Superwoman
Reuben Dec 2017
By: Reuben Paredes

Is not a thing?
But a special human being,
Who can do everything?
‘Cause she has something,
What to give and offer for others
When she is there, nothing to be bothers,
Doing multiple task,
Even without effort to ask,
Her special power is simple, that is to create,
Out of the box ideas is easy, for her to generate,
She is always there and keen to help,
Or even you don’t need to have a yelp,
A giver and savior of the day,
But also a solution that takes your worry away,
A strong as a steal that no one can break,
Yet, gives her heart of gold for all sake,
Her ability is extraordinary that you can imagine,
Only to inspired and dazed, her marvelous fine,
What a world can’t recognize a woman that so great,
Nor, the fantastic life, she is often feat,
And her superpower is to give unconditional love,
That you need to do is to possess it and have.

BreakFree
Reuben Aug 2017
How can I begin with?
From my mother’s womb until my first breath
There’s a reason my family to celebrate
A new life was begin and create

Make a stand and walk is not yet for my feet
To say and talk is not an easy feat
Move and speak is a tall order task
And I can only do is a cry for ask

In my mother’s teaching it builds my foundation
To prepare the stages of my education
Leaving for a short time a house that I call home
Striving for the world having a bigger dome

For each day I live I choose to be the best
To taste the sweet of what a joyful rest
I broke my heart, for every gain
Along the way, I face the pain

Can I still find my own finest day?
Or a death has a final say
Will I find the key to my prison break?
Or to die an opportunity to be free.

Falling in our own rooftop
How long it will be?
I made this to associate with the rain

Oh, Christmas I’ve seen you in my past,
Were my childhood, innocent is instill,
Like a child waiting for the present,
Until, I unwrapped my gift and felt content,
As I smiled and keep enjoy at will,
In hoping that each memory may lasts,
How is different the feeling to be a child?
With the cold wind, blown in wild,
And imagine, the tidings in tenderness mild,
Would it be the same today?
Of the glimpse of my youth is gone,
In zenith of Yule, may I salvage of my heyday,
Will my shout of hurrah! Is enough and done,
Whatever will be the tomorrow brings,
May the Old Christmas Carole will be hear and sing,
Like a wind chimes that sounds serene,
Be the light in my eyes to be seen,
Let, your bright star, be shine above,
And be the lambent light, glows in our beloved.

To my Dog

On the month when the rain occur
The moment a dark clouds paints over the sky
There’s a sunlight that looks and appear
My house filled with pleasant surprise and joy
A cute little puppy quiet and shy

From the time we meet, I can see a new day
As the time passing by I can perceive his way
Learning to be patient is the only cue you have
To understand and know it more to love
I can only think what tricks he needs to yearn

As each days disappear, I wonder with the things he learn
Teaching to discipline is a critical tool for him to grasp
In step by step one from the other, he gets and picks it up
Being on his side and knowing his fine is a comfort
Home without him and leaving alone it as like as desert.

Playing, giggling and running are fun and like I’m wearing smile
Taking a photo and catching moments are memories to be file
Treating him my best friend is the best I could give
For this poem is dedicate to my loving pet, that still live
And I want to fill up, the blank three times
Pocholo! Pocholo! Pocholo! is the name that rhymes.

GOD’S LOVE
Reuben Dec 2017
How great is his thy love?
From depth of the seas and oceans
To the width of a vastness terrain,
And the height of the highest sky, where he is seated.
I can only say is immeasurable and boundless from beginning to end.

Exclaiming and exalting his magnificent and glorious name above all
Will ever find and see him for those time, I need him the most?
But the only thing I know that he gave his only begotten son to die for our sins
For his scripture and words will never perish.

If God will give me a chance to stay or be with him,
I will choose the latter and I only to do is love him
Because without him, I will never be here,
No, not one in this world you can find a love that is so great.

A love that cares and lift us from the trials and circumstances facing day by day
It teaches us to be good at all the times
Making us the better person that we can be
And giving the best that we can do.

Portraits and pictures resembles the past,
Every one forms an image and memories that lasts,
It portray and tell the part of our lives in sequence
That depict ourselves from the time we experience

No matter how, I look every angle and see it through
I can still find the people that brings my life breakthrough
To summarize what contribution, they did
I thought both loneliness and happiness are the possessions, I hid

Being with them both loved and hatred is I got for
Because one thing, I will always pray is to change, I did before,
For those I cling and show them the light, I felt delighted and contented
But others I hated and leave in the dark, only regret I can described

Most of them are unique and special but one is dearest to my heart,
Awaking for the time, when I see the smile that melts me apart,
Reminiscing the moment that someone came it brightens my day
And only giving inspiration in my heyday

Oh my God above, Can I turn back the time?
Going back in this period and steal a chance, would it be a crime?
Should I only do, is to accept that is forever lost?
To change anything a bit, is yet unknown, of how it cost.

