A Embers Jul 2016
Angry words linger
Lightly along the wafting smoke
Of cigarette puffs
Inhaled and absorb
Staining memory as lung.
A Embers Nov 2017
Depicting a beauty ethereal
I’ve become your sun
In the morning
And the moon
Of your night
I’ve caught you
Spellbound
And hypnotized
By every lie
Knotted in every line.
You reach for me
Clinging to the caress
Of the cadence
I have penned
The unspoken depths
Reeling blissfully
Among this fabricated fancy
Finally, I’ve caught you
Yet not before long
I too am enthralled
Longing for your trusting gaze.
A Embers Dec 2016
In the dead of night
My fingers become my voice
And the ink of my heart is drenched with words I have never said
Stories I have never read
And emotions I have never shared.
A Embers Jun 2016
I love the way you bleed,
From passion filled scars
Tempered with character
Dripping of joy and pain
Dripping of purity.
Your crimson ink
First of scraggly hieroglyphics
Meaningless on their own
Takes the form of words
Thriving; prosperous.
A transfusion begins
Seeping between my creases
Binding forever with my being.
A Embers May 2016
The blank page…

A writers greatest friend
Or greatest enemy.
When we're all faced with the possibility
That our last piece
Will be our, last, piece.
A Embers Jun 2016
Our silhouettes danced
To heart strung ballads
Unconcerned with reality
As we mocked the dying night.
A Embers Jul 2016
Against the sea of conformity
I battle waves bent on my arts demise
The roar of the ocean
Tossing between jagged rocks
Curls into tides of social influence
Raging from every side
Crashing together in judgmental remarks
I labor the storm until my inspiration comes
Consistent in my endeavor
Watching as the blurring foam transforms
From a towering blue wonder of negativity
To gently settle, as I  wash upon the shores
Of my unscathed conviction.
A Embers Jul 2018
I called to you
Words floating
Escaping on a breath
From the confines
Of this page
Do you hear them?
Sewn between
Every confession
The symbolism
These characters represent
A paltry melody
I mustered
Between sonnets
And speechless utterance
Do you hear it?
Your name
Drifted from this verse
Echoing down the canal
Of your hollow heart
Rooting within
Every fiber of your being
Halting the advance
Of the darkness
To bring you back to life.
A Embers Nov 2017
Infinite infinities
Folding unto themselves
Into a single entity
Coupling timeless existence
Then explodes into
Countless moments
Herald across the
Universe
A supernova happenstance
Wished on by the romantics
And the hopefuls
And ablaze with
The declaration of love.
A Embers Jul 2016
Layered ripples
Of nomadic shades
Drifting across the sky
Stirs daydreams.
Vivid thoughts of you
Create tangible imaginings
Of my hands upon your face
Caressing your cheeks
Trailing fingertips
Between mounds erupting on your skin
You shiver at the pleasures of my touch
Smiling at me in satisfaction
With the ease of dawn,
Reaching corners
With brighten sunrays,
Beaming in my direction.
I've longed to be held
In the embrace of your gaze
Seen only by you
When the world surrenders existence
Remaining yours in this instance
Until layered ripples
Turn from white to grey
And memories of tomorrow
Wash away.
A Embers May 2016
There are infinite forevers
in your eyes
shimmering granulated particles
dance with
swirling emotions
beeming infinite I love yous
transcendent
of words still unsaid.
A Embers May 2016
Surreal
Stripped of all I am
Trapped and confined
My only possession is time
Consciously, creeping away
Anticipating an impending consequence
As it bares fruition to... judgment
Blooming swift and unbiased.
Surrendering to ruminate
I deliberate
What is freedom?
The ability to exercise liberty
Exemption from external control
My mind travels beyond these walls
Without bounds
Without bonds
Desperate
Eager to escape
Away from the bland taste of this reality.
Swept by the winds beneath me
Relative lightness;
Buoyancy
As my eyes sweep to the horizon
Tasting the air
Savoring the new appreciation
Of all I took for granted
Is this how freedom feels?

What a day for a daydream.
A Embers Jul 2016
My poetry,
is selfish
The dead
never stay dead
Twisting in their grave
No peace for rest
As I sprawl them ungracefully
Across my page
Dragging them from depths unknown
To live once more
Amongst my words.
A Embers Dec 2016
Patiently at my journey's end
Basking under the morning sun
She waits
Caressed by soft light
Shimmering to the melody
Of my arrivals song
I rush to her
Swift and bold
With hastened breath
As I break
From rhythm and time
Crashing at her feet
As I wash upon her shores.
A Embers Jun 2016
False faces
Bound in heresy
Of sinister misread intent
Judge behind jovial masks.
In tones of whisper
Cloaked by darkness,
Shadowy figures
Gather in corners
Conspire and wager.
Terror in the betrayal
Of venomous words
Dripping on your name
Stumbling from lips.
Days are dark
And comrades are few.

Trust no one.
A Embers May 2016
Your ghostly presence dwells in every corner
Of this house
Sauntering pass
Screeching my name
As pearl like eyes stare through me
Whispering eerie confessions
From starved lips
Claiming, I, am yours
Yet your hollow words wither and fall
Scattered amongst the ashes
Of all we used to be.
A Embers Aug 2017
Deceived by the beauty
Of kisses stolen
Between the sheets
In the shadow
Of the sunset
I spilled my guilt
To bathe in her lust,
Each muted expression
Of a truth unspoken
Felt beneath the skin
Of a fleeting affair
Where the winter remained.
