All she wanted,
Was to be free.
But not just free,
alone.
She wanted to be free with
him.
To dance upon the fields and soar into the sky,
Far into the stars,
the things that
light
the
night.
Far, far away,
just to soar into the light.
Free, You + Me

Warmth to the heart,

Touching the soul.

The smell of ash,

Like the days of old.

Waiting for a spark,

A love that will ignite.

Where I will feel alive,

With love,

As the fuel.

Let it be alive,

Like a fire

When I first yearned for the love returned.

I cannot make you feel beautiful.
Perhaps if you could for one brief moment,
With one softly drawn breath,
See yourself through me,
And behold the magic you carry within you,
As your friends,
Your family,
And the many strangers who pass you each day do,
Perhaps in that moment,
You would change your perception of yourself for an eternity,
For yours is a beauty that touches everyone,
Except you,
But perhaps through me you could come to know yourself.
I love you my cream puff.

i was going to write a poem about you, darling
but out of all the words in this language
and every other language in existence
i am yet to find one to describe you.

I think I saw you in my sleep, darling
Darling, you were in my dreams
You never seem to leave my mind, darling
Darling, why won’t you leave?

There’s something about you, darling
Darling, I just don’t know what
I’ve never seen someone like you, darling
Darling, you’re unique

I love the way you smile, darling
Darling, your laugh is divine
Your jokes are kind of corny, darling
Darling, I still love them

I love how awkward you are, darling
Darling, you’re oh so shy
But that’s ok, darling
Darling, we’re just the same

I know you don’t notice me, darling
Darling, I’m invisible to you
But you take up so much room in my heart, darling
Darling, I love you

Just give me Jesus,
He’s all I need.
He’s always there,
He won’t leave me.
Like all the imperfect people out there who have.
He won’t give up,
Or just move on.
He will be here encouraging me.
Helping me.
Carrying my burden.
Holding my heart as I give it as an offering in my child state.
He shows me the low way.
He guides my eyes to the hills,
He takes me to places where no one else will be.
He is my friend,
My Savior,
My King.

When I feel down,
Or I’ve been thrown to the dirt,
All battered and scared.
He will clean my wounds and give me peace.
He will show me the way to go.
For the dirt is where the flowers grow.
Wrote this through a transition in life where I had to leave friends and ones I loved.
