When I was a boy I seen 'em on the streets,
At the clubs, street-corners, places where they'd meet,
Had new shoes....clothes and watches,
Rolls of hundred dollar bills fillin' up they pockets.

Hunna-hunna bills,
Hunter huntin' bills,
Hunna-hunna bills,
Hunting huntin' bills,

Some folks think drug dealing's a game,
And cutting deals, slingin' merck is how you make a claim.
But it 'ain't-never-been-like-that' from the first day...
Mack-grind, tek nine's about gettin' paid!

Hunna-hunna bills,
Hunter huntin' bills,
Hunna-hunna bills,
Hunting huntin' bills,

Loaded-up and cocked, no fear, no doubt,
On a mack-grind and we headed out,
...out to get some bills, hunna-hunna bills,
Yeah we headed out,
...out to get some bills, hunna-hunna bills,
Yeah we headed out,

Hunna-hunna bills,
Hunter huntin' bills,
Hunna-hunna bills,
Hunting huntin' bills,

Crew, mack-grind and we out the door,
Whip-ride, lead-foot petal to the floor,
Guess what? Your crib is where we go...
And son you know, we ain't knockin' on the door.

Hunna-hunna bills,
Hunter huntin' bills,
Hunna-hunna bills,
Hunting huntin' bills,

Hunna-hunna bills,
Bangers out to ****,
Hunna-hunna bills,
Hunting huntin' bills,

Bangers here to ****...over hundred dollar bills.

I throw my gun in the back of my truck
With it I hope to **** a 12-point buck
While in the woods, BANG! I see the deer fall
I take him home, freeze the meat, and mount his horns on my wall

I grab my pole and tackle box and head to the lake
At this time in the morning, I feel barely awake
There is no school today, I’m glad there is no class
A mighty tug on my line, I hook a large mouth bass

There is nothing like hunting; waiting for the ****
Cutting and cleaning the meat my freezer I’ll soon fill
Deer steaks and deer jerky have such a great taste
And with his head on my wall nothing goes to waste

I like fishing, fishing is fun
Fishing underneath the rising sun
I like catching the fish and putting them in a net
Fish is a great dish when the table is set

My truck is unstoppable; it can’t beat
I slam the door and strap myself in the seat
I start the engine and press the gas to the floor
My truck takes off and my engine lets out a roar

I wouldn’t be able to hunt or fish if it wasn’t for my truck
With it I carry poles, guns, and my fallen buck
I pull my boat with my truck in four-wheel-drive
At my destination I always arrive

Goin' grave-diggin',

It's three to three,

Honest,

that meaningless word left dangling before children,

a damoclean sword held fast in a gordian knot tied with scarlet thread,

finer than the spider's that once tied men's souls to an angry American God,

birthed in Transylvania,

over the woods, and through the dale, no lie

There is a tale of lies told in Nobel houses, never reachin' ground,

Down here, we situations manifested to, vain, again, stem the tide,

We flounder, fish out of water, why are we sent if

wait

he hears, he listens, haps he knows, and

how such as we came

to be here,

Welcome and see, dare ye ask me in? Might I ply you with lies

and you, believe 'em?

I could make a mindless robot out of your parts, but

that would take forever and

that's not how

Wisdom's child would tend to be, for first,

You must believe a lie and I, amusing as can be,

can't tell lies.

Discernment, fine points, per-spicacity per se, the only way.

Good luck (Luc, said luck in many tongues, is said Lose- as in Luc-ifer.

It means light, as in light, regular old granted light.)

Lightifier, good, take some, good light, for the travail, in the night.

You see, not so long ago, for me, five years before I'as born,

my momma moved to town.

What was that like, I axed my old uncle, while back,

movin' t'town, in 1943?

Well, he says,

We had electricity.

USA, 1943, some folks still was poor, and all the good men

was gone to war.

Cities, it was different,

if the movies got it right, Bowry Boys, n'em.

In the desert we did, okeh, in town, though,

we had electricity.

He was ten back then. He'd been huntin' rabbit's,

to buy Christmas presents from Sears and Roebucks,

since he was five.

