Sweeter, to adjust to a shadow
Fruition, in no way a sudden future
Survival to alacrity, glad to owe...
Where we are, a have to predict purity...

Same sense, same scent...?
Adrenaline fueled
A reason to foretell meant
With the ides of composure, silence due?

Mutual poise
Purpose ought, a halt
To obscurity, a wiser choice
Has said hello, for a salt...

Common, certain problems...
Just to save curiosity the trouble
Succinct energy's, sated by a whim
Share a decency, like it was ours, wonder

Shadows of change
Told to accrue accept, like another friend
Spare time, for the total of strange...
No matter how well done, we know life for its ends...
More married amends, like all of a promised land, was meant only...

When they came down from their disk
With their blinding lights
And their alloy ramps
It quickly became obvious
Unexpectedly, in our hubris,
That they wished only to
Gas up,
Take some pictures of squirrels
And stretch their limbs
Before setting out toward a finer frontier.
Did you hear something about an intergalactic highway being built?

Gravity died,
Or so it seemed to us, who were to die,
All loose objects vortical,
Yet static,
                 car spinning,
side over side, the policeman said,
No one could've survived,
Radial blur
All in the rearview
Thud of impact, Thud of stillness
No screams till the spinning wheel ceased
and then only one,
                                 melting like snow upon asphalt.

I start to back into a spot,
Then they drive in front or behind, rushing
Somewhere; those people are the worst.

We give guns to our sons,
to protect our land
to protect our souls
to protect our goals

We have guns in the truck
guns in the car
in the prison bus
guns just for fun.

guns at the airport
guns on the plane
guns in the air,
guns in every state

guns at the armory
guns at the bank
guns for the money
guns in the safe

guns on The Hill
guns on patrol
guns on the street
"guns that ****"

guns on the gangs
guns in the trains
guns at the range
guns on the stage

guns on T.V
guns at big screens
guns at the table,
guns on the scene

guns on the plains,
guns in the mount,
guns in the desert,
guns we can't count

guns in the south,
guns from the west,
from coast to coast
guns everywhere!

guns on hand
guns on the boats

Guns across           ---          the whole wide world.

Guns in Mosul,
Guns in Iraq
Guns in Japan
Guns in Slovak

Guns in Chicago
Guns in Bhutan
Guns in Australia, Malay, and
Taiwan

Guns in Korea,
Guns in the ocean
Guns on the shores, guns never broken
--or sold or banned or destroyed or stolen

No token
prayer,
no
sign of devotion
no tears
or weeping
or candles
have spoken

for the thousands dead, the thousands snuffed dead

Guns in the policecar,
Guns in the open

Guns on the street,
But no, we can't own them

Our children are dead, dying and born
Into a world of guns, and guns that won't go

we protect our world, our money, our loves
with guns

So why don't we do so?
With the children?
Our sons?

Cars so close together
You can count their middle fingers,
Horns honking everywhere
Traffic is like an urban bomb scare.
People just don't know how to drive.
It's a wonder how they can survive.

Tooting and beeping,
The human brain is sleeping,
It looks like, by and large
Lizard brains are in charge.
There are no cops around;
They’re in another part of town
Policing those who feel they need
To smoke that evil devil ****.

Meanwhile traffic does it's thing,
Increasing daily suffering.
It's part of what it means to be
Alive in today's society,
Driving hell bent like it matters
Leaving peace of mind in tatters.
Rush hour traffic is what is wrought
Like a bad cold the earth has caught.

You can’t avoid it altogether.
It’s like Twain said of weather.
You can talk about it every day
And do nothing about it either way.
So maybe not have everyone at once
Hitting the road like a silly dunce.
Couldn’t the employers take a clue;
Change their schedule an hour or two?

Maybe some would think it great
To start their journey hours late?
Some could go now and some then
And wait hours, then begin again,
The next batch could be on their way
And start out having a good mood day.
Or maybe we could all stay home
And leave the rest of the world alone

Here I am, off on a trip,
Do I travel on an new airship?
Or do a take a train, not so hip?
Or do I drive my vintage car?
Or is this trip too far?
No, like Icarus the star,
I'll grow wings, better than the car,
So, no automobiles, planes or trains,
No bus, but my wings, that's plain!
Feedback welcome.

My shiny car, I love that Japanese luxury
It was a hand-me-down from my mom
I love her for that
I named my car Avy short for Avalon
A good Asian car not like those American cars
Those American cars are big and strong
Asian Cars are easy-going and have nicer sound systems
But there’s something different about this car
Every year
The metal
Rusts away
And I’m scared that one day I’ll lose her

Cars moving backwards down a highway
Turning off the headlights
Watching the rearview mirror
As I brake

And I told her that she hurt me
I want to trust her
But I can't go through this again

Still the most beautiful
But I read the signs
The lights are red
As I brake

I feel this cold
I want to trust her
But I've felt this cold before
Love going wrong. Long story, I've been hurt, she wants me to forgive her. I don't know if I can
