I wrote a song about a story about a story about a song
Three minutes thirteen seconds
So, it wasn't quite that long
Filled with love and disappointments
All the things a good song needs
I wrote a song about a story about a story about a song

They said "write something simple"
I said "I'll see what I can do"
They told me "you can do it"
"you're the best at what you do"

I needed something with emotion
Something new and something hot
I wrote for fourteen hours
And this is what I got

I wrote a song about a story about a story about a song
Three minutes thirteen seconds
So, it wasn't quite that long
Filled with love and disappointments
All the things a good song needs
I wrote a song about a story about a story about a song

It was a little love song
You know...people could relate
I played it to the band
They said "Man, this song is great"

It's a little bit of Shakespeare
With some Poe there on the side
The song was full of highs and lows
It would take you for a ride

I wrote a song about a story about a story about a song
Three minutes thirteen seconds
So, it wasn't quite that long
Filled with love and disappointments
All the things a good song needs
I wrote a song about a story about a story about a song

In the end when it was finished
It charted, not for long
Then I realized the story here
Was the story 'bout the song

So, I wrote a song about a story about a story about a song
Three minutes thirteen seconds
So, it wasn't quite that long
Filled with love and disappointments
All the things a good song needs
I wrote a song about a story about a story about a song

Have you ever heard the story of the young girl?
Who ventured into the hospital after a life-changing mistake.
The girl who spends her days hiding the red lines on her arms and legs.
The young girl who proclaimed the perfect life.
Have you?
I bet you haven’t.
Nobody heard mine
Not a single soul.

My name is Aya
And it’s been 1,460 days since I’ve been alone.
It’s been 1,095 days since I’ve been hurt.
And It’s been 730 days since I’ve been broken

And this is my story.
The one nobody cared to listen to, and nobody cared to write.

A story of a young girl with brown hair up in a bun.
With the only worry being next week’s math test.
A story of a young girl who seemed she’d forever be in her awkward phase
of the early teenage years.

The story of a girl with an annoying brother
And worrisome parents.
The story of a girl with a poodle named Cocoa
And a cat named Mushu.

The story of a young girl with a great life
But made one stupid, fast, misjudged decision.
That felt she had to prove to someone that she was grown up.
That she could handle the big stuff.

The story of a young girl who at just 12
Became with child.
The story of a young girl who at just 12
Was told to get married.

The story of a young girl
Who would become a single parent.
The story of a young girl
Who at 12 became without a home.

The story of a young girl
Who at the age of 13 experienced the loss of her child.
The story of a young girl who ended up alone
Without her newborn child.

The story of a young girl
Who spent her days looking for edible berries in the forest.
The girl who spent her nights
Lurking in the shadows at the home she once had that vaguely smelled of strawberries.

The girl who at the age of 14
Diagnosed herself with depression.
The girl who at the age of 14
Diagnosed herself with anxiety.

The girl who ventured back to her home
To only be scolded by her Mother.
The girl who learned of the second loss in her family
Her dear brother Evan.

The girl who watched the funeral in a distance
So that nobody could hear her wailing cries.
So, nobody could feel the pressuring guilt that radiated off her, as her soul broke.
When she found out her brother had taken his life when she never came back home.

The story of a girl who forced herself into foster care
Going house to house.
The girl who marked red lines on her arms
To try and cope with the pain.

The story of a girl who
Ran to the lake once the clock struck two.
And jumped in not bothering or wanting to come up.
And not hearing the deafening cries of a young detective.

The story of a girl
who at the age of 16
was wheeled into the hospital doors.
with injures beyond repair
and a slim will to live.

The story of Aya
a 12-year-old girl
who made one decision
that caused years of suffering for many.

Let me tell you the beginning of a love story
That began with pretty eyes and rosy lips
Let me tell you the beginning of a love story
That started with hello and ended in silence

Let me tell you the beginning of a love story
Where he was all she thought she'd need
Let me tell you the beginning of a love story
Where she romanticized everything

Let me tell you the beginning of a love story
He read her words in a celebrity's voice
Let me tell you the beginning of a love story
Where getting swept away wasn't a choice

Let me tell you the middle of a love story
Roses grew among the thorns
Let me tell you the middle of a love story
And they lost everything they thought they'd found

Let me tell you the middle of a love story
Where he chose to walk away
Let me tell you the middle of a love story
Where she captured his essence in poetry for days

Let me tell you the end of a love story
The pen is falling to the ground
Let me tell you the end of a love story
Where they begged and pleaded too loud

Let me tell you the end of a love story
Where everything turned out wrong
Let me tell you the end of a love story
Just because a song is bad doesn't mean you don't sing along

This is the end of our love story
Who put faith in chemistry anyway
These are the last words of our love story
So hello, my dear, and goodbye
The end.

this is not a cry for a help

this is a story

the story of a girl who used to smile a lot and laugh at the right times. the story of a bright beautiful girl with pretty soft skin and freckles on her nose. this the story of a girl with vibrant black hair and sparkling blue eyes.

this is the story of a girl who worked hard in school because she wanted to go somewhere. this is the story of a girl who pushed herself to be the greatest she could possibly be. this is the story of a girl who cared and cared and worked and worked...

until one day she stopped.

this is the story of a girl who has had enough. the story of a girl who had been pushed too hard to keep on going. this is the story of a girl with no way out. this is the story of a girl who can't cope anymore.

this is the story of a girl who can no longer smile without crying, and whose laugh is cold and void of emotion. this is the story of a sad girl with bumpy red skin that is covered with scars and cuts. this is the story of a girl with dull black hair and empty eyes.

this is not a cry for help

this is a story

the story of a girl who no longer cared.

