I would ride all night
on a broken down mule
To be with you
once again

I would walk on glass
through the desert
If it would
alleviate the pain

I would crawl
across the mountains
If I could you
as you were
again regain

I would swim
the entire ocean
For you to know
my love will still
forever be true

Still nothing
brings any solace
Except the company
of someone who doesn't
always remind me
of you.

Cruise my way
to the West Coast
Maybe make the beach
by June or July

Oh it really doesn't matter
No it really doesn't matter

Those blond
blue eyed surfer girls
Me I'll be stranded,
standing and a staring

and Me I'll be breezing
Me Pacific 'n Breezing

Maybe I'll go
And maybe I will stay
If you're looking for me
Look out there in LA

LA I finally made it
LA I'm on my way
through your mountains
Oh it's down onto the beach
out into the streets You know to Downtown LA

Oh you know it's LA
with the wind at your back
and a song that I heard
on the way

Me I'll be breezing
Me Pacific 'n Breezing

Got me a place
on Pacific
Take me a room
on Breeze Avenue

You know it really matters
Everything matters

Dreaming in the
City of the Angels
Living my life the
Angel Town way
A breeze in my face
There never was
a place like LA

and I'll breeze Her
Me Pacific 'n Breezing

Cruise my way
to the West Coast
Maybe make the beach
by June or July

You know it really matters
Everything really matters

and I will breeze Her
Me Pacific 'n Breezing

Maybe I'll go
And maybe I will stay
Oh if your looking for me
Look out there
in LA.

Deep in the mountains
In the still of the evening
Daylight is waning

A whippoorwill casts whispers
To the sunlight’s vast shadows
Crystal Freda Aug 2017
Bright in the crisp, morning sky.
Shining over mountains so high.
Glistering in the arising dawn.
Shimmering a light upon.

New beginnings start this day
as the sun rises in a blessed way.
Glowing over the majestic hills.
Blossoming over the flowered fields.

Rose blossoms absorb the sunlight.
Needed for their breath-taking sight.
Birds chirping as dawn begins.
The sun now awakens.
David Cunha Aug 2017
The mountains stand like giant ghosts behind the shore,
The buildings trap the sand
Their electric lights such vigilants of the sea
Motorbikes as little dispatchment troops
Cars parked as sleeping cops.

The buildings, so aware of the sea,
Forget the glory of rocky tall ghosts from beyond,
Their valleys turned shopping malls and residential areas.

The day awakens
And so do you.
The sun, not yet risen
The sky a darkened hue,
Crisp fresh morning air
The chill reviving you.
Outside your bedroom window,
Air fogging up the glass,
Eyes spotting glints behind pine trees
But gone within a flash.
Opening up the barrier
Wind howling in your ears
Bushes rustle while leaves toss about the wind.
Sparkling grass, wet from morning dew
The birds begin to chirp
Signaling others to speak too.
The sun begins to rise,
Sky turning orange, red, purple, and blue
Up over the mountains
With light shining through.
Every drop becomes a diamond
Their goal is to woo.
To draw you outside,
To greet them with smiles,
So come out the door and explore for awhile.

It always feels nice being on the road with his hand in yours and the scent of tobacco and pine.
He takes you to the place he calls home.

Campfires and reading about the inevitable apocalypse with the light from the fire that is starting to burn out
You look up and the moon shines through the cracks in the trees.

Abstract drawings and sounds of nature.
The caw of the goshawks keeping you up in the tent,
A hike that is familiar to him, you feel a presence and are assured you are safe.

Before it is time to leave, you both run as the storm crashes and rain pours from the sky into the blue hole.
Then the lightning peeks through the clouds and the darkness begins to subside.

You breathe in... and.. out... catch your breath and take a look around at the dense forest.
You find the one that looks at you like he's going to save you.

Do you ever
Count all the steps
That you walk in a day?

Wonder if they add up
To the height of mountains
Or the depths
Of the deepest seas?

Yet you hold yourself
Back from a challenge
When it stands
All in front of you.
And say it's just a dream.

Nowhere you walk
Is easy.
All people talk
And glare
And have their opinions.
No where is safe
With an edge
So near
That one fault
And you drop.

Scaling peaks,
Diving where it's deep,
Or just living is not easy.
But then again
You walk with a friend
And there goes the challenge.
