I am three parts undone,
Holding onto the last link,
Trying to put myself back together again,
Trying to keep hold of the pieces that flutter in the persistent snarl of the wind.
Don't forget me
It's already so hard.
With every support that drops I feel my world crumble all over again,
Like the salt mountains that form on my tear stained cheeks,
When you leave don't let go
Too many people let go.
And now I'm swaying on my feet,
This skin is too brittle to bend in the storm,
I grow tired,
And my fingers are slipping.
I watch as what I am floats away to something more,
While I am left with all that I was,
Don't forget me
It's already too hard.
All that remains is the soft breath on which my name is whispered
Whisper me in pastels,
With soft lines and gentle blends,
Let me fade into the symphony like an afterthought the composer forgot to erase.
Let me dance on your breaths,
Let me let go-
I won't forget you.

The strings
the way I pluck it
gives extra strength
to my soul.
The notes
I try to read
drives my thirst
spirit.
The lyrics
I write in a paper
expresses every single
emotion.
The music
I hear and I make
mends shattered
feeling.

But

The passion
I have
and truly love
seems fading.
The comparison
I get from others
is breaking every
notes.
The people
who are showing that
I am no good
made my paper empty.
Discouragement
scrapes the willing
and hoping
heart.

I feel like
the people I'm used to talking to..
Are fading away
I'm alone again
K Balachandran Jun 2015
In the inner labyrinths
when I  walk alone
a gazing benevolent  eye, I see,
the helix nebula of my origin
watching me, intently
beloved star, once a dazzling sun,
you refuse to go quietly
in to the night's ferocity
mother dear, in your core
undying love still burns
singing my favorite old lullaby.
Helix Nebula,
in the shape of a giant eye,
is a dying star  bigger in death than in life;
it's cosmic tantrum is spectacular....
Remains of a star it is, more like our sun..reminds me weakening  connection of umbilical chord..as time ticks away
(To my MOM)
I was whole
                        Not broken
                                              Before my soul
                                                                          Took this body
                                                                                                      For its own
echoes fading
like words etched
on wet sand
about to be
pelted with
wave
after
wave
of salty water that
cascades like
tears on
pale cheeks
that fall
like raindrops
on dry earth
about to be
****** up and
buried
six
feet
under
Another poem I wrote as a class assignment. I dunno if the teacher was expecting this.
Paris Raine May 2015
I wonder when these shoes will wear?
If they'll ever spare another tear,
All scruffed and gruffed,
All wrinkled and crow'd,
A pair for a no show.

I wonder when this jacket will cease
to respire any fibre?
When the hem will begin to stem
an elongated thread,
The buttons express of remorse,
Why must they fall short?

I wonder when these trousers
will fail to hold my waist?
No matter to extensions or nostalgic reconsiderations,
No belt will spare thee,
or brace to contain me.

I wonder when these fingers
will cease to play?
All the joints never to cease with pain,
Wave away the cartilage and ivory keys,
Never to be pleased with the hollow sound.

I wonder when these ears
will turn hollow?
Through and out, not even a shout
Just regress into silent
remoteness.

I wonder when this love will fade?
Like the shoes and the clothes,
my fingers and musical repose,
But I'm not afraid,
For I know these will fade.

All is made to evaporate
apart from
the love that hides from sight
but burns in glorious light

Through the portals of our mind
that same light I see
time after time,
lit within your eyes.
