I know girls who go through boys like they did toys on the playground
I know girls who pick at their skin and pull at their hair
I know girls who look so hard for love they give out their heart like it's extra change
I know girls who split their skins to stop the pain
I know girls who are so angry they are hateful, even mean
I know girls throw up in the bathroom after lunch, pretending no one heard them when they come out
I know girls with the universe in their eyes yet they can't see a star
I know girls who give themselves away to feel like someone cares
I know girls who hate their moms
I know girls who hate their dad
And I know girls that would rather die then be caught wearing a dress
I know girls who take too many pills, girls who party a little too hard
I know girls with strait A's since they were 6
I know girls who have panic attacks
There are girls with bones and girls with curves
Girls with hearts as cold as stone
But even with all the types
All the girls
We're all the same
Same love in our hearts
Same soul buried beneath layers of our skin
Truth is
We're all hurt
We all need each other
Girls need girls to get through what girls go through
This is a little rough but it's a poem about all the kinds of girls I've met and observed through my 16 years. Some u was friends with some I hardly knew. The point of this poem is to say every girl needs some body so us girls should be there for each other.

She glides in her glamour
Irresiatible like gamma
I gape in awe
eye candy

I am cornered in stupor
Me, the preyful master of the jungle

Me the systematic schemer
I encountered no stopper
In my predatory exploits

I persued
Ran like a breeze in the meshy thicket
To capture and feast

She saw me
She smiled with conspiracy
Geed me up...
so confusing

I roared ready to strike
But her smile ...it was mesmerizing
I forgot about my mission
The hunter became the hunted

I tell myself I am still in control
After all I got her, or did she get me?
I wonder

She should be my gala
I decide otherwise
To take that moment of temptation
To marvel at her fineness

She is the muse
turning out to be my luck
I might keep hunting
But her I will keep
Preserve and protect

It will be alot better
If see her tomorrow too,
And the next day
And the next day
So I will be her friend rather

Do I love you?
Must I say?
My heart's true song,
Gives me away.

With your predilections,
Just task of me Sonay,
And as in knighthood fictions,
Your dragons I will slay.

You are my sweet maiden,
Yet you are so strong.
You have your own blade in;
Your dragon now is gone.

Would you choose a worthless knight?
With you not for, Sonay love, I fight.

A flower is only sought after for as long as it is fresh and pretty
Don't be like a flower
Don't believe what they declare
We are not just a simple DNA
We are the universe summed up into one
Observe the rules but don't be submissive
Follow your heart but never lose your mind
Pick your own battles and fight it well
And everyday
Don't fail to recall
That you are a fighter
Strong, courageous, wise
Yet still so sweet and soft
Fair, Confident, Honest,
A woman of virtue and respect
You are stunning on your own
You don't need any guy to prove your worth

I'm not BABE
or *******
or PRINCESS
I'm not the names you throw at me from your car window
I'm not HONEY
or SWEETIE
or LOOK AT ME WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU *****
Harassment. A 10 letter word with thousands of synonyms
each one like a knife to my skin
each one a scar I can point to and show
"this is where I stopped trusting"
and
"this is when I started running"
Never was I prepared for a life where Im told to be timid
To shrink myself down
To be humble so that men aren't threatened
To never speak my mind and to laugh at everything he says
To always carry my keys in my hand like they are a weapon
To never show my skin and that its my fault if I'm taken advantage of because "boys will be boys"
We live in a world where the female body is fetishized
Where women are seen as "liars" if they wear makeup and "lazy" when they don't
Where girls in school are being removed from class because their tank top straps aren't three fingers wide as if making sure that men are comfortable is more important than an education.
The overarching misogyny that plagues women everyday
That makes them see themselves as the "second class ***" will always be apparent
Unless we make a change.
So no
I will not SMILE
or BE NICE
I will tear
And destroy
And break
And smash
I will fight.

when you are little, they call you a princess
they say
you can be anything
the sky is your limit

when you are older, you learn that there are conditions
you can be a princess,
as long as you obey your king
The sky is your limit,
but a man must build your rocket
a man's fairy tale means you must be crying out for help,
you need saving,
you are a damsel in distress
now it is time for you to write your own fairy tale
this time, you will be there in the night
there is no damsel in distress because you will save yourself
there is no dragon to slay
because you will breathe fire on those who dare threaten you

your fire burns so brightly

reflects off of your shining amor

burns down your tower
A Nov 2014
You saw only
A vulnerable part of me
Full of tenderness and mischief
All wrapped up in high-pitched
Giddy laughter.

I touched your growing beard
With stories of office happenings
And little rants of hanger and stress
As your empty arms kept me close and warm.
Then you held my hand goodbye.

Boy, you only saw a snippet of me
The tropical islands I came from
And reasons why I love my family.
Done.
My empowered heart has moved on.

And I am so grateful
Because you will never know my dreams.
No.
You no longer deserve my smiles
And will never again hear my giggling.

Hold on to the memory of me
Or who you think I may be.
That's all you'll ever have
A hazy visage
And never all of me.

Find a moment in which the world stops
Becomes idle for a second
Gives space to a dying mind
The membrane of a society
Driven by illusions
Is it all a façade?
The wicked ways we count our money
As if it was worth more than our soul
Worth more than sacred bodies
The wild girls tamed by the men
To close their mouths and hold their tongues
Powerless, hands bound by the ropes of promises
Promises wider than oceans
I swim deep in them
Never satisfied by a life in cold captivity
I insist these doors are left open
Submissive, obey the quiet mouths hard actions
Aching for touch, aching for love
This pretence I figure
To be a shell of what it is in books
An empty box
Embezzled with jewels
Is still an empty box
Your touch remains empty
Your heart turns it’s back to me
Turns it’s back to the warrior girls
With eyes bright with fire
Now eyes dark with ash
Now ask yourself
When did you lose the fight
Against dismissiveness?
Abandoned by the hunters
But the fights of women outweigh
Those of man
Disregarded as merely an object
But do not be fooled
My roar is louder than the thunder of a storm
My bite is harder than the sting of a hand against a thigh
My heart is larger than the mountains you can climb
My words are powerful they can break your spine
My love is fierce, as ferocious as I.
I wrote this based around love and the idea that men are seen as the main power in a relationship. Women are taught that *** is their identity when really there is so much more to them, so much power and soul that stands them apart.
