The only time I write is
when
your words are like knives that leave scars.
when
your words trap me behind metal bars.
when
your words are like darkness that shrouds my view of the stars.

But as your words cloud my emotions,
I slowly lose my reason to write.
I thought what we had was forever.
Turns out everybody else was right.
*the first italicized line was from Panic! At The Disco's "This Is Gospel". I heard it again and it kinda stuck to my mind.

i could feel your eyes on me as i laughed
i looked up across the room and there you were
looking straight back
you weren't wearing your glasses
and i don't know about your contacts
so i don't know how much of me you could see
even though i've shown you more than most will ever
i'm sorry for that burden
that painful privilege
i hope you could see me today
well enough to notice my hesitation before i looked back
to the source of my cheer
you are the source of confusion
my desire has been untangling itself but i fear i'll never be free
and i'll be stuck under your gaze
while you continue to not love me
It was funny.
Until I saw you,
Then I was a little sad.
My glasses don't help me see you any clearer love.

Would you shed a tear
When I die
Because I am not there

Would you shed a tear
When I die
To show you really care

Would a stranger notice
You're sad
And ask you why you cry

Would you really take
A moment
To share the reason why

Would you share a memory
Of me
To someone else you love

Would you have a thought
about
The memories we are part of

Would you shed a tear
When I die
Because I am not there
An idea for a poem or song that has been bouncing around in my head for awhile.
You love them
With all your heart and soul
Yet, you can't be with them
But you'll never let them go...
And it hurts...
Trust me, I know...
People... Stay strong
Someone better may come along
You're thinking..
"But, they're the one I want"
I've thought this too,
Still do...
"Unrequited Love: Life's way of saying you can do better"
But, even if you never end up together
You can still be there for each other
Sometimes, love can be one sided
Don't let that divide you
If you love someone for selfish reasons
Then you love them not at all
Cause when they don't return the love,
A true love will be there to catch them when they fall
Will care, laugh and respect every wish
Will listen after every date, hit or miss
Will wipe away the tears
And brush off the knees
Stick around through the best and worst years
Be a shoulder, when they need somewhere to lean
They may never love you back
Even when you know they should
Love's not meant to be selfish
It's about doing what's right and good

The girl never believed in science.
When asked why apples fall
She answered darling, even apples fall in love.
So she baked an apple pie to make her feel grounded, rooted;
She wanted to be consumed like the sea engulfs the mountain in a storm,
Like a core is mounted by those thirsty for the taste of something left unwholly , vulnerability caressing the bitterness left by someone else's lips, traces of time browning their soft edges.

The girl used to lie outstretched on hilltops each night to watch the moon sweep away the stars each morning so the sun could still shine.
If she shut her eyes and opened her mind
She could hear the moon waning "she'll never be mine"
for the sky is a canvas of desire, a constellation of lust that looks different to every lover.
Their wish is the same regardless of the star: that gravity will soon become the real reason their hearts begin to sink each time they see her hand in another's.
every day the girl shuts her eyes to talk to the sky as if she still believes that's where God lives, as if that is where hope is, and whilst shes on her knees her lovers kiss rises amidst the heat of another girls thighs, synchronising moans as if she has finally found one to call home.
maybe she has, but now the girl can't help but think she may drown in this ocean that is empty without its pull to the crash, that her stolen heart is now her lovers buried treasure, buried so deep that shes forgotten she even had it at all.

The girl sits at the windows pane knowing why it got its name hoping she will some day navigate her way to the only star she sees, the only name she breathes.
If only leaves remembered where they fell from.
If only gravity was the reason she fell.
This was written out of my fear of losing someone. Sometimes fear is more powerful than experience,  more real than reality.

And I decided to stop running and searching for where you might be
I catch my breath instead and hold on to my knees

Finally I see you from a distance
but when I try to run again
I lose my balance

There I was on the ground
making the loudest sound
Screaming your name with the volume to the extreme
hoping you would turn around
help me to wake up from this dream

I scream so loud
my throat became raw
my lungs grasp molecules of oxygen at rapid speed

Then I embraced the silence
because as I saw you walk away from me
I realized that even the loudest of my screams
did not even register
as a mere whisper

Try hard as I might to bellow
You can only give me your shadow

"What's it like to always love,
And never be loved in return?
"
She asked me.

I told her,
"You feel like the sun, a star,
Warm in cold space,
And you can see the other stars all about you,
But you can't reach any of them.

It's like being the last kid picked for the team,
Except you're never picked;
You're a spectator, but not by choice.

You're a kitten in the 'FREE' box,
Abandoned on the side of the road.
A great idea, but not many seem
To actually want you,
Everything you get is pity.
"
Oh, hi. And stuff.
