and then I asked you,
"What's your biggest fear?"

you gave me a quivering sigh,
looked at me straight in the eyes
and said,

"It's that eventually, you will see me
the way I see myself."

Still

I still feel you in my arms.
.
Still looking at the heavens together,
With the galaxies in our eyes.
.
Still breathing in unison,
Our living souls crash like roaring seas with every inhale,
And calming them with each exhale.
.
Still whispering destinies in your ear,
Feeling your hold around me tighten with hopefulness.
.
Still together in what felt like fate,
The moment that was forever.
.
Still, steady heartbeats,
Softly throbbing into each other.
.
Stillness that never ended,
And the anticipation for it to be broken,
By the sweetness of your soft, lively kiss.
.
Still,
Wishing for that night back.
.
Still.
Waiting.
.

For My Love

I write about the stars too much.

I blame you.

Eyes holding galaxies in sweet captivity.

That starstruck feeling when you look at me.

Lips that taste of constellations.

Ecstacy of cosmic proportions.

Words drawing me in like a black hole.

Your body, like a goddess swimming in stardust.

Accidental perfection parallel to the Milky Way.

Your laugh as bright as a thousand supernovas.

Heart made of stars, filling the space in my own.

I write about the stars too much.

But really, I just write about you, the best of them all.

We're all rebels WITH a cause.

We all have something that we would put above all else.

Even authority.

Let's go skate,

Wear all black,

Smoke cigarettes,

And day dream,

In the dead of night.

reverie
when i was small
my satin thighs
still stained in snow
untouched and wise

kept them closed
tucked in and nice
like a good girl would
with flustered eyes

somehow, i
still had to wonder
what it felt like
made me shudder

utter
stutters
hunters, youngsters

thrusting
lusting
rough and tight
busting
something
day and night

growing older
i dimmed the lights
on mattresses rusting
in hotel room nights

these days my story
isn’t quiet and right
filled with mourns
and shorts
pulled down ever so slight

these days i wander
in alleys and arms
of men and monsters
oh,
but believe me
they got their charms

Low flyers

Matthew
The sky is busy tonight
Flashers and low flyers abound
Moving around
Their touch and go dance
Someone's trying to say something
And I'm not any closer today
To understanding them
As I was when all this began
But what a beautiful thing
They've chosen to share

With nature, comes beauty
That many would seek,
Of bears and lions
And amber trees,

Of streams so shallow
Where ants could swim,
They dance on pebbles,
Joined limb to limb.

And once in a while,
A Nightingale sings
On an oak tree so high
Where angels could live.

The secrets of nature
That one would seek,
The beauty, the love
That lies within.
I live in a city so whenever my family travels, I always love looking at the forests outside. (I never saw a bear or lion or a Nightingale but I know they're there)