C'mon, I say. No lie, he say,

BLM or some gover'ment

whatsajigger, was payin' 2 cents a pair fer jack rabbit ears.

'Said he bought Christmas presents for his mom and dad,

and my mom, with his first rabbit money, at five.

Shootin' with a single-shot 22, 12 cents a box,

Jack Rabbits, 2 cents a head.

Three Christmas presents, plus postage, $2.56.

Do the math, I think, and go -

Five years old, at ten, he moves to town, 1943,

we had electricity. That's all.
An older man than me gave a thought to ponder. Thought I'd try to share the bounty. This is read, by me at http://anchor.fm/ken-pepiton

America, rollin’ its dice,
hurlin’ ‘nades on the ice.
what're we lookin’ for?
who’re we huntin’ for?
whether it’s a score to settle
or another lie to peddle
where do we go from here?
how ‘bout that future we held dear?
gone, done, buried, shunned.
eat crow, *****, retch, and—
run?
don’t run. can’t run.
these colors don’t run, I’ve heard.
though maybe they flow against
each other like water and
oil in a grating chemical fash-
ion that can’t be calculated
or be sufficiently integrated
like we dreamed they would.
and dream we do, for America
and her future, or so I hope,
given that each year that passes
leaves bruises and gashes
in that fabric, so fragile, I hear.
sad, wrong, and crooked;
Trump’s America.
Edit (11/30/16): I want to be clear that I oppose everything Trump stands for. This man is a threat to democracy. This poem was my reaction to the election, and the lies he sold to his supporters.

I was 'bout a haf mile down Shadow Holler, lookin' for my dog Jack.  I rounded the bend long the river and thar he sat just lookin' up at the moon that was back dropped behind him.  I was so entranced I stood stockstill in the chill evening air.  He raised his head and let out with that beautiful soulful baying only a huntin' dog can make.
Then he took off tearing through the woods like his tail was on fire.

Well, I commenced chasin' ol' Jack down, but I swear evra tree in that holler was out to get me.
My clothes, they was ripped up and my feet were on fire from being torn by briars and such.
I finally, upped and caught up to Jack.  He was pacing the bottom of a Sycamore that was glowing white in the moonlight.  I heard some cacklin' up in that tree and I looked up to see a sight that I nev'r saw afore.  They was a **** up in there just grinnin' down at Jack like he was playing with him.  Now Jack was in a right tizzy over that ****.  He leaped up the side of the tree as high as he could, barking treed as though his life depended on it.  That **** was doing a bit of glowing in the moonlight itself.  I'd never seen a Cinnamon colored **** before, but thar 'e was, bigger 'an life.  And while it was grinnin' it was busy collecting some twigs.  Next thing ya know it was chattering to beat the band and throwin' sticks at ol' Jack.  Well, I can tell you, Jack didn't appreciate the humor in this sitcheation.  He backed up and made a leap so high I thought shore he was gonna take flight, but he got nothin' for his trouble but a whack in the head as he collided with a big ol' twig thrown by that ****.

Thinkin' that Jack had had about enuf I tried coaxing him home, but he was havin' nothing to do with it.  So, I told Jack I was heading home and he could come if he had a mind to, but I wasn't staying out in the woods all night while he made an *** of himself over a **** that was makin' fun of him.  I started off and then heard a loud yelp.  All of a sudden Jack came blastin' past me, and not far behind was that old Cinnamon **** giving it all he was worth.  Well, as he was headin' towards home I followed along.  Just at the mouth of Shadow Holler, and not to fer from home I found ol' Jack.  He was up a low slung tree whimperin' like a puppy.  That **** was pacing the trunk, back ****** up, teeth bared and laughin' out the side of its mouth.  As I walked up on this pathetic scene, ol' Jack took one look at me and started crying fer help.  Well, I took pity on the poor fella and walked up on that **** with a right big stick.  And right afore my eyes it just faded into nothin'.  Scared the bejeebers outta me!

