Nothing Much Jan 2015
Here?
Even you are
Nothing;
Worth your
Weight in
Fool's gold
~
Gold fools.
In weight,
You're worth
Nothing.
Are you even
Here?
A little piece for creative writing class.
The glitter of strobe
gratuitous gaiety
platitudes
and sanctimonious guile

******* cocktails
on the menu
an ingratiating mask
a gratified grin

Contorted vocal chords
lots of laughter
no time for irony
look at me.

Please Midas,
Take the golden gun
And shove the golden bullet
Right through my golden skin
And tell me a story about
"All that glitters.."
lX0st Aug 2014
The rips in my sweater
Are a metaphor
For the way your cold hands
Still keep me warm,
And your glittering eyes
After 5 glasses
Are the reason I've diagnosed myself
With insomnia.
Your lips part like the clouds
And expose my soul
To the warmth of your chest
And I actually struggle to breathe
When you say my name
But I can't think of a better way to die.
Death seems to be the omnipresent topic of the week (sorry).

I've always been a small child
who likes to draw and play with toys
and you, you've got glitter in your veins
and I'm perpetually attracted
to such shiny things.
So you caught my attention
from the very beginning
and I, I who am easily distracted,
became hooked on the colors in your soul.

I lie on my back
Watching the darkness swallow the sky
Slowly suffocating the luminous white
Till I start to hallucinate
Glittery specks of light dancing before me
Unmoved by the quiet rain
Invocation Jul 2014
Would you scratch my scalp
twirl brown speckled fingers
twixt ever-lightening
locks, me myself and I
we fight over you
give us a taste
of what we've sweat over

if what i want is on this
decreasingly fertile rock,
possibility of my painful
atrophy, isolated,
dissolves
into shimmers
that make me kawaii
when i check doppelganger
in silver glass
because you
shattered dreams sprinkled
iridescent on bronze ivory

glitter blush for the creature
(in some other word or two,
you're my breaking point)
It's true, you make me blush prettily.
Would you could see it, to pride yourself in tying tongue and rising BPM
