the leaves are rustling outside of my bedroom window, kissed half with sweet sunlight, and half with death.

the branches, broad, and bows dancing, twinkle the leaves; entrancing.

the roots are deep, steadfast, and true.
unlike the man I thought I knew.
Hidden within the earthy depth
only emerges with time
only dances in tangent
now slips out with the butterflies.
Now the nightingales singing aloud!

One has spoken out, one blew
a kiss out off the dark seed.
Ah, what then broke through?
Up from the sky the blue-nymph
dropped down on the scene!
One that hid blurring that's image
on the mirror is that now been seen?

Pouring rain singing down to primulas
paints it with all the colours of the wind
now the Spring picked up her paintbrush.

Rain some colour blow a kiss of the flower
paint it out of the mirror!
From her soft, fair skin
To her messy, curly hair.
Her soft, kind smile and
Her thin figure..
They all saw her as gentle beauty.
They don't know, do they?
They don't know that her scars don't come from her favorite rose bush.
They don't know how much she hates her "adorable" freckles.
They don't know that when she looks down at her body, she sees an elephant.
They don't know that she has never nor will she ever see herself as beautiful.
She doesn't understand what they see.
She doesn't understand what he sees.
You all have the story wrong.
She didn't fall in love with a beast.
The beasts were in her mind.
Beauty was killed by her beasts..
And no one could see behind her bright smile.

She loved people
She hadn't meant to love.
They'd take her heart
But it was never enough
They'd hold her up
Throw her down
Leave her trembling on the ground.

They often made her listen to their laughter
always seeming to be after
The leftover pieces of her weary soul
But when that girl was alone
Her eyes would close and her lips would cry

"One day Ill climb so high
I will own the sky
I will never cry again.
One day the sun will rise
And I'll be right by its side
Together we'll forever shine."

She hoped for things
She never should have dreamed.
Like a loving man
Who always brought her peace.
For with that fantasy inside her head
She looked for love
In an unkind man.
He'd hold her close
Kiss her lips
Say she's beautiful
And she'd always be his.
But then he'd let her fall
Say its all her fault
Get angry and hold her
Much too hard.

She'd stay curled up inside her head
Arms protecting herself
From the words that had been said
And she'd cover up the sting of his song
By singing her own little verse

"One day I'll climb so high
I will touch the sky
I will never fall again.
And when the sun does rise
Ill be right by its side
Forever part of its light.
When he looks up to the skies
Ill be burnt into his eyes.
He will never yell again.
I will never cry again."

What am I trying to say is this:
My world is in color and you,
You are the cherry red,
You are neon.
You are everything my heart
Did not know it could be.

And tonight,
I am indigo streaks
Across the world;
A suffocating introversion
A depression which once
Took hold of me.
Sun
Whilst sun rays beam,
on this longing cement,
Grass and nature perk,
leaning towards goals,
waiting for rain in drought,
As dry as deserts,
Like gunpowder to a musketeer,
Dry, explosive in heat,
Skin and fur are touched,
by her light feathery reach.

Soul and hearts enter zones,
of tranquility and peace,
Blackest of seas,
Appear as turquoise overtones,
Yearning over this land,
we call home,
When its truly her house,
of sanctuary, her humble abode,
Birds sing harmonic tunes,
through gaps in trees,
Minds are opened,
like gates to a throne,
Separated,
From a plethora of clouds,
That weigh us down like anvils.

Within our persona,
we expect greatness,
over uncontrollable forces,
But she grins and laughs,
like a sinister angel,
of giving and forgiving,
All the while,
Earth remains spinning,
She sustains extant,
And keeps us living.