Took me an hour to coax ol' Jack outta that tree.  And then I couldn't keep up with him once he headed towards our cabin.  At home I told Pa all about our lil adventure, and he bout whooped me fer even goin' into Shadow Holler.  He said, "Son, I tole you to stay outta that holla.  They's ghosts and spooks down in thar.  Old Lady Jalson disappeared never to be seen again until the Smith boys saw her wanderin' a trail down there.  On'y problem is they cud see through 'er.  They's all sorts of stories 'bout shadows roaming free and playin' tricks an' worse on folks."

Well I never seen my Pa so scairt as when he was tellin' me that, so now I just keep away from that holler.  And, ya know what?  I ain't never seen ol' Jack even turn in that direction since that night.  Musta learned himself somethin'.
This is what comes of visiting my family in very Southern Ohio... :) And I did actually see a taxidermied cinnamon raccoon at a person's house once.  It was kinda eerie.  Did pass a sign to Shadow Holler while I was down there too. :)

I heard a scream from the laundry room,
A shout, “Come QUICK! And bring the BROOM!”
Ran down the hall, and through the door,
“There it is!  THERE, on the floor!”
I looked down at the clay brown tile,
That’s when I saw the gecko smile.
He looked at me.  Looked in my eyes
As if to say, “Are you surprised?”
“It’s warm in here when the dryer runs
I’m just sleepin’ in the morning sun,
Wouldn’t hurt a fly (maybe that’s not true,)
But I promise, Sir, I won’t hurt you.”

Its skin was tan, like its tile bed,
“But, It’s so small,” I turned and said,
“I don’t care.  It’s in my HOUSE!
Remember when you trapped that mouse?
So here’s what I want you to do
Go buy a gecko trap or two,
And get that monster out of here,
I’m not coming back till the coast is clear.”
And she turned around and walked away
Guess I had my orders for the day.
There’s a gecko in the laundry room
And I’m standing there with a worthless broom.

The gecko stared, I stared right back,
I was making plans for a sneak attack
When all at once the gecko took a leap onto my shirt
“Sir, give up now, I beg of you, before one of us gets hurt.
Tell your wife I ran away; I think she’ll understand.
After all I’m just a gecko and you’re a big strong man.”
He jumped onto a dark green towel, then to my surprise,
He turned green and disappeared, before my very eyes!
That little guy was really quick,
And the camouflage thing was a **** good trick,
But I knew he wasn’t really gone,
I had a job to do, so the war was on.

I closed the door and chased that guy, for an hour, ‘round the room
I’d get close and swing at him with my gecko huntin’ broom
He’d stretch, and yawn, and leap away, turning colors all the while,
“Come on Sir, try harder,” he said with his ever-present smile.
I moved the washer and the dryer, the laundry basket, AND the clothes,
All the time he’s laughing, as my frustration grows.
“Excuse me, Sir, “ he said, I’m getting bored with ‘Hide and Seek’
There’s a window, over there, think I’ll just go and take a peek,
You turn around, and close your eyes and count from one to ten,
I’ll find another place to hide and we can start the game again.”
So I turned around began to count, “One, and two, and three,”
No tiny little gecko can make a fool of me.

I knew the window was cracked open, I would sweep him right outside
Then I wouldn’t care at all where the gecko chose to hide.
As I counted four, I turned around (I didn’t wait for ten)
I thought I’d get the drop on him, but I had to think again.
The gecko, on the outside, gave me a little wave
“I know what you were going to do – Sir, that wasn’t very brave.”
I saw at once what he had done,
Now there were THREE instead of one.
“Sir, I was getting tired, so I called a couple of my friends
I told them you were fun to play with, but I guess it all depends,
On whether you keep playing, or let us stay the night.
We promise when your wife comes back we’ll all stay out of sight.

I turned and wandered down the hall, and told my wife with pride,
“It’s finished, over, job well done, the gecko is outside!”
“Thank you dear,” she said and turned to Oprah on TV.
But wait, I thought, (though not out loud) till you find the other three.

Recently
it seems
every time we talk
our cacophonous
voices don't sing.

