Shiv Pratap Pal Aug 2019
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This poem is self translated version of my Hindi language poem titled "शिव लीला" published in pratilipi on (June. 2018) Can be read through the link ==>> https://bit.ly/2Z9Z57t
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

His neck has entirely turned blue due to Kalkoot, This is just a Leela of Shiva
He has taken everyone's pain and sorrow for the betterment of the world

He is the keeper of all the three loka's and also called as Trilokinath
He hold the holy Ganga in his locks, but do not drinks a drop from it

He sits on the yellow Tiger skin mat and keeps meditating for years to come
He satiates hunger by Datura and Madaar and drinks Bhang to quench thirst

He has a marvellous third eye through which all the three lokas are visible
Sitting in the Mahayoga posture, He keeps on concentrating and meditating

Brahma and Vishnu also bows before him with respect and feels blessed
Such a beautiful holy Leela of Shiva.  Nothing else but Shiva's holy Leela

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Kalkoot(Line 1): A poison generated due to Samudra Manthan ( The Churning of the Ocean by Devtas[Gods] and Asuras[Demons] )
Leela(Line 1): "Divine Play" (Just a pastime)
Shiva(Line 1): A God (The Destroyer) in Hindu Mythology

Loka(Line 3): Three three different worlds/realms. Swargaloka, the land of gods; Mrityuloka, the middle kingdom of men; and Pataloka, home of the Asuras, the fallen gods, and demons.
Trilokinath(Line 3): The Lord of the Three world/realms.

Ganga (Line 4): The Holy river whose flow and speed is controlled by the locks (Jatas - The thick hair strands) of Lord Shiiva

Datura and Madaar (Line 6): Poisonous plants (Datura stramonium and Calotropis gigantean)
Bhang (Line 6): Poisonous plants (Cannabis Plant)
Mahayoga (Line 8): Also called as Mahamudra – The Great Gesture (a posture for meditating)
The World is not real its Maya. Its the Divine Play of God

when I laugh,
the whole body
one big mouth
of laughter

when I sing
words emit
like a seismo-
seismograph

If I squat, drowsy,
all my teeth are
melting down
a whirlpool

walk, look back
and wonder,
whose vanishing
footsteps
are they
meanwhile,

my as-lost-as-me
friends, frantic for
shade in the sun
and can't find it

together, like a
splash of colours,
we loll in the garden
for the madness to pass

later, at home they ask
about the blood red
eyes, I say, it was
some colour, some holi
*Bhang is a milk-based drink traditionally consumed on the day of holi, the festival of colours in India. This poem was first published in the Mar-Apr 2012 issue of the Reading Hour magazine.

Tu Chaahe, Tu Chaahe, Ya Na,
(Whether you wish or don’t,)
Main Jiyunga, Haan Main, Jiyunga.
(I will live, yes I will.)

Jeewan Ka Har Maza,
(Each fun of life,)
Main Ji Bhar Ke Lutaunga,
(I will enjoy wholly,)
Tune Diya Hai Jo Dand,
(The punishment which you have given,)
Main Karunga Ise Bhang.
(I will dismiss it.)
Tu Chaahe, Tu Chaahe, Ya Na,
(Whether you wish or don’t,)
Main Jiyunga, Haan Main, Jiyunga.
(I will live, yes I will.)

Tu Chaahe, Tu Chaahe, Ya Na,
(Whether you wish or don’t,)
Main Kab Jiyunga, Kab Main Jiyunga.
(When will I live, When will I live.)
Jeewan Mein Kya Maza,
(What fun life would be,)
Bin Tere Jo Bitaunga.
(If at all I stop believing in you.)

Woh Jeena Kya Jeena,
(Would that be a life at all,)
Har Pal ** Jab Saza!
(When each moment I spend is a punishment!)

To Tu Chhaaja, Haan Tu Chhaaja,
(So be the shade over me, yes please,)
Main Phir Jiyunga, Haan Main Jiyunga.
(I will live again, yes I will.)
Tu Chhaaja, Haan Tu Chhaaja,
(Be the shade over me, yes please,)
Phir Main Jiyunga, Haan Main, Jiyunga. (And then I’ll live again.)
The lyrics to my Tu Chaahe song

Modification to an original composition called 'Tu Aaye' by me.

