Just like rain drops
my tears fall
watering seeds sown
from my past.
Before too long
they will flower
into wonderful opportunities,
stunning all those who see,
never knowing the damaged roots that lay underneath.
For you see the colourful bloom reached for the sun,
Illuminating the world in a sea of colour,
ready to take on life's next adventure.

I didn’t want to let it go
To be honest
I wanted it to work

But banging on a closed door
Only put splinters  
In my hands

It is only right
That you should venture out
To pursue the higher mountain,
But how I will miss you
In climbing my own.

I've heard the Chinese phrase for crisis equals opportunity
From where I reside we bring in the cavalry when opportunities arise