The harmony's off--
lost it's charming ring.
The tye-dye mind's eye melody
is mellowing into a gray spring.

And I'm wondering why?

But...
I think I know.
Only asked cause
I was hopin' you might hum some other musical notes,
ones that won't turn this song into a black swan dive
forced to call the huntin' dogs to track
back to a time where you and I laughed freely.

But there's this feeling
that this is how your other he must have felt
while you and me were undoing our belts--
yelling & screaming
as my parents were sleeping
upstairs above--
we played each other like saxophones
to this grand Nirvana relaxed crescendo!

But as this poem progresses
the tempo stiffens--
    your voice lessens--
as the harmony's off-key
and the melody's riff softens.
It's not hitting me hard like a gong-
feels like two people singing
different lyrics into the same microphone.
Someone with synesthesia can see
our colorful speech atrophy
instead of pirouetting in turquoise dreams.

If that sounds harsh,
sorry, that's the reality I perceive--
we don't want each other to leave,
But our avoidance of labeling
what we are also established what we weren't
and now this playful...thing? we had
feels like a breaking carafe as it hits the floor.

I want to continue writing you more poems and songs
but it's hard when the harmony's off-key
and losing it's charm.
This new lentando^ tempo's like a left arm going numb.
I want to keep composing
but it feels like water
instead of kerosine pouring
on the fire that was inspiring
as this mournful melody dilates throughout my being.
^gradually slowing

Don't judge this based on content. I mainly wrote this because of the rhythm and here is the result.

We broke up, and you found somebody new.
She's beautiful, she has everything that I've ever wanted... you.
She is pretty and smart. But she doesn't go fishing
she doesn't go muddin'
she doesn't go camping,
she doesn't go huntin'
but you had to have her so don't come crawling back
you wanted her well now you got her.
You're stuck with the little preppy princess sorry.
I'm not taking you back.

Ach, a delicah constitution, have I

me auld bones are getting wearier

if somebody sneezes I have a cowld

its getting worser the more I get older

I can’t get a dacent man

but I’m looking as hard as I can

I’ve got a little piece of land

so for a dowry he’d be grand

See, since I buried my first two

it’s not easy to get a beau

and these day’s I’m not such a pretty view

I can be a bit contrary

and my moods oft vary

but unlike my sister Mary

I haven’t got a tash long and hairy

I don’t need any of that *** stuff

I can tell ya that for nuttin

Its help around the farm I’m huntin

I can make a dacent cup-o-tay

and I’m handy at baling the hay

so if your up for a bit of honest toil

and your humour don’t make me blood boil

Come marry Teresa Rafter

Refrain:
He your pappy, but he dead now
Won't mess with yer head no more
No more.

Cos he dead now, he dead now
He dead now.

1.
Looking in this window. See 'em all warm inside.
Cold wind, him bitin' at my ankles.
Just look at 'em inside, all warm and cosy.

CHORUS:
Maybe gotta look inside
Won't get nothing on the outside
Yeah, gotta look inside
For a little bit o' lurve!

Never gonna turn your back on life.
Gotta take this shot of live
Gotta warm me up inside
'Fore the cold comes to claim me.

Gotta close all lonely spaces
With a little bit of love
So, I's gotta take a look inside.

2.
Don't mean to feel so mean. Just wanna feel part of something
(So) strange, with all 'em polar caps a-meltin',
We still don't have enough love!

3.
Looky here, now traipsin' down this ***** street
Seeking all along the edge of night
Huntin' warmth, hikin' smiles, hawkin' love and sellin' souls
What the hell are we doin' here?

4.
No, you don't always feel it
But there's a stink wind blowing out there
Suckin' at my poor soul, stealin' all my warmth
Yeah, (s)uckin' up my poor soul, takin' all our love!

Repeat refrain.

You sit up there in all your grace. You sit an’ stare an’ call the pace,
A beat that breaks the strongest mind. It never wanes, it never dies,
Your constant callin’ of demands, our mighty fall to greater hands,
A name that shakes the boldest man - he knows his place, he knows your plan.