Elegy to my sweet kitty
Reuben Dec 2017
By: Reuben Paredes

How great thy painful heart, in my sorrow,
Art thou gone, the glimpse of my thine eyes,
Leaved in shadow of darkness, ‘til morrow,
Echoed in silence, the throb of my sigh,

To think a crime commit, with no conscience,
Who is someone carry, the guilt of shame,
Seeing a raspy and panting of breath,
O’er the body of an innocent kit,

Have laid no waste of time, flow in tears,
Of my heart stops for a second to still,
Looking the remains in seize of its life,
Felt the numb on my own knee, waits to kneel,

Thy plaintive view struck by the sight of death,
Heard the music of requiem for its dull,
No more goodness of sweet my little kitty,
No, thou loving poor ****! My own pet keen,

Who will now feed, thou food prepare for morn’
Who now nap on my feet and lick on it,
I haven’t come prepared for the gloomy,
Having no peace, candid’ for the restless,

Not a song of gladness will be enough,
For the debt of life, must be paid on death,
The sweet revenge shall ease the face of mourn’
May the sweet revenge shall take of my woe,

Oh, thee thy good lord from heaven above,
Forget, not the spirit of my **** thee,
Alas, Farewell! Dear innocent kitty,
Love of mine thee, give warmth of cold in grave.

Distance from my Heart
Reuben Dec 2017
How long will it take, for you to reach?
To see your face that makes me smile,
Have the kiss, I longing for so much,
Would be my love is enough to cover the mile,
Even though you’re not, here in my side,
Let the God be our light and guide,
When you are here, I can find the happiness,
But when you’re gone, I felt the lost in my loneliness,
Having the trust and faith to be one again,
Keeping your smile in my mind is the only thing, I may do,
For your laughter are drops of rain,
Giving me comfort and unwavering hope that will not due,
I will cross the rivers, oceans and seas,
Using a pair of wings made of my finest love for you to see,
May the wind help, to lift us as we hold together,
Carry to the place, reserve for the two of us forever,
Though the time force you to depart,
I believe that one day, you and I will never be apart.

New, menus for you to taste,
Eating, every meal without any haste,
With, tender love of serving,
Zeal, of memories that is never ending,
Entice, your appetite until you craze,
Awaits, for the main course that you will praise,
Love, the dessert that makes you crave,
Acquit, yourself in the guilt you have,
Never, let anyone take a chance for you to grab,
Different, sensation tickles you to nab.

RAINFALL AND RAINDROPS
Reuben Aug 2019
Here, Here, Here! Rolling clouds above,
Slithering to cover the vastness,
Upward! looking in its dark towering darkness,
Forwarded my eyes, in its colossal move,
Hovering to its impenetrable dense,
Hearing the cracks and claps of thunders,
Tiny droplets of watery beads over the fence,
Dripping upon the rooftop, drizzle and sliver,
Showering anywhere and everywhere,
Executing, its constant dropping to nowhere,
Like a misty dew, slipping on the leaves,
Oh! how cold? Splashing over the skin,
Wondering to go somewhere to leave,
Walking around to be profound and grin,
Showing that will never cease falling,
Raining isn’t it? It was they called,
Can, I make it through by its restless forced?
Or stood still smiling and laughing.
Rainfall, rain, droplets, clouds, colossal, falling

A Star in My Eyes
Reuben Aug 2017
How can I reach the star that so high?
To wonder and magnify and make a sigh
By looking beyond the horizon
In my troubled mind, I can find a reason

Stars are like angels floating and shining above
Guiding us in the road of our love
Leading us to the place were joy and happiness live
Were dreams and destiny, we strive to believe

Both of us, whether you and I find us first,
But the paramount of our existence is the laughter we bursts
Never letting the light lost in our hearts,
Is the only greatest gift, we can wish from the stars.

CLOUDS
Reuben Aug 2017
By; Reuben Paredes
Come, here the great white clouds are passing by,
Lift, my mind and body and carry me to an endless sky,
Offer, a comfort of joy and sail into the ride of quest,
Under, the branch of tree and with your shade lay me to a rest,
Dwell, be my home against the rage of storm and stay by my side,
See, watch the every steps of my day and be my guide.
