Traveler
I follow not
the rainbows end
the *** of gold
that wares men thin
such are the riches
that turn to stone
loss of reasons
lazy prone
and so I strive
to remain unknown!

Traveler
is not my real name
in the poetry world
I shall never know fame
few will listen
Fewer will read
the need to be heard
is but a social disease

I write for an outlet
for these words in my head
I can never abandon
my lover in red
easing my burdens
massaging my soul
life is but a dream
then we wake up and go!

Looking for
the words
and meaning…

To fill the void,

that feels like
lost breath.

"infinity and beyond"

I see it.
The light.

claim it as theirs
soon to realise they have built on sand.

Seeking the answers
By questions raised within
A true master doesn't find answers
He simply looses the questions

Search for answers
Not where words are spoken
In Silence lies the solution
Knowledge gained without a word spoken

Angry at another
Hurting none but your inner
Drinking poison hoping
The other person will cease living

Path with problems
Nothing to be concerned
Obstacles obstructing notion
Obstacles is the path in motion

Never stop learning
Accumulation of knowledge
Let go of the learning
Living in Wisdom

Knowing is not enough
Doing it is tough
Knowing and not doing
Is the same as not knowing

A candle can light
Many other candles
Its life not shortened
By sharing the light

See it as it is
Observe it the same
Let go without any blame
Light life's flame

There's nothing now
There's nothing to know
To know there is nothing
Takes the longest time within

Family y'know feels nice
I know this is what life
Has led up to or culminated in
A suspense thriller, a job, an income

I have let go of the fast life
Drugs, liquor, and cigarettes
And exchanged it for a slow poison
A beauty in bed, two children, groceries that last a week

Three pounds of butter in the fridge
I have kept in there, so that she burns
It slowly on the stove
Covering my pancakes with it

I feel good, I haven't felt this way
The cars, trucks, and rickshaws move
All pass my way and the stares of the nearby folk
Mix with the bedlam, I can see a lovely lady's heavy gait

It is all clear to me
That I am married to all of these things
And I cannot divorce myself from my chores
Washing dishes and cleaning the floor, a poor metaphor I know

Soon I'll go home to the countryside
Swing from a hammock in the careless breeze
Before I swing under a fan with a noose around my neck
They'll say, he died, but what a shame.

He's no man if he cannot swallow the poison
Day by day
The degree of civilization in a society can be judged by entering its prisons.

I wonder what it must be like to constantly
Degrade your garden,
Neglect your garden,
Give it just enough water to survive
Yet never enough nutrition to thrive,

AND THEN

Still have the ******* audacity to blame the ******* garden
For not producing enough for you.
Clock is ticking
while time stands still
It’s time to go home
to the colorful bougainvillea.

Your inner voice is who you truly are,
Listen to it,
Trust it,
It's a reflection of your soul.

The miracle –
To see, to feel, to touch, to hear, to smell
To be
To know I’m me.

A miracle repeated centillions of times over:
From the tiniest bug to the tallest tree.
So many sentient beings
Brimming with thoughts and feelings
Powerful emotion
And boundless imagination.

Evolution is but a continuation
From some timeless beginning
That could have created time itself.

Particles still wink in and out of existence –
Endless miracles beyond our vision.
All animals are just like us,
Seeing, feeling, thinking, wondering.

We take all this for granted
Rushing about
With our petty concerns –
Seldom taking the time
To stop
And look
At the sheer wonder
That is
Now.