You come to call when I’m alone, a figure tall, a face of stone,
You come so near I meet your glare, an’ soaked in fear I watch you stare,
You hold the blade with which you carve your endless name into my heart,
The Lord himself of all things cruel, who’ll tear the wealth from every fool.

You slowly stalk ‘til I find sleep, then with me walk through fathoms deep,
I’m losin’ form, an’ drift alone. The engine’s warm but there’s no road,
You bare the deeds dealt by my hands, apologies but words in sand,
So to and fro ‘til sense is gone - an’ I don’t know what side I’m on.

You’re huntin’ me. I feel your eyes. You’re under me, above the skies,
“I know I’m good”, I scream I’m sure, you throw your hood to show me more,
In my minds eye you sow the seeds. Our bloodstained skies, my dreadful deeds,
Then say I’m bound by cosmic chains to dance around a song of flame.

Resist, and stay restrained.
Oppose, and still ordained.
Forage, and find no friend.
Confess, and stay condemned.

I sweat so hard I nearly drown, an’ pray to gods I’ve never found,
In desperate bids to change the views, of those who sit in higher rooms.
Your prison walls come closin’ fast, redemption calls but can’t be grasped.
Who knows I’m less than I would tell? Who knows me best if not myself?

You draw the line but take no strain. You have us climb through endless change,
You need no mind an’ take no form, you spiral bind of days unborn.
The only course where all is set, the only force to cause effect,
You smash the speech of every tongue, your lashings reach our children’s young.

You’re sweeping past by sleight of hand, or fallin’ fast as silken sand,
We’ve made to measure what we can’t hold. Our greatest treasure sits unsold.
One guilty glare to rule this race - and everywhere I see your face,
Bring all we’ve known, hold all we crave. Both cause of woe an’ cure of pain.

My mind ablaze. My heavy heart. My unsaid name an’ unseen part,
I sit an’ wait, as you have done. At last your reign sets like the sun.
Your brutal bite’ll bare no hiss. Your stealthy strike not fail to miss,
From crib to coffin, sponge to sack. Pull no one nothin’ from your hat.

Intend, you won’t aspire,
Defend - from smoke with fire,
Convince, yourself you’ve changed,
Within’, it’s still the same.

So my hasty conductor - of each and all seasons - go tell how we fall at your task.
So my greatest instructor - reaped of all reason - come call on the all things you ask.
So Lord of all choices - of future and past - if a man raised his voice would you hear his soul ask,
For the granting of guidance - to do what he must - to fill your alignment from cradle to dust?

I gone fishin', ma Cheri
I built us a house on Blues Bayou
And set it on batons
To keep out the water
And Mister Raton

But the bayou gets bluer
As new days come to view, Cher
It was me, you once adored,
Hugged and cherished
Me, you've lately ignored

I thought real hard 'bout it
Decided it weren't worth it
To go huntin' for squirrel
So today I just go fishin'
See a vision of my next expedition

Ignorin' the light is impossible
Forever; you're bound to notice
Especially when it's not there
Even a flickerin' candle furnish
Enough light to see, I no longer care

So I step out the back door
Feel the rush of my fall
Into Blues Bayou for a quick swim
I'll dry out soon in my boat,
Find Mister Raton and trick him
Yo i know this track was already blessed
So i guess i sit back n roll aome sess

Sleet or snow sun up to sun down
Look around
I see a bunch of zombies walkin' around
They say im a braille guy
But i say **** the world n put me ******* the sky ask the afather why?
He put me on this land for bloodshed
All i have is bad memories
Most of my homies in the cemeteries
N soldiers aint never scared
Death glares
Still peepin' over my shoulder used the boulder
To break down the madness surround my brain
Beckon my enemies to the eternal flame
Now ya weapin' gnashin' teeth
Feelin' much painnnnnn!!!!

