I looked at the world around me,
I could see the future clearly,
So perfectly laid out.
I would be successful,

I knew I had to jump,

So I picked the deepest ocean I could find,
And I dove in

Drowning and clawing towards the sky

I had never felt more alone.

from the way you look at me
like dreams can come true
I know you fell immediately

the only thing
i will never understand
is why you opened me up
molded me to fit you
so perfectly,
only to then
walk away silently
like a spectre in the night
leaving me with nothing
but bruises
and my own sanity to doubt.
