You fought silent battles
You cried because of loneliness
But no one noticed your brokenness
And you let depression **** your happiness

You started building your self-esteem again
Until someone tries to break you
But never happened
'Cause you are braver than them

This time, I choose positivity
Never let anxiety to eat me
I am a soldier
I am a brave fighter.
don't let negativity **** your happiness

She had the soul of a sailor,
And the mind of a writer.
She used ocean water for ink,
And tattooed stories on her heart.

She had the eyes of an elephant,
And the heart of a forest.
She danced with the dragonflies,
In the lazy dawn.

She had the smile of a symphony,
And the soul of an orchestra.
She sung like a moonlight mystery,
With poetry sweet as a sunlight serenade.

She is brave enough.
She knows her purpose,
She will not stand to the side.
she will stand with pride.
She is indomitable.

She is brave enough.
You can be brave enough too. Not exactly brave, but brave enough.

Conquer now, little by little,
work hard and harder, just don't become brittle,
hard work devoid of true rest, will surely derail your quest,
you aren't the first or the last, to go through hardships,
remember the past,
many before you have come and gone,
so what makes you think,
that you are the one?

It doesn't matter,
do your very best,
so you'll be able to end,
without regret in your chest,
that you didn't try, or were afraid to act,
we are all meant to die, and that's a proven fact,
no, you might not get rich, or have stadiums packed,
but your hearth will be right, you were brave in the fight.
The true "be strong" poem
To be brave
Doesn't mean that you aren't scared
It means that you're terrified
And you've realized your fear
It doesn't mean that you have conquered it
In many of your brave battles
Fear still resides in your heart
Rowing without a paddle

To be brave
Isn't to be feared
It means that you can be pathetic
It means that you are scared
But bravery also means
That you have made up your mind
That you will tell your fears to just back off
Just for this short amount of time
Tell them to leave you alone
Because I have a stage to steal
Tonight, the world is all mine

To be brave
Really means that you were scared
And despite that fear
You did what needed to be done
To protect and save
The people that you loved
Even if this task might lead to death
You know at least
You tried to save someone.
Being brave is not about fearlessness. Trust me, bravery doesn't start without a fear.

In thousands they stand to face the demon unseen.
Faceless they are but you know who I mean.

Doctors and nurses, shop keepers and drivers,
that give us yet hope that we may yet be survivors.

Churchill once said "so much to so few"
Now in this time we owe that tribute to you.

Without your brave stand then we all would sure fail,
you give cause for hope that we may yet prevail.

You fight for all that we love and those we hold dear,
Our world owes you so much for facing our fear.

It is a debt that in a lifetime I could never repay
with all of my heart, thank you so much, is all I can say.
The world now sees the mighty for who they really are. Those who carry us when we need to be carried. To all of you "essential" people thank you for caring for this non-essential soul.

As the world slept I lay awake,
As the world slept I wrestled with questions I couldn't answer,
As the world slept I lay awake fearing I was breaking all over again,
As the world slept I prayed the voices in my head would be quite even just for a moment,
As the world slept I watched the sun rise
As the world slept I smiled and believed in the hope of a new day,
As the world slept the sun's rays shone the light of endless possibilities in my heart,
As the world slept the darkness lifted I'm free of my fears,
When the world wakes I too will step out
Join all of humanity in it's rhythm of living,
Bravely step out and mark my footprint on this land.

Beauty does not seek attention:
But when she steps in, she gets all the ovation
Melanin defined, answering every question
You are about to ask.
With the complexity in their complexion,
I can hear their skin “say glow like diamond”

Brave, beautiful, bold; she earns the major “B”
Of course, she is queen Bee!
Majestically making her way to the throne in your heart, you wonder how she penetrates.
She is beautifully crafted, masterpiece of the master of all pieces,
That MAN up there must have taking his time.

All shades of her from chubby, thick, to tall. slender, olive, light, black, fair, tan brown.
Have you seen her tribal marks?
More like a landmark of territories she has conquered, with each stroke representing her “might”

Written off by history,
Knocked off by discrimination.
Trampled upon with stereotype
But each time she rises stronger than the tides
So typical; of an AFRICAN WOMAN
Heart of a warrior, body of QUEEN
Irony of royalty,
All hail: quit wondering how she prevails
Cause never will her crown slip away……..
my description of a typical African woman

To all the stopovers
and endings
the delays
and the in between
and the waiting.

I know that it was God's plan
so I will keep still
while pouring all my faith
and trusting God's hands.
God had and always been my refuge. Never did he fail me nor left me. That's why I leave it all to Him. He knows and wants what's best for me.
I know two strong ladies
wish I could see them daily

they are brave and smart
where do I even start?

sometimes life gives them trouble
and they just smile back double

I want to be there for them
celebrate their victories
and heal them after injuries

gratitude and happiness
is what I feel when we come together
an amazing friendship, what a pleasure

with those two strong ladies I know
I keep shining, I grow

I wish life won’t tear us apart
because our friendship warms my heart
