If those free verses
Coincide
With anyone’s life

Let them
Enjoy the ride
Or change their way

My apology
I will not
Change my words
Genre: Experimental
Theme: Coincidence is not an excuse, the words liberate how it need to be, finding it's way. Understanding of yours, I don't have control over. Enjoy the reading.

Their eyes meet, and out from their lips comes the sounds of stuttered words, fingers unsure, eyes searching, hearts feeling visions that race through their minds. It’s as if this moment was paramount, even though faded memories only led to the time of now. They do no think. They only feel. Their cracked, papery lips never felt drier than before, but as if prompted by a spirit that harboured the edges of their souls, words tumbled out into a thin, fine stream—as if practised through aeons, and memorised by their immortal spirits, eternal in finite bodies, and ingrained within their tired minds, they say, “I’ve seen this before.”

And only their spirits know if it is true.

I just realized,
I have a painting of
A pineapple
In my room
Made by
Yours truly

I have a pineapple
Hat bought on a whim
At Walmart
Last year

I have a newly bought
Pineapple
Backpack
Because of
The sheer
Randomness

I nearly googled pineapple
I used to watch Sponge Bob
(For those of you who don’t know, he lives in a pineapple)
...
...
...
I don’t even eat pineapples that much
...
...
What’s going on?
...
I think multiple
Sets of coincidences
Became a serious
Thing
..
.
..
But I don’t have a pineapple obsession!
.........
......
...
Do I?
Possible weird, mildly worrying obsession of your own? Feel free to comment!

Loving you was like I jumped on a train at the last second; the doors sliding behind me and I almost missed it, the carriage that held you. As I took a seat I noticed you there, sat reading a book, holding a sweet smile across rose tinted cheeks, the glasses you wear hanging tightly atop your nose. I never want to leave. I stop, start staring like an idiot and its obvious how I feel, but you haven’t noticed my existence. The book is written by someone who stole your heart and even though I hope you finish it before my stop I know you can’t. I just wish you’d have looked up. Just once, at me. I wish you’d have seen what I’d seen looking at you one last time as I stepped off the carriage and onto a platform that lead somewhere you would never know. Somewhere we would never be.

A weep of fate

There was a man sat on a bench, waiting for his bride to arrive;
There was a woman outside a church, wiping the tears from her eyes.
Today was the day his future bride would have arrived;
Today was the day her husband had lost his life.

The tears that poured down from his eyes,
Created the puddle in which her reflection lied.
Her smile told of beauty, of love and of radiance;
When inside all she felt, was the end of all romance.

She handed him her handkerchief and asked what was wrong;
The words fell from his mouth, unwittingly like a song.
His bride, he said, had not arrived.
His heart was broken; his love-life had died.

She offered him comfort and he thanked her for caring,
Then she spoke of her lover and his death left her crying.
As the two of them talked, she embraced all his words,
As she realised he was just like her.

She suddenly stopped and apologized for talking,
For she had come over in the first place,
To maybe aid him, whilst she was herself in mourning.
As he told her his tale, it saddened her to see,
The man was still in mourning, for his bride to be.

One year before, in a collision with a car,
She too had died and floated away up into the stars.
Coincidence, this may have been.
Two lovers were now lost, to never be;
But with a simple twist of fate, new lovers would exist…

Their misery had given them a connection.
Their love was so strong, it left a lasting impression.
Now twenty two years later, at the graveyard she weeps;
For the twice widowed woman,
Has lost her man of mourning in his sleep.

My heart syncs with the ticking clock
You stepped through, our eyes locked
Eyebrows raised, a signal gave and
all time stopped.

Help!
Call an ambulance!

Thank you for saving my life
For if you haven't called
9-1-1
I would of died.
For I eat too much
processed food!
Just an attempt at humor :)

She'll never know the way he feels, as he tucks her hair behind her ear.

Just as he'll never know what it is she feels, when her hand finds itself on the back of his neck, between the ears.

Coincidence...
Still...a little weird. Lol
