You're like me.
We're one and the same.

You can be the moon, I'll be your sun.
When we eclipse we will rule this land.

Take my hand, let us become one.
We shall consume this universe.

Let us watch these puny humans from the stars.
Nobody will ever hurt us, or touch us again.

We have the power to mould this world into whatever we like.
A world with peace, and without filth.

Or maybe just devour the world.
And start it again, brand new.

Hand-in-hand, I find my strength.
My other half.

The Venus to my Mars.
The Eve to my Adam.

We can control these failures under our wrath.
Our reign shall last an eternity.

I will no longer let you be humiliated in a horrific reality.
Take my hand, let us ascend.
I will love you seven days a week.
I will tell you tales, and love you as we speak.
I will love you today,
And I will love you more each day.

I will love you like Monday.
Like how the Moon loves to kiss the bay.
Like what happened on July 20, 1969,
I will take the risk like my life is on the line.
Because this day will be the start,
Of a one giant leap for my heart.

I will love you like Tuesday.
Like how Ares loves to slay.
I will fight for you till the end of the week,
And claim you as the prize that I seek.
Because even the God of War,
Lost the battle to the one he adore.

I will love you like Wednesday.
Like how Hermes loves to play.
To your heart, I will become a guide.
Everything that you'll need, I will provide.
Every problem we will outwit.
We will face it together, we won't quit.

I will love you like Thursday.
Like how Thor loves to throw his hammer away.
I'll try to be perfect like him,
Even though I am weak and I am slim.
And when our love meets Ragnarok,
I will remind you how I love you again like an alarm clock.

I will love you like Friday.
Like how Freya loves her beauty to be portray.
On this day I will adore your beauty,
I'll touch and give pleasure to your body.
I'll bring you gifts and other thing,
And I'll hope that one day you'll wear that diamond ring.

I will love you like Saturday.
Like how Cronus loves to eat a new-borns buffet.
How I hope I won't suffer the same fate,
Because did you know what happened to this mate?
I promise not to be a Cronus.
I'll love you and our children as a bonus.

I will love you like Sunday.
Like how the Sun loves to give us a brand new day.
This may be the end of the week,
But my love for you won't end, this I speak.
For I love you seven days a week,
And I'll end everyday with a kiss on your cheek.
it's made for her again. and if you notice, i made it with accordance to the name of the days and the root of its names.

Icarus
plummeting and foolish boy, his fear of flying taken from his fear of falling. His father told him not to go so far, his wings were weak and frail- reeling, retching- ripped to shreds.

Aphrodite
demands your worship on aching knees with a wet mouth- she waits for Ares- the man who claims to show his love with bruises.

Ares
the blue lights of a neon sign reflecting to him as he laughs and starts a fight, his knife shining and dripping scarlet- dripping scarlet, dripping blue neon- the room quickly emptied of souls

Athena
Her wisdom has run dry, she sits in the back of a smoky bar. The bartender pours her another drink and she feels her tequila soaked mind slip into a coma, she doesn’t give- for once and forever- she is free

Apollo
He sits surrounded by woman, the heavy beat pulsing through his bones and all he hears is heavy breathing and bass, he’s all alone- all alone and sitting- no one will look here for him here.

Hera
She dyes her hair and inks her skin in an alley, she wonders why her husband doesn’t look at her the same and traces her hand against the cold brick, pretending it’s his hand as she plays with- considers and contemplates- the idea of calling a lover,

Hades
He chain smokes and wanders the streets of New York, his pale skin pearlescent and soft, he thinks he loves Persephone - and the way a soul feels warm after death- a little too much.

Dionysus
He gets drunk off gin and tonic, his mind wandering to the way Athena looked with the early morning sun on her skin and how much he wanted to write his words- and love, his soft love- on her early morning skin.