I made this modification after my life threatening accident.

To Tu Chhaaja, Haan Tu Chhaaja, (So be the shade over me, yes please,)

To Tu Chhaaja, Ab Tu Chhaaja, (You spread over me, now please,)
Phir Main Jiyunga, Haan Main, Jiyunga. (And I will live again.)
I had simply modified one of my last songs composed before the life-threatening accident with a largely positive twist to make it seem more like an ode to the Almighty instead. It was also a vengeful challenge that I had taken up intending to rewrite my own destiny. So it used to give me supple relief singing, recording and listening to it again.

The title is pronounced as /tu chaahay/.
dangerous pitfalls
I call it pitfalls
Because in,people fall
Engineers, doctors and lawyers
Have fallen and covered by the layers
The poor and the rich alike
Fallen and choked by spikes

We call it recreation
Which has caused fallen creation .
***** mark to leave
In how precious we live
Pitfall of drugs
In pleasure we get in a drag
Alcohols and bhang
****** and madrax
Cigarette and ****
All were traps
My worry is how they strap
And make people their prey
I fear going astray
And make a choice to pray
Calling ***** a *****
Thus pithfalls I evade.
My drunken brothers ,poor in the wealth they posses.
The dragging power of drugs
Left them confused and in full time hungovers

Hello, sir,
Do you have a minute?
I just wanted to transfer,
A poem with no required ticket.

I miss you so much,
I don't know how i have made it for such,
a long time without you.

I been wanting to text you,
But i knew it was no use,
This time may be no different,
Maybe i am just looking for an excuse,
To text my significant,
Other.

I just wanted to say,
That I hope you stay,
Even if you are far away,
I cant give you a bhang,
but I can say I love you Woodsfang!

Nearly twenty years ago
I can't believe time flies
When all I had upon my mind
Was thoughts of getting high

I never understood my mom
Popping pills at tea
or How my grandpa polished
off a case a day, no, three

Not wanting to become insane
or Die diseased so early
I decided at a legal age
To smoke the ****, for surely

of All the places in the states
Just one said do it legally
I packed my bags and set out for
Mendocino County

I took my time, such a long ride
on 80 from New Jersey
Enjoyed the sights but, flew no kite
Still, made my travels worthy

The California National Guard
and the DEA
Set up a post to check all cars
in/out of the county

It took a couple hours then
For them to inspect me
I must admit here that this greet
Did make me feel uneasy

They made it very clear to me
That I could smoke' the ****
Just don't try to take it out
of Mendocino County

I said "Okay!"  They said "Drive Safe"
I buckled ; drove away
I drove along the two-lane road
Admittedly Amazed

I turned a corner , hit the brakes
There was in front of me
A farmer man, who did tell me
Get out, you have to learn the ****

I abided easily
to learn most all or everything
I could so one day I could be
An expert in Weedology

I spent nearly a week or two
Finding out all that I could
But, I was high and this did lead
to some info misunderstood

I learned cultivation, irrigation
debugging plants by spraying pepper
Planting, pruning, a beginner
But, after time, I did get better

Then one day after a cup
of morning Bhang, I did awake
Then moseyed on to brighter pastures
****** alone, I was quite baked

Would you believe ; I can't believe
A girl I knew from New Jersey
A ***** from Hawthorne she despised me
This feeling was so mutually

After I escaped her grip
And fed her some more bitter lip
I took my bag, it was a lid
and slowly rolled another spliff

I found a house to my amaze
It said "For Rent" read in my haze
I paid the rent/security
Pulled out a blunt, began to blaze

There was no time that I remember
From months of May through to September
That I wasn't high all day
I knew I had to move away

****, (the grass) grown everywhere
Just pick some off, feel better, there
No one left out of the haze
Everybody there did blaze

I got so bored, I was so teased
Stop it!  Stop it!  Stop it, please!
I can't be ****** all' of the time
Oh, shut up and smoke more of this ****

I could not take it anymore
I closed the house and shut the door
All the smoke I once adored
Soon became all such a bore

I packed my bags and said goodbye
To all my stoner friends still high
I headed north to Oregon
To grow tomatoes, seemed like fun

Twenty years now have been spent
Remembering those cronies
Those mendacious merchant mendicants
of Mendocino County
