You are a spider
I don't want to be afraid
But you're poisonous.
Red
You're the color red
Red hair, red shirt, red hands
From speaking the truth.
“Till all my sleeves are stained red / From all the truth that I've said”
You were the morning
When the sun returns with hope
Now night confuses.
You're reason denied
Right and wrong are black and white
I am the dark grey.
I liked you when you didn't swear,
When innocence was commonplace;
Maybe we're all growing up,
Lost in life's cold embrace.
Take me away from here,
I've always wanted to run away;
Show me how to fly,
I'm sure it's easier than they say.
His dark mood was calm
And with a look in his eyes
That spoke of patience.
There's words I don't say
I hold deep inside of me
But when I'm tired
They come out, unexpected
Clumsily, I turn bright red.
Tonight will be different,
I'll go to sleep soon;
Just as long as I'm not bothered
By the light of the moon.
I'm forgetting already
And that really helps
I just have to remember
You're not good for my health.