This story is a story
I'd have to tell in person.
Where the person
should be able to listen
for a long time.
They should be patient
and not say a word
'till the end of the story.

This is a type of story
without any end.
It slowly adds a page on
day by day.
It's a story that will have no end
until the day I die.

This is a story
about me.
It's a story where
hearts are broken
and where mending occurs.

It's a story where
tears are shed.
And I'd told myself that
no more of those.
Boys are not worth crying over
even in the toughest of times.

It's a story where
the no-crying rule
has made me stronger
It's made me guard my heart
and helped me to live better.

It's a story where
I think I've moved on
but inside I know I haven't.
I leave those thoughts to
the back of my head.
But they come back to haunt me
anyways.

It's a story where
those thoughts occur
whenever the moment arrises.
I tell myself there's someone new
but my mind won't let me get over it.

It's a story where
my mind is so stubborn
and won't move on.
It's stuck back on that person
and won't let me change my mindset.

It's a story where
maybe I won't move on
because of all the time I've spent
chasing after that person.
All the energy I've spent.

It's a story where
I've just let it hang there
and it'll always hang there
'till the day I die.
~First poem
Apple pie and hunting ducks
rusty, worn out pick up trucks
tales of being out of luck
The story's in the song

Broken hearts and drinking beer
Friday nights, the weekend's here
Strong enough to shed a tear
The story's in the song

The story's in the song my friends
The story's in the song
If you can not hear the tale
I've told the story wrong
The story's in the song my friends
The story's in the song
Listen close and you will find
The story's in the song

Driving on a red dirt road
Carrying a heavy load
Living to a cowboy's code
The story's in the song

Backroad driving in the dark
Pick up games down at the park
Memories that leave a mark
The story's in the song

The story's in the song my friends
The story's in the song
If you can not hear the tale
I've told the story wrong
The story's in the song my friends
The story's in the song
Listen close and you will find
The story's in the song
I write a story of love and hate
A story of dust and ashes
A story of light and darkness
A story of strength and weakness
A story of good and bad
A story of justice and evil
A story of tears and happiness
A story of joy and sadness
A story of life and death
A story of truth and lies

I write of a man and a woman
A story of temptation
A story of betrayal
A story of bitterness
A story of pain
A story of lust

I write of heartache
I write of the heart wrenching pain- pleasure of love
I write of unnamed feelings
I write of unnamed desires
I write of unnamed thoughts

I write of he who journeys through love and returns unscathed
I write of he who journeys through love and returns sane
I write of he who journeys through love and returns to love again

This is a story of stolen kisses and unfulfilled promises
A story of broken hearts and shattered dreams
A story of tears and agony.

This is a story of fire and ice
Which are you?

Have you heard the story,
the story of how the Sun loved the Moon?
Of course you have.
He loved her so much he died every night,
just so she could breathe.
Everyone knows that story.

What about the story,
the story of the girl who lived with the stars?
No?
She looked down at the Earth and dreamed.
She dreamed of trees and water and life,
of finding a freedom she had yet to know.

What about the story,
the story of the girl who lived in the forest?
How strange.
She looked up at the skies for guidance and light,
and found solace when she saw the stars
winking at her in the sky.

You don't know this story?
The story of the girl whose laughter was the sound of
rain on the river; and the girl who loved her more than
life itself.
It's beautiful. Why?
Because, most of all, it's a story of love,
a story of when green eyes met blue.

Why tell this story?
Because it's a story as old as time itself, perhaps even older
It is, in fact, timeless.
A story of desire, passion and two souls becoming one
The girl with hair like stardust,
and the girl with the spirit of the forest in her eyes.

They can be found in lovers and soulmates alike,
for they live in each and every one of us.
This way the story never dies for it cannot;
there is no force that could separate such a love shared.
It will outlast even time.
This was written with a 'couple' from the television show The 100 in mind.

He traced her skin and kissed her neck
It was a perfect love story
He held her hands and smiled at her
As if it was a perfect love story
He marked her skin and held her tight
It seemed like a perfect love story
But words deceive and soon you'll see that It wasn't a perfect love story
He held her captive in his room
It wasn't a perfect love story
He forced himself on her skin
It wasn't a perfect love story
He said it was fine but it never was
It wasn't a perfect love story
And he took a piece of her every time
It wasn't a perfect love story
The pain he caused never stopped
It wasn't a perfect love story
And it felt as if she was stuck
It wasn't a perfect love story
Stuck with a demon in her house
It wasn't a perfect love story
It wasn't a perfect love story
It wasn't a perfect love story
It wasn't love at all
