Chasing fallen Aspen trees
Screaming out into the breeze
Running, running, can’t catch me
Out here in the Ashen trees

Ashes of the Aspen trees
Burnt down beauty,
No matter to me
If you call out
They’ll answer thee
Fairies once in Aspen trees

Falling, falling,
Fallen leaves
Spinning off along the breeze
Spiraling onto the ground
Make sure not to make a sound

Summon spirits in the trees
Reach your hand out to thee
A touch of faith,
It’s time to leave

The Fairies’ dying Aspen Trees
Again, just from a story of mine

The honeybee delights in her perch
Crooning ageless songs to the tussore silk petals
A low thrum in the sweet saffron ****
A brush of honey around her entrance
She is the fae
Moth, too
Stumbling to reach the pendulous light in a drunken merriment
Dancing shadows over dry walls
A thin imitation of butterfly
Who is fae, too
Centipede and silverfish
Body full of a thousand darting eyes
Cautious, careful, carried
On the tips of toddler's fingers
Crawling, cradled
In the impregnable hands of a careless child
Wingbeats like a dreary applause
In the dew-soaked trellis
The labyrinth of gossamer thread
Arachne is prideful.
Escape, escape,
There is a minute sound of a spider weeping
Dry, Like sand through an hourglass
As she wraps the children in viscid cloth
Drier still are the ghosts crackling as tiny feet
Navigate the cicada grave
Skin grows tighter and tighter
Summer is over now
Just a thought about bugs

Yes, it is true
I once believed that I loved you
Just as I once believed in faries

“Yes”, she said.
Braced fast, I stood.
My face did then bloom red
And I trembled ‘neath my hood.

Reeling free of constraint,
Rapt in shock, my mind
Searched for words valiant,
An ardent echo to find.

But shaking visibly o’ertook me
And nonchalance took flight.
My devoted flame took pity,
Her empathetic smile came to light.

“My love”, she whispered.
“My heart!” I urged.
Our hot blood blistered
As our fevered limbs merged.

The dark room spun around us
And moon-lit fairies showed their wings!
Our frenzied dance evinced no locus
In the celebration this night brings!

The vast distance of time I endured
Until this impetuous embrace befell
Has been unbearable and belabored;
All my hope had drained to Hell.

But all at once my life was liberated,
For tumbling down came her love!
I never believed I would feel this exhilarated,
Joined as one to her heart from above.

in the desert, she waits
for what? no one knows

she has sand in her long brown hair
which sparkles on the setting sun’s rays
she wears  a necklace of large white shells
and long flowing green robes
over her naked body
opening to show
two pale hairless legs

in the desert she paints
scenes from her brain

full of color and glitter
pouring a bit from the edges

of every person she has ever encountered
with pointed ears and gossamer wings

she wears a crown of sea ****
and ***** sleep at her feet
she listens, alone, as the ocean speaks
its vibrant blue waves a lullaby so sweet

her eyes are two clear crystals
reflecting the light
as sea gulls caw and mosquitoes buzz
she buries her toes in cold sand
and leans against the craggy worn rock
painting, silently, crying salt water tears

as her thin paper wings
lie in a tattered heap
ripped at the shoreline
getting ****** in by the ocean’s strong pull
disappearing into the froth of waves
while the sun’s bald head slips
into streamline

When I was young,
My ma would say:
"Beware the Sidhe
And Faerie Rings."

When I was young?

When I was young,
My ma would say:
"Bring tea and cakes
So they'll be gay."

When was I young?

When I was young,
My ma would say:
"They'll keep you safe,
Or take you 'way."

Am I human?

     "Alabaster!
     I am Leannán.
     This one whispered
     To you, sweet boy."

Alabaster?
     "Your name! Your name!
     Your spirit i claimed.
     A vow you made,
     And now you've paid."

With you I'll stay!
     "Among my folk?
     Keep fast your yoke,
     Or flesh will fade
     And farewells bade."

A song! A song!
     "Your song, my love,
      You've sang it well,
     And flowers laid
     For our parade."

Can you see? Can you see?!
Where the Faye roam free,
Where the earth and the sky are one in the night.

Can you see, can you see?
Where the Faries fly free,
And dance in the light of the moon shining bright.
*Can you hear? Can you hear?!

The laughter of the lutes, and the songs of the Stars.
As they pull you to their world, too enchanted to run.
Can you hear, Can you hear?
The songs of the Sirens trying to beguile,
And the tunes of the Naiads calling you to drown,
Into the depths of the water, of which they both ware the Crown.
its not finished, i wanted to add, "Can you feel" for the earth, but it just hasnt come to me.