Even though i was
Built for the war zone
I got gloves n b-proof vest on
Ready to **** in the name of my own will
**** Capitol Hill and the imperial
My intellect is satirical a miracle
Is what they'll say when break them down
At there knees they'll  automatically pray
To the celestrials for guidance
But the violence could no longer silence
The society we ready to break the chains
Of mental slavery
Im full of bravery on a one man mission
Its time  to rid the judicial system
******' hyporcites suckin the devils ****
N still aint gettin' no where
I stop n stare
Look at the sun dont make a change
Same **** every day same ol same
Scrathed the old tune now im.onal a tune
N soon ill be huntin' these cowards
Like Daniel Boone
Gotta give it up to all my freedom fighters
N truth writers
Not even the trolls can deny us trust
My finger will stay in the trigger watch me bust
I see washington clutchin' stomach
Cant mock a man in the image of god
I know im against all odds
But going to get even steven
Took a piece of leven for my holy grail
This **** never fails as the ship sails
Imma continue to rock the boat
Until it goes overboard
I know ya thinkin' im insane
But im goin' to drown all my enemies
With much pangggg

uh ya feel mee

He creeps around lookin'.
He upon a hunt just huntin'
Hopin' to find that love type fool.
Guess what?
He usually do.

He has a child here.
He has a child there.
In other words.
He have had mutiple love type girls.

He's the travelin' man.

The women seems to fight over expenses.
When they were in charge of him gettin' in their britches
Sure he lied and apologized.
But , he probably have done that mutiple times.

Remember, he's the travelin' man.

He's a charmer.
Probably learned this skill of using from his mother.
Women refuses to admit the truth.
That somewhere in your life you were a user too.

And all he has done was used the game of using too.

Many kids.
Many women.
Some foolish enough to take him back.
And this is while he still visiting others on the side.

After all.
He's the travelin' man.
And most travelers are love visitors.

As long as women open the door.
This travelin' many will come back for more.

Back in the day before the game quit us,
We’d balled down at the rec center with an old guy
Who went by the name of Terry Easy.
He was there every afternoon, every night
(As far as we knew, he’d been there forever,
The joke being Hell, man, Easy was there
Three minutes after they got the floor down.
)
Big old dude, but you could tell from the way he moved,
Even the way he walked, that he had game at one time,
Though he’d gotten to the wrong side of the transition
From solid to just plain fat
(We’d woof at him Easy, you get any more flab on your *******
And we’re gonna have to go from shirts-and-skins
To bras-and-blouses, for chrissakes.
)
And he played with coke-bottle glasses so thick
You figured he couldn’t hit the backboard from outside three feet.
Still, if you didn’t pick the man up a few steps across half-court,
He’d bury you with set shots --‘course, if you played him too tight
He’d just back-door your *** for layups all night
(As far as playing D went, Easy was pretty easy pickings,
Though he’d try to make up for a lack of foot speed
With old man tricks--locking his knee behind yours
To push you off the blocks, a quick grab of the shorts
As you cut through the lane, stuff that starts fights,
Though taking a shot at Easy was just something you didn’t do
Something unspoken that you just knew was out of bounds.)
Between games, Easy would tell stories about his playground days:
He’d played on all the courts with all the legends,
16th and Susquehanna with Lewis Lloyd and Sad-Eyes Watson,
48th and Brown with The Pearl,
Ridgeway Playground with Wilt and Hal Greer.
One day Easy was telling a story about how Greer,
Playing out the string with a Sixers team
That won nine **** games all season,
Was playing against Wilt one night when the Lakers were in town.
Hal went down the lane, and Wilt was right there,
Getting ready to swat the pill…hell, eight, nine rows up,
Maybe halfway to Doylestown, but at the last moment
He pulled his hand back, and let the ball tap, tap, tap on the rim
Before it dropped through for two
(For old times’ sake, Wilt said later.)
Hal didn’t see it that way, giving Wilt a shove and glaring at him
All the way back down court, and after the game
He stormed into the Laker locker room,
Screaming Where the **** is Wilt? I’m gonna beat his ***!
And, catching sight of the big man, hollered ever louder
You play it straight with me, *******, you hear me?
You never disrespect my *** on the court again! Never!

