How to poet a life away

Toss the trite learned

Skip grammar mostly too

Rhyme or not is all yours

Step to drummer unheard

Believe in life yet untold

Read a thousand times

More than you write

Live, so you will know

What you are talking about

Take wild leaps in mind

Without losing it too far

Write not only about love

Although that’s all there

Really is or really is not

Fall in some love also

More than simply once

With not only your words

But others in thought

Wishing to poet too

With time the distance grew.

Prepared myself for weeks.

Like ripping of a band-aid, it had to be done.

Every breath, every hit on that button felt like a stab to my heart.

I heard your laugh, saw your smile in my head for one last time.

I close my eyes and remember.

I need you to be gone.

Fully and completely.

Keeping you means losing me.

For the last time..

..Delete.

i filled my notebooks with your words,
my canvases with your spirit

you're in my soul, my heart, my being
you eternally inspire me.

you may be gone,
but i still have you.

You held her hand,
I held my pen.

You kissed her lips,
I kissed your photograph.

You loved her once,
I loved you forever.

In a window placed
For all to see,
A candle burns.
My gift to thee.

A guiding light,
A beacon in the dark,
As this flame flickers,
It dances in my heart.

Though you’re not here,
You still burn bright,
Bringing comfort
You lead me through the night.

Rejoicing in this golden glow,
Now I begin to see,
The shimmer of this light
Is your gift to me.

galaxy of myths
My fingers crawl to
the loneliest place when I
want and miss you most.

Some one once told me
to love others, I must first love myself
Somthing I could never do

Nonsense, I could never love this mess that I call myself

but your smile
your voice
your warmth

so comforting.
so beautiful

sometimes I'm able to forget what hating myself feels like
when I'm in your arms.
