If you're happy and you know it
Slit your wrists
Watch your blood drip down
To your fists

If you're happy and you know it
Stay away from THE zombie poet
If you're happy and you know it
Look out for Chris

Our earth has turned
Our lives are torn
We are able to see light no more
If only for a second we shine bright
We are reminded of our destiny
That of which is death
We strive to survive
We strive to stay alive
Being surrounded with demons of flesh and bone
Demons who are torn
Tattered
Look defeated but are actually reborn
Reborn through blistering scorn they rise
Their numbers are growing
We do nothing for god is showing
Showing his hatred for our kind
Showing his secret and sacred mind
We scream
We cry
For he gives no sympathy
We scream
We die
For he gives no sympathy
They feast off our loved one's limb by limb
We hear their screams as he dies
As she dies
No goodbyes
Just demise
Torn eyes
Black skies
Reaching at us from above tearing our hope from our chest
Our dreams as we rest
Our lives as we suppress
Suppress who we once were
For that is no more
Only for so long can we hide our screams
We will be found
We will be desecrated
Piece by piece
Our mothers torn and brothers death through scorn
Our wives see blood and flesh before being reborn
Now one of them they fight it but only postpone
Postpone the inevitable
The inevitability of turning
Turning from who you once were to a demon
Your birthdays
Weddings
Memories become waist
As you see through the devils eyes you hunt to feast
Inoperational your emotions become
Through the eyes of evil you become ****
No way out
Our end has begun
Our god has given up
On our petty existence we call success
Given up on the killing
The thievery
The ****
The pedophiles
This is why we die
This is why black takes our sky
Why evil is now his ally
Why we are ripped apart before we depart into hell
We become the hatred we once rebelled
The hatred we once repelled
Your children ask you why
Ask you why we have to die
You look into their eyes knowing they will once too be deleted
Deleted from existence
The tattered flesh and blood is insistence
Insistence of his wrath
While we beg to his knees
He returns to his kin with this disease
This plague
This is why we hide
The conquering he takes with pride
Vague emotions to hell we ride
This rapture has become our end
This rapture has become our end

I'm alone in my head
Left for dead by all the things I never said creeping up and feeding on me like a zombie.
The regret is gnawing at what remains of my soul ripping apart dreams and goals that I once held close.

This darkness surrounds me.
It's inside of you too. It's plotting your demise and there is nothing you can do, but to face your inner demons to overcome you must defeat them, but the journey into hell isn't for the weak of heart, with lack of reasons.

They'll chew you up, spit you out, and put you back at the Beginning.

Darling,
in the event of a zombie apocalypse,
I’m gonna marry you.
I know, that romantic testimonial
isn’t quite the matrimonial proposition
you were expecting,
but I’m projecting a lovely future for us!

You see, when the dead break free,
I’ll come save you.
I’ll be your knight in shining Kevlar,
your cranium-crushing crusader,
and safe in our barricaded bungalow,
we’ll match moans for groans
with the shambling horde outside.

We’ll make love ’til death do we part,
or at least til we start
to run out of supplies,
and if we get in a pinch,
I’ve got a surprise:
see, I’ll paralyze them with poetry,
’cause if there’s anything
a zombie understands, it’s desire.

Meanwhile,
you lay down suppressive fire
and we’ll take out as many as we can.
If in the end we are overrun,
I’ll let them take me
so you can get away.

They can have my brain–
it’s my heart that beats for you.

Time drags on slow
Just another moment in this coffin
I'm not wailing now
But if I was, no one would hear it
There is a pain to being dead
Such a sick existence

I can feel myself rot
More skin leaving these bones
I want to break through this wooden box
To crawl through the dirt and the roots
Craving the brains of the living
To try and ease the pain

But for now, here is where I'll lay
Sinking more into the earth
I shall hurt for a little while longer
Till I get my chance to be above ground once more
This piece was inspired by the 80's cult film (and one of my favorites) Return of the Living Dead. A couple lines are very close to what is said in the movie by a zombie being interrogated.

Chaos is the weather of the day
raging its fury and madness on all beings

Every drop of sanity left is far more precious
than the diamonds we craved
reducing mountains to rumble in our greed

Standing by a hidden window
I witness the drops of sanity
slowly being swallowed by chaos' infinite army

Fear runs freely through my veins
gathering followers in each cell it passes

My trembling fingers can barely hold onto the curtains
that hide me from chaos' dark forces

Its too cold to even try to sweat out
all the confusion and fear that runs freely inside me

My feet once planted firmly on the ground
now slowly turn to liquid
melting my resolve to keep fighting

Just 20 feet up a dark forgotten building we hide.
The last few drops of sanity left
in a ferocious universe of death and decay
Our number is slowly dwindling too

I feel my mind losing its control
over any stray hope or might left within to survive

But then,
Hope quietly walks in
wrapping his arms like thick steel bands of resolve
strengthening my feet
and burning away the fear with its warmth

Hope pulls me towards his warm beating chest
chasing away the icy breath of fear
that took hold of my weak body

Hope slowly walks us back
to the lone camp bed
whispering words which fall
like soothing waterfalls
drowning my soul

Hope looks me in the eye
shooting all his strength into me
inflating my body with his resolve

Hope sits beside me through the
shrieks and cries of sanity being wiped out
protecting me from sanity's doomed fate

Like a warm ray of sunlight
Hope stands tall
keeping the final dregs of sanity aflame
giving just the warmth and strength needed to survive

Day by day I watch with rapt curiosity as
Hope plans our final escape
to paradise or hell all depends
on luck

But with Hope by my side
I need not company of chance and luck
who are strangers to my being

In you I believe
In you rests all my faith
and should we all be turned in tomorrow's rising sun
I shall be glad to have been wiped away
with Hope by my side.
This came to me after my friend and I sat one day discussing what if a zombie apocalypse was on us. we sat and actually planned our plan of escape and who we'd want to take along with us.
We've been obsessed with zombies ever since.

There's nothing to see but abandon
Humans had nests everywhere, still away they flew
There's no civilization except evolved bloodlust organisms
Apocalypsing that which we once knew
With nothing on creatures except ruined skin and spores
Plant-infested creatures and beings - the outbreak was too quick and too new
There's no chance of survival except one-in-a-million
Too many victims from when everything overgrew
There's no way to shelter but running
From the terrible undead truth
There's no way to defend but attack
It's what everyone now has to do
There's no way to cope with the knowledge
When you finally figure out the clue
There's no way to fight once you finally know
What exactly you're fighting through
There's no way to stay in order
All survivors desiring 'He overthrew'
There's no warning when they make their strike
Distracted by your infighting, they bit with the venom of yew
There's no hope when the infection spreads further
Into the ranks of your few
There's no more love from a friendship of years
When from her mouth, poison and blood start to spew
There's nowhere to escape when they come again
The most intelligent of them have come for you
There's no way to survive but sacrifice
Let them throw your bones in their stew
There's no way to live but die
This way, you will be born anew
plants vs zombies? plant zombies.