All the time two or three guys holding Hal back
(And understand, Wilt was the biggest, baddest man in the game;
Hell, one time he picked up Mel Daniels,
Six-feet-nine of evil and bad temper, like a Raggedy Andy)
And the big man never said a word, ‘cause he knew was wrong,
So Terry told the story, anyway,
And Easy should have stopped right there,
‘Cause the story was over, but old men get foolish, get all soppy,
So he says Hal was right, understand-;
You just can’t do that to a man.
Old player like Greer, maybe all he’s got left is his pride,
Like some old lion who can’t hunt no more, but he’s earned that.
Gotta let a lion have his pride
, and after he finished
All the young ‘uns just hooted at him
Man, Easy, you do go on, and for months afterward
Every time the dude covering him turned his head
And gave Easy an easy bucket, everyone on the court
Would just laugh, and yell That’s good huntin’, man.
Roar, lion, roar
.

This psychosis is flaring up again, most notably with the upper hand
Time after time and once again I find no rhyme or reason
That thought process, seemingly by design, is unfathomably barren
Scared of the transformation I know has already left the station
That's it there, right over yonder, comin' 'round the bend
Resistance is futile, it's a lesson in repetition to keep runnin' with no traction
No huntin' license needed for this "only fools rush in" expedition
The lethal weapon method preferred over the non-lethal stun gun option
As I set up and execute my own personal character assassination
And blame it on what's always been a continuous open season on who I am as a person
Stating it was the residents in my cranium livin' rent free from conception
Leaving out the moment I stepped in and fast forwarded this ****** Doo-Benny Hill situation to the end
You can still see the evidence of the all out mutiny and treason from within
Venomous hospitality, venomous quips, blue lips the reaction to the poison
The exact one found on the jagged edge of the rusty iron driven into broken skin
Just an oh to familiar back stabbing incident, another rerun
A web can be spun but I'm the only common thread...

Hey, it's the stone age; living's our job.
We're always busy, no spare time to rob.
I'm huntin' and daddin', you're farmin' and mommin';
don't need no stinking interests in common.
The Broken Poet Jun 2015
Sometimes you just need to learn when to walk away
And quit following their sick play
When nothing is going right
Set it straight
This is your life darlin'
This is your way of livin'
And if you ain't happy
Then all you'll ever feel like is ******
If someone hurts you
And they got you feeling blue
Just know that it's okay to leave them
Your smile is a loss gem
That you deserve to have back
So just grow a jack
And do what's best for you Darlin'
If you ain't smilin'
Then walk away from whoever is hurting that smile
Grab your rifle
And Darlin'
Let's go huntin'.