Artemis
He hunts for his prey, as the city of sin calls his name blatantly and boldly- he sips a glass of moonshine and curls his lips at the burning taste, he decides moon shine- is colder and softer when- harvested by the gods

Tonight,
at dusk, under the greed washed stars; with the metallic taste of homesickness on their tongues and the dull ache of gin and tonic in their bones- tonight and only tonight- the gods have lost their divinity

I’ve looked up in awe
my heart nearly bursts
it’s beating so rapidly
because this is beauty
& I get to witness it
I am humbled
by the beauty
I am so small
& so are my worries
This gives me inspiration
The same hand
which sculpted these mountains
and painted these stars
Will carry me through
I am so happy to be alive
& to have a purpose

Old stronghold is burning down like dry lone flower
Making all gods disappear
Nothing in this world can make them come back
as fairy kingdom doesn't exist anymore
Dread and misery melt together
Spreading throughout the world
while lone flower's still burning
Everything has its end
Life. Love. Happiness. Sadness.
It's getting darker than ever
No light's left in this world
Nobody will ever forgive us
We'll forever stay humanless souls

my thoughts are shaped like
atom bombs:
bearing faces of angry gods
tearing through the air above.

my thoughts are shaped like
revolver rounds:
their loud, resounding sounds
always make my heart pound.

my thoughts are shaped like
vile things:
describing them makes my eyes sting

so i won't anymore.
intrusive thoughts

Buddha doesn't care.
Jesus isn't aware.
Odin can't see.
Zeus is too carefree.
Ra is on his boat.
Amaterasu has a sore throat.
Jove is away.
Lucifer is in a fray.
Anu's not giving a ****.
Shiva's kinda stuck.
If even the deities left us be,
Why aren't we in a constant glee?
Why do we waste our time on worrying
When we should be hurrying
To find what we truly need.
The thing to sate our greed.
The object of our full attention.
The item to end our asscencion.
The one and only
Love that would make us no longer lonely.
Mister J Oct 2017
For eons I have traveled alone
Wandering the stars and planets
For millennia I created and destroyed
I sought only perfection above all

I saw kingdoms rise
I saw empires crumble
I saw heroes born
I saw villains fall

Power was mine and mine alone
I was the master of my will
Lord of the invisible fate
I alone enjoy this divine existence

But loneliness still haunted me
My existence is my own bane
I guess even gods are vulnerable
When only chaos surrounds them

One day I descended to the earth
to live among the mortal souls
To manipulate with their fates and hearts
Business as usual for me

But in the midst of it all
The strings of fate were working
Pulling my heart towards
This unlikely twisted scene

There she was standing
A mortal soul who's beauty
Transcends the mortal to the immaterial
Then and there, I fell to the ground

Her auburn hair swayed with the wind
Her eyes twinkled of pure onyx
Her scent so sweet to the nose
Like jasmines blooming in full

The innocence in her heart so pure
The curvatures similar to a goddess
I wonder what I had in mind
When I created her to life

Who would have thought
that even gods would fall in love
Fate just made a cruel joke
But even so, I was meant to be here

I have seen it all
I have felt everything that is
Yesterday was a thousand years
Tomorrow is just the next second

But here I was, falling for her
The only time when a god
Fell in love with Mortality
Falling in love with her Humanity

Years have passed like mere seconds
I watched her age, her face becoming frail
Her body weakening rapidly
Slowly crushing my fallen heart

I know Death comes for her soon
and I know her life with me is almost done
But a life without her love is impossible for me
A gaping hole that even eternity cannot fill

I love her from the stars and back
I love her in my dreams and my reality
I loved her when I first breathed her life
And I'll love her still as I face the end of time

Her life is a blimp in the universe
but to me she was everything
I would trade eons of my existence
Just to see her smile again momentarily
Was thinking of a plot for a story. The story of a god falling in love came to mind. It feels a bit rushed for me but let me know what you think. Thanks. :)
One man Oct 2017
They hide behind me wings so wide
not yet right for me to glide
No swoop no soar still more to climb
folded tight its not yet time

I'm not yet all that I could be
so still I wait impatiently
Knowing this life I owe it more
gazed by a window still no door

One day my wings I know will stretch
a change so big I know I'll fetch
I will change how the world does see
when I am all that I could be
