You are worth galaxies,
the stars,
the sun.

You are worth laughter,
happiness,
and fun.

I wish you
could just see.

Just see,
how much you
mean to me.

Then you'll understand,
what I mean
when I say,

You are worth galaxies,
the stars,
the Sun.

You are worth laughter,
happiness,
and fun.

Your body
Is a creation of the galaxies
A coming together of milky ways and solar flares

When I first saw you, I was stunned
At the sheer amount of stardust it would take
To make something that beautiful

Your body
Is a glass case
Struggling to hold rivers in your veins
Herds of wild horses in your chest
The monarch migration in your stomach

Slowly you are cracking
The glass relenting to the spirit it cannot hold
But when it breaks you will not hurt
You will be free

i lay here in bed
and think about how it would feel
to have you here next to me,
to have your hand enclosed in mine and
feeling the soft pulse that
resonates through the soft skin
of your fingertips.
all i see are the gentle hues of the
sun against the dimming sky,
and i think about how
insignificant it probably seems
in comparison to the
galaxies that form and
radiate in your eyes, for
the descending sun is
merely a speck in the
solar systems that inhabit your
heart, mind, eyes, and soul.

Night after night
I imagine myself
Being strewn across the ocean sky
Like a little star fading in and out of time
Moments of everlasting infinite irises
Block out my vision

your eyes contain galaxies,
which explains why i get lost in them
every time i look at you.

Sometimes while sitting next to you
I feel as if we are actually galaxies away from one another
and I'll try my damnedest to gather up all the stars in the vicinity
and spell you out a message among the constellations.
But for some reason you can't read my signs.
Maybe we're not speaking the same language,
or I simply haven't gathered enough stars to adequately display what I'm attempting to say.
Whatever the cause, our miscommunication turns the inches between our bodies
into unconquerable territory
that spans light years.

The night she spills her sweet secrets
like dripping nectar
which collect like starlight in your hair,
as you sit and watch
wide eyed and amazed
at the wonders of the heavens above
they sparkle for you,
a spectacle
the magik of the cosmos
unfurling like the wings of an angel.

Look up above your head and you will see
A swirl of stars, all shimmering across the sky.
Countless specks of sand on a seemingly endless beach.

Beyond your sight the universe expands
At a frightening rate.
Faster and Faster
Quicker than light.
Thousands of galaxy clusters
Teeming with stars.

So many planets await us.
Many billions they say.
But it would take many thousands of years
To reach the nearest star
By rocket.

Unpack those telescopes I declare.
If we can’t get there
We can stand and stare.

Who knows what’s out there in our Milky Way?
We must keep searching
Come what may.
A Modern topic.

The way you stare
as if the galaxies
are right in front of you.

The way you smile,
like you've discovered
a new type of hue.

Too bad you're looking at her,
and
not me.
A poem about witnessing the one you love look at the one they love and it's not you.
