I am a little peck in the distance,
easily swept away by the slightest gush of wind
and the most miniscule wave.
Crushed among the rocks I see a clock,
it’s counting counting down
until we are not wandering upon the face
of the earth anymore.

Where I go no one else goes.
Where you go I cannot go.
We’re a distance apart
and nonetheless we are in the same nutshell
on this earth-shattering ocean which roars
and roars and will not stop.

Those who lack a common purpose,
A strong sense of fraternity,
Rarely shall be victorious
Against a common enemy.

Those who choose to work together,
  Who share responsibility,
Who unite in their endeavours,
Have much more hope of victory.
Dave Robertson May 2020
Splinter and divide,
time after time,
bluster and misdirect,
point to the workshy or foreigners,
twist the knife in vulnerable hearts
and fan the fear

We’re here because at some point past
we agreed this land should last
that it stands for goodness and right
and all heads shared the thought
so the idea
became

Our disgust and indignance
threatens a retreat
so the squeakiest wheel triumphs
through attrition

Your mission,
should you choose to accept it,
is this:

Call out the heartless, the bleak,
the self self self serving,
the thoughtless, the blinkered
the unthinkers

Every breath, every day
our grit and mettle can save us
and an idea worth saving

Competition

You be less
so
I be more

Begun a loooong time ago, completed today with a sense of wholeness and blitheness.

Run the race of life at your own pace, if origins defines race then we are all Africans,
Life is a journey it takes a minute to by pass an hundred kilometres,
Let's not allow our differences ****** the glory inside us,

We are all humans, we are one, let's make it a better place for you and I,
Killing one another can never resolve the issues on ground

Because I'm black doesn't stop me from walking in the midst of whites,
Races doesn't really exist for us because  it has never been an hinders. Black folks don't have that choice.

I'm black I can't own a bank in los Angeles, because the white folks thinks its a barrier to them,
If origins define race then the entire human is Africa,
We need to encourage one another, nobody is perfect in all that is doing.

Hatred paralyzes life, love heals it, hatred confuses life
Love harmonize it, returning violence for violence courses violent,
It add more darkness to the human race,

Let's come together and make peace, God didn't create us to look our differences,he created us to love one another,
Let's fight for peace, let's make this world a better place, let's together run this races and win it in peace.

We are one human, we shouldn't look at colors differences.

The dog is black, the cat is white.
The mouse is grey - both day and night!
The grass is green, the sky is blue
And when I'm hurt, i turn to you.

The rose is sweet, the lemon sour.
The minute short - so is the hour...
But long and painful is my due -
That which I pay when there's no you.
Written as a part-fun-part-challenge thingie with a student.

Uncertainty is terrifying
Indefinite is paralyzing
Isolation is immobilizing

We take these terms in stride
as we know of the greater struggle
yet the fear of fear itself is not a source of pride

Feel the stress, endure the hardship
and remember there is a family here
that will be there for kinship

What is coming is unknown
what has happened is not overblown
How we move forward will make a noise that resounds

Lets band together and rise
Ensure we mitigate a demise
Keep away and safe
but not alone
not
without good faith

My eyes are open
I don't know where I stand
Welcomed into a world divided by credo
Everybody supporting a faith
A faith they fail to investigate
Searching for a creator
One unseen,one near and far
Told to be closest to those pure in heart
A father we all seek in ways diverse incomprehensible by the mind
Division among His children all in the name of spiritual enlightenment
The world is lost, I wail
Fighting each other because they follow a God they claim embodies LOVE
I believe in a God, my origin
My eyes are open,so must yours
Let's face reality and unite as one
Earth is our home, God is for us all
Let us keep our minds filled with the catchphrase" we are one people and one nation"
What God has put together let no man put assunder
Togetherness

I've only lived so many years

Only lived in so many places

Have only met so many people
And have only experienced so many things

But I've lived more than one life through every connection

Lived in all of the places they have been

Felt every feeling one feels with their loved ones

And have seen time as they have seen
it

unwind

And though it may seem impossible

through their eyes I see me

the world

in their reflection
see yourself in this as you see it. and then ask why.
