a pain.
When the creatures see the rain,
You just want to have them slain,
To see the crimson light rain
And the thoroughbred horse with the bright red mane.
All goes swirling down the fiery red drain.
Rain, rain, rain.
It isn't just a pain.
I like rain. My friend kept complaining.

Years later, I'm going back through my old poems and reading this trivial one... To think, this could have a vastly different interpretation despite its pure randomness on the topic of rain. It was a spontaneous creation worded around a mindless comment, meant for laughs, thus held no deeper meaning.
Intriguing, what hidden meaning do you think it holds, dear reader?

Where will we be when the last elephant falls
I'll still be in the room
You'll be down the hall
Let's keep pretending
life's never ending
when it's really the extinction of us all
Riding the bus at night
is one of my few comforts in life.
Reminds me of happy days,
returning home from the park.
I remember a tall white building
standing, reaching for the dark sky
with red neon lights spelling "MOTEL"
I felt compelled to come inside.
I don't know.

She had a spirit of flames
Eyes deep as the sea
A soul soothing as rain
A heart born to live free

And while she loved Earth
she always knew she could fly
A true goddess like her
belongs in the sky
