Anna
It’s as if the room is in shock
Filled with minds that spoke
and pipe dream feelings
I’d rather be in the dark than expecting and needing
I’ll say I love you today
And I’ll miss you tomorrow
But bring your words back to your lips,
chew, and swallow.

Anna
I left my heart
Where I left your letter
In the pocket
Of my sweater
I left my heart
Where I left my head
In the corner
Under your bed

****.

Anna
my heart beats fast & my hands shake
i should have stayed at home today
i try to escape my own mind
tug at my clothes & count the time
i can't sit still but i can't move
my mascara runs more than i do

I have something good.
I have something to lose.
I'm afraid to put it into words.
If it crumbles, I'll reread the words
over
and over
and over again.

I can't touch you out of fear
I've been in this painful position before
And my already broken heart
Was partly why he walked out the door
I'm so sorry...
Be patient, please...
...It hurts me so much to be this paralyzed...

Sunday morning
Let the Hallelujahs
Come
And let my
Grandma
Tell me
Im a sinner
And im lost
As if
I
Dont
Already
Know
Wipe me away.
Come into my field of dandelions and blow your great wind.
Shake my earth and tear down my buildings.
It does not matter, I relish the thought
To build once more, anew and learn'ed.
To build with you, a life of wonder return'ed.
I opened my eyes
And looked up at the rain,
And it dripped in my head
And flowed into my brain,
And all that I hear as I lie in my bed
Is the slishity-slosh of the rain in my head.

I step very softly,
I walk very slow,
I can't do a handstand--
I might overflow,
So pardon the wild crazy thing I just said--
I'm just not the same since there's rain in my head.

Haydn Swan
I belong to another,
one who cannot be mentioned,
her name blows through the highest of roof tops and tallest of trees,
she whispers soft delights that resonate through my soul,
healing my wounds, making me whole,
her radiance brings the gladdest of tidings to this weary heart.
