drawing inspiration from across the street, nature's light is missing though it reflects
most gloom-full days, and i am my happiest
I miss friendship touching on my shoulder
tapping for my attention
Reminding me of my foolishness

We can't breathe the same air anymore without worry
Even though we use to share it
Strangers and what would be foes
a breath now drawn is a breath untold

I saw blood stain concrete today
On the day of the last Trebek
I was triggered and now i'm here
drunkenly writing this garbage

The capitol was stormed this week
By a hurricane of fools
Can we blame them?
Only a symptom
The disease is you

I miss my friends so much
mostly in my twenties
aimlessly waiting
walking
talking
and then laughing about it

what a time we had
now i'm bounded by four walls and a paycheck
lest not forget the rolling chair
I'm still young and dumb
just a different type of fool

Back to Trebek
Hey George - I'm sorry i didn't make it to your funeral
Your son tried to kiss me in my sleep and it broke our friendship
Thank you for the knowledge

I miss the days where i watched you smoke over that ledge
so carelessly and free
telling stories of what your life use to be
flipping your scratch off coin

Little did i know you were clawing for survival
hoping to win yourself a marvel
a surprise
everyday before seven pm

I don't play silly games.
I've got no time for that.
Courting's a childish thing.
I'm listening, if we're talking it out.

You don't need to build me up,
But you need confidence.
I care, but not for ego
All sad and mad and stout.

I don't do romance.
I don't do flattery.
I don't blow rings of smoke.
When I say, "I love you," you'll know,
Cause I don't do romance.
Don't jump through fiery rings.
I don't need testiments.
If you love me, you love me; that's it.

You'll know that I am real
When I'm with you through the years.
I'm not a deity.
You're not God's gift to all.

Let's keep it on the level.
Let's not keep any of
The lies that people tell;
When truth could have said it all.

I don't do romance.
I don't do flattery.
I don't blow rings of smoke.
When I say, "I love you," you'll know,
Cause I don't do romance.
Don't jump through fiery rings.
I don't need testiments.
If you love me, you love me; that's it.

If you want a fairytale you need to pick up a book.
Those stories are always cheesy,
And they fill the world with expectations that are never met,
Cause happy ever after ain't always easy.

I'll love with all my heart
All things you are to me.
I won't promise more than I am.
I don't need saving grace.

You won't have to keep me home.
I'll know where I belong.
You'll be my equal lover.
We'll not be saving face.

I don't do romance.
I don't do flattery.
I don't blow rings of smoke.
When I say, "I love you," you'll know,
Cause I don't do romance.
Don't jump through fiery rings.
I don't need testiments.
If you love me, you love me; that's it.
I don't know why the jeopardy question title seems right for this one, but it does. Per Usual, this is a song. It has three verses, a refrain, and a bridge. It's pretty straight up.

I have this friend
          (it's really me)
Who has this girlfriend
          (who's really she)
Who has this quirk
          (really several)
Which she'd deny
          (which is another)
She's not anti-gay,
Sees right past color, creed and ethnicity;
Sees women for being women,
Men for men,
And any combination thereof,
And vice versa.
No, she can see right past bigotry,
Is blind to prejudice,
But has an innate drive that goes straight for wardrobe.
From the gowns of celebs,
To the color of Alex Trebek's tie.
A sartorist, that's what she is.

          I heard that.
          And I am not.

          (contrary too)

Love rises from the firey
Basement of the soul
And soars the infinite skies
Of possibilities

But this love ashes
fall from clouded
Forgiveness
And clogs the heart
Of bitter memories

The Phoneix of love
Descents
From the heavens
And plunges
Into jeopardy.
Remind me again love,
What was our situation?
Was it effervescent love,
Or a hostage negotiation?

;Dedication defined: "The way I looked at you even in our worst moments"
What is, Stockholm Syndrome?

Broken, decayed
As they have never been the adversaries
Depressed, forlorn
As they befriended my mind
Virtuous, vigorous
As I hardly be
Frail, tenuous
As I conceal it in front of beings

Tell you my thoughts,
you will collide
Tell you my strength,
you will revile
Tell you my griefs,
you will laugh
Tell you the reason,
you already left
Some days seem to be strangely ominous
and I’m reluctant to leave my comfy bed;
therefore, I clothe myself with Truth,
since I have nothing to fear or dread.

The inspirational courage of Your Word,
girds the frailty of my spiritual essence.
Wherever, I willfully determine to go,
I’m comforted by Your nearby Presence.

Despite the many, evil distortions,
created by human desire and wickedness,
I’m not motivated by fear, circumstance
or doubts, as I’m striving for holiness

that only You, provide with assurance.
I overcome all obstacles set before me-
knowingly sated, with the fact that
my saved soul is… never in jeopardy!

How do I start
to tell people?
That you are
my favorite pitfall.

You've put me
into this battlefield,
without me
knowing all its hazards.

By-and-by
it's your presence,
that I cannot contain
this growing imminence.

I saw this coming
and I got immune to the pain
fell deeply in love
as your light slowly fades away.

You challenge me
you play very well,
used every card
even my pride in peril.

Left alone with the hope
you'll start to see,
all the menace that abrupts
everything will lead to me.

If this is too much
to ask of you,
spare me no trouble
for I am afraid too.

Fck readiness
fck life,
for you I'd wait
even until the great divide.

Great distress
and jeopardy,
whatever happens
you know you'll have me.

Cold as ice
you pull away,
assiduously
I will travail.

You are the threat
I will always salute,
the danger
I'd fiercely hang on to.

All the risks you try
to put me through,
I'd be gratified
to fight for that single fcking chance to have you.
