I will wear my love for you as you wake
not knowing if I'll be shaken so much today
that I'll let my back out from under support
that I'll let my soul slip sideways and wave goodby
while you look up at the snapping beams
wishing you were still asleep
I will write you a list of words as in our struggle with spoken verse
I am caught with what I mean to say stuck in meaningless whispers
Killing myself again, against your wishes, with cigarettes
spinning the secret notions and emotions in a song
I believe in nighttime you'll find my
praise of you as I sing, deeply

On a winter night,
listen at the window

Cold wind blowing on your face
and through your shirt
let the pressure go
Oh,
Invite my shyly into your space
feel that I'll be thankful
when I wake
that I surround you
This is for my partner, Rebecca.

In a world where there are more questions than answers there are few truths, few facts to live one's only life by. One must not fear the greatest of all fact, life's great inevitable truth, death. One must accept and embrace it, and through this gives birth to something much greater. The second great inevitable truth of life, one's legacy. The thought that the only thing that connects you to the living world besides your body after death is, the things you've done. The people you've touched, the changes you've made, lives you've brought into the world, lives you've impacted, all intertwined in a web of actions and decisions that define your affect on the world, bringing such a burning passion with a great sense of one's purpose, that gives inspiration, motivation, aspiration, to reach ones peak of mind, body, and soul. To stand for something, think outside the box , evolve, express yourself, and make a difference. If there's anything in this universe we humans have for certain its ourselves, stand up if not for yourself, then the ones you love.To live, to love, to leave a legacy
In words I can embrace you only to destroy all in flesh.
Are torments shared often compare are we not flawed my dear in love and charmed in life?

My monster of ego knows no weakness except the tears of your eyes I'm so sorry for the man I've become from demons I've cast we couldn't bare the flame yet in this dead of winter may we know are warmth.

Those eyes that I've seen fade now spring still my hearts wraith are the nights now colder alone or is my emptiness to much to bare?
Scars I have traced upon the flesh never mend that of this emotional drain you are that which I can never be .

You know the man not the image and I see through the past to what's of a bitter sweet embrace we have stood as enemies and loved as immortals.
A sunsets reprise often is the deepest sadness for in pain I see the beauty so few ever cared to know.

I am a villain to most and simply John to you.
Are roads cant be imagined yet I never would cast aside the wreckage for another to replace .

We understand what so few could ever fathom.
Together we are addicts of the abyss sometimes you realize the darkness brings far more comfort than the light .

I whisper to you in this night gentle for only you to hear.

Little girl do you grasp all that I can never say in words?

To most I am a monster but to you I am only John.
This will probably be taken wrong .
But as always I believe it's better to let the reader make up there own ideas for when we put out work it takes on a  life of it's own.

I hand-over my heart
Wrap it up in every single thing I do
For it all to come to a screeching halt
Over a few hours... of a few days... of a whole year
Of sweat blood and tears.

All I have left to show:
A few extra pennies
A fuller resume
Warm memories of inspired children
Cold memories of anger and spite
A tepid heart searching for the light

Helen, you are such a sweet lady, a blessing we are grateful of
You always makes us happy, you're a gift from up above
We know how much you love music but you decided something for us
Not only thinking of yourself, nothing to think, nothing to discuss

Oh, dear Helen, I remember when you were born like a fragile thing
You are so tiny yet so precious, you made us laugh, you made us sing
Those many gadgets attached to you, to your tiny and fragile frame
We did not lose hope for God saved you, Oh how we're thankful to praise his name

We are so grateful of you, Helen, you are a sweetheart to everyone
We hope your plans will materialize and everything worthy will be done
We love you so much, our dear child, we only want your happiness
In your very special moment, I wish your world will be full of bliss

Who won't be thankful of you? You are a God-fearing youth
You always speak for the good things, you always want to tell the truth
Today is your precious day, let's celebrate, let us be happy
Let us dance and be thankful,  my baby girl is now a lady!

I've learned how to love myself,
And I've gained confidence, too.
I never knew such adoration,
Until I met you.

The stars aligned for us,
And though I've called them crossed,
Our lives are so enriched,
There cannot be a loss.

The technology of the day
Has made our Union possible.
There is so much left to say.
So much joy, it is unstoppable.

And though this Century has blessed
Us with the gift of togetherness,
We know we well surpass
What others will never caress.

I will be by your side all this while,
And through the years, I'll boldly go,
And with any thought of you, I smile.
You're with me more than you will know.
Xoxo,

Amy

“Don’t worry because
     I will make time
     to stare at you;
     tracing your collarbones
     like constellations and;
     watch your eyes
     obligingly flutter close
and darling, I’ll kiss each eyelid
     hoping you'll ******* love,
turn your eyes into the colors
     of someone you loved
and in time, they’ll turn into mine
and you will dedicate your time,
     staring at me
as much as I did to you
     when he didn’t.”
May this resonate with you.
May you be alleviated
Entirely in the wake of the dawn.
I will fulfill your spirit
With my lambent presence.

In other words, the perennial balm
Filled the pores of your conscious.

We are immense and intense
Like the god-inspired galaxies,
And as passionate as Hades.

May we carry on as one.

You have to have
a good second half
your second half
must be as good
as your first half
your second half
can be even better
than your first half
but if your first half
is a good half
and you blow it
in your second half
then you have only
finished half
only put half
of the time in
only gotten half
of the work done
only completed half
of the journey
whenever
and however
you start it
a good first half
can easily come
apart if
you do not make
the second half
of all you have
completed
solid and
positive
so your task
is not defeated
making you feel
as if you never
competed.

Have a strong
second half
so your first
is not cheated.

Offer your words
At the altar of poetry
See the words blossom
Into fragrant flowers
Aroma of the soul
In the poems