Drive down the dirt road
In my lifted grey truck
I steady my shot gun
and aim for that duck
big pond on my left
and a field on my right
black eye a bit sore
from my big fight last night
pullin the trigger
I laugh at my luck
as down she falls
that beautiful duck
Pirate the dog
jumps out of the back
he's off like a shot
put my gun on the rack
duck in his mouth
he comes back with joy
and I pat his head
cuz he's such a good boy
back in the truck
and we ramble on
there's no tellin' at all
how long we'll be gone...
Fools blowin' alot of hot air  like I ******' care
About all that yappin' and flappin' guns is clappin' cappin' the back
Ya dome like a fitted hat no imaginery stats
Million dinero racks don of the coldest macks
Girls ***** I smack Iceberg with the words the verbal
swords
Slash Mics with no chord the rap lord most largely
ignored
Never bored draws crowds on the tour boards
Check out the melody no petty in me haters envy
Cause the money green brings jealously
in-between know what I mean addicted fiends
Come back as pains siblings i'm dribblin'
Through the industry like Cousy so you'll loose me
On the stage of my courts blazin' a Newport
takin' no shorts shatterin'
forts
With the lyrical battering rams Sam I am
No green eggs and ham gives a ****
About the haters frontin' and stuntin'
Im huntin' ya every moves with Krueger's grooves
So you'll sleep tight night night it's **** tight
Every where I don't care sound the snare
From the rhythms of R'Za at the Apex of Giza
Pyramids uncrowned kid got y'all careers hid
From the auctioned out bid see me smash gigs
Redden wigs like Peg Bundy y'all can't touch me
Branded by mic at birth knew my golden worth
Star child saw my soul running a mile
The unorthodox style insane as Gomer Pyle the black
Owl
Usin' Night snipin'
tactics makin' bodies throw fit yo you too old for it
my gun range ain't got no age limit no ****?
It's a no brainier cash strangler jaw re-arranger
My militant killaz will stain ya a graphic painter
Wont do ya much good
if you come round the neck of my woods filled with
dogwoods
time for the revolution
I can hear the pistol shootin'
and my whole hood lootin'
taking back our props and land stocks
no tick tocks
cuz we pause the clock
death the grim reaper waits for no one
so I'm battlin' in war zone
until I'm gone
yeah fools stuck in a stare
looking for where
I Is but I ain't there
ghost as Casper taking all enemies captive
this ain't no *******
once my rounds spit
multiple wombs
suckas end up in the icu rooms filled with gloom
judgement day here cuz of yosef
bringing doom
hurry hurry come on come all
to meet yo downfall
I'm tryna rise like Robert Williams
gun to the nation
I ain't hesitating
fist to my black and brown facin'
the troubled times
don't let them corrupt yo mind
grind til the early sunshine
another ****** planned successfully
to government officials we bully
rob em with the masked skully
makin' graveyards
where the rest is six feet deep
peep my scenery
when my guns go
well make you snore in yo sleep
ya should have thought it before the reap as I creep  huntin' these beats
I burn roses for every year
my folks ain't here
my ancestors are my real protectors
universal with my tactics
I don't matter I'll **** em up
with my lyrical prophylactics
since they asked for it
like an axe I split
fools into puzzle pieces feel me?
the realer the better never chasin' fo cheddar
suckers kno better
bringin' cold vengeance
so go get a sweater down with homies and homettes
we all bad
shout out to the real activist
undercover killaz cuz we be the ***** comradz

Made a soldier
Since I came out the womb
And then all of a  sudden a  boom
panic the whole rooms
Team with triple beams
Ready to stash cream
None can intervene
Once I hit the scene
Fools get headless with my guillotine
Lyrics eyes I see fear in it
Pupil dilated
cuz you feel the madness I created
Heavily hated and death appreciate it
Cold body in a casket
No matter how tense
The war get
we undefeated
Immortal flows so ya know
We bringin' mo'
Pain along with reign
Gotta few scars
But it stop me from being a star
Look afar
Its my comrades actin' bad
Flawless and reckless
Checkin' fools off the ****** list
Make ya Ready to Die
Like Christopher Wallace
Gathering lost souls in the palace
Shadow of death til my last breath
I'll be givin' my honor
Totin' marijuana
With My homies on the block
Even got a few killas
From Tijuana
Mexico they down for the ****** mo
So slow yo role
When you approach the real mellow
Styles of a problem child
Stuck in the wild
Never see me smile
Frowns only playin' stations
Like Sony
That means my troops grounded
So prepare when I unleash
The demons chained on me
They wanna break freely
But it dont happen
Unless I plan it
Enemies can't stand it
That's why they all panic
When the see menace
Roamin' out in the streets
We mobbin' like Lucky Luciano
You know we don't play
At death row yeahhh

Turns out I shoulda said lo, "shamrock" hence
Was it?  Aw, dearest me, how that detail
Called "leprechauns" had far more 'ppeal; and stale
As donning green to match me ein's green sense
Of hazel, la dee dah! the Duchess thence
Defined all in a darker pine tone's scale
'Til guess I lose for all I've Irish.  They'll
Not even care twas Barry's Tea fr'intents.
And I wore purple too, and blue, as poor
From thereon out that I donned green's fine hue.
O laugh at me!  I wanted violets too--
Tae go a huntin' fer them damsels we're
Sae sure to miss, hid e'er in shadows.  You're
Not pinked I tried to curtsy now, are you?
