(The sound of breathing)

I am the air / unseen
a breath
underneath
                  the rush
                  the coffee
                  the traffic
on concrete streets

I am lifting the dirt
                  the grime
                   the dust
polluting us
I am adding wings
to the speed of your feet
to where your dreams may meet

I am the sigh
in your quivering lungs
inside your heart
                  such self defeat
when you concede to its
deceit / disease / cease to breathe
never to notice me
or listen to our song
Time’s
Wind chimes
a summer's relief / a breeze
strides along
cooling your face from the heat

Do not say you blame it all on me

Don't say I'm the purpose
                    the reason
or                  the space between
Wound of flesh, lips compulsive kiss
The mindless lies
Loss of will
between the heart & the eyes
unable and refusing to see
It’s why our love
retreats

Dagger / plunged
the deathblow
a quick hands woes

A heartless man goes
so neat and clean
so discreet
hiding in the bleak
uncaring

so...

I am the air
   you never notice me
touching
           your sorrow
            your skin
yet never being / your glee
invisible
that is how despair begins

I am the air / unseen
waiting for you to care
                        to notice
                         to open eyes, see!

I am the air, here / with you
a friend that is always
there

invisible
waiting to be / seen.

do you notice me?

(The sound of breathing)

A heart is beating.

A short story of who I am
A drastic change thanks to time
A young lass with angels learning to dance
But the devils thought it's better to rhyme
Got locked in a box of words
Knowing letters as the only swords
With it fighting kings and lords
No running, only training voice chords

Words as loud as explosions
Passion hot as fire
Wasting paper after paper
Ink never ending, heart never tires
For the devils control her mind
And angels control her brain
Both fighting to win the war
And the young lass is trying to stay sane
Isn't good poetry always a letter of an inner struggle, isn't it an invisible force pulling the strings of our mind, controlling our brain to move our pens and pour down our hearts.
I can't see,
or feel,
myself a real.
I often,
let others,
cut me out.
True story
Cait May 2019
An invisible jail called silence.
Ensnaring so many prisoners.
A literal soundproof room.
Millions scream, nobody hears.
An invisible cell called silence.
A cellophane shell called silence.
Some people are given a megaphone
when they don’t even deserve one.
In a glass case, some are displayed,
But nobody listens anyways.
Is there a locksmith anywhere?
Can you help us?
An invisible jail called silence.
Even if a person seems free,
Their own skull is a cage for the brain.
Transparent shackles, a translucent gag tied around the mouth.
People stuck in their individual cages.
An invisible cell called silence.
Today I'm breaking out. I'm breaking loose.
I’m breaking the glass ceiling, breaking the fourth wall.
I found the key, I'm breaking free
From this invisible cell called silence.

i wonder sometimes
if you see me
when i wave from across the seas
of human (or not) bodies
heads bobbing up and down
the roaring of the waters
(im able to pick out certain conversations; "she kissed him", "irrelevant", "sasha will **** me")
but you just float along,
seemingly untouched by the mobs
do you see me
a small fish in an ocean
im not very bright, i know, but
am i visible
i want to be
even if its only
you
who can see me

She's fallen from grace,
Her mind's all over the place,
How can she keep running this endless race?

Fantasize the happiness,
Put aside the loneliness;
Making the same mistakes again,
Don't know where she belongs...

Broken inside, with no place to go,
Dried out her eyes,
Open yours;
The feelings she hides,
Falling behind,
Every moment; remind, relive, repeat,
Lost in the silence,
Lost inside,
The land inside...

Dark and damp,
Awaiting a savior,
Someone, reach to her...
Is there anybody out there...?

No, not even the remains of the family,
Torn apart...

She cries tonight,
Wondering what she can do;
Another pill,
Another drink,
Another fake smile,
She lives her worst nightmares...

She cries, she lies,
She's on memories that she once knew,
Then there's another empty bottle on the floor,
Not hers...

Every night, just one more night,
She tries so hard to go on..

Dried eyes, there's nothing more she can do...
The daughter that they hardly knew...
Once so innocent,
Now so far gone...

Sometimes I wish I could disappear
Abandon the world the way it is
Turn invisible once more
But that'll never happen
For the sake of you
For the sake of me
I'll disappear

She enters the room
like illuminating sun.
I freeze in the dark.
Is it possible to become invisible
To one’s own eye too

Lost, not to be found
Yet within reach

Not casting a shadow
Yet getting blisters under the sun

Healing yet not feeling
Invisible could be fun
Just some words,  and invisible Thoughts

I own the keys to an invisible car
One that takes me nowhere
I show everyone my invisible car
One I know that isn’t there
I drive around in my invisible car
And pretend that I don’t care
I make new friends with my invisible car
But I have nothing real to share
Fake. Like me.
