They say that we are made of stardust
That when we look skyward we see our brothers and sisters from another time
That we were once placed in the sky by some long faded God beside those bodies of diamonds and destructive light
They say that the light we see is years old
Those brothers and sisters from another life may have collapsed years ago and we wouldn't know
New brothers and sisters would be born from their stardust
We would never know what star they were created from
We would never know what star had blinked out of existence for them to be crowned
We wouldn't even notice it was even missing from the cosmos
For there are too many stars to count
His brothers and sisters still strung in the sky would weep at his passing
They would look down on us and expect to find us grief-stricken
Instead they find us ignorant
Not bothering to notice the slightly dimmer sky
Most of us wouldn't be aware of the tiny miracle made of stardust that had just been brought into the word because of an ancient beings sacrifice
Long ago the stars looked down on us benevolently
Now they look at us with scorn
We have never appreciated their sacrifice
I doubt we ever will
At least not until the light from the final star blinks out of existence
Leaving only the yawning void for us to stare at during the night
But that endless ebony would've existed much longer than we knew
Because that star would've been dead for years.
Floating away with stardust in my hand,
Pieces of sunshine with nowhere to land,
Basking in lightness I don’t understand,
Holding stardust is like love in my hand.

Carrying stardust wherever I go,
To hold with me a bit of cosmic glow,
How it shines so bright I will never know,
Sprinkling stardust is letting my love show.

Kissing the stardust around my head,
Sleeping with starlight beside me in bed,
Into the darkness it’s lit where I’ve led,
Following stardust to true love ahead.

Needing the stardust as much as I do,
Alive with glow of energy new,
Its glorious aura in all that’s true,
Loving stardust, my star, that stardust is you.

Stardust in my bones,
Bonds with starlight in your eyes;
We are the universe!

A warm hand caressing my cheek
The softest touch of light
A kiss filled with stardust
Whispering me golden words of love
This might be my favorite poem i've ever done

There are those in life
Who have given their best
Shot their best shot
Jumped their longest stride
Walked their longest mile
Ran their longest race
Climbed their highest peak
Although somehow they still haven't reached their destination
Haven't found their happy ending
But they still put their best foot forward
they rise after every fall and keep pushing
Until one day the find their answer
Until one day they turn dust into gold
Until one day they become the light at the end of the tunnel
They beam like a lighthouse
and show the world who they are made of, made of stardust
They shine bright like gemstones on the midnight blue sky

To be a star you need to embrace the darkness
Stars can't shine without darkness

I'll take my own experience,
Wrap it up and tie it in a bow.
I'll take all the things I've felt,
Make it poetic and put it in a show.
I will build walls around my heart,
Then talk about how roses bloom in the cracks.
And I'll tell them how you kisses me where you punched,
But never tell them I punched back.
I will write monologues about the sky
And how it reminds me of your hair
Or perhaps a sonnet
About how I never really cared.
I'll take my abandonment issues and sob stories
Into the palm of my hand
Then crush it into stardust
And try to be the sea glass in a beach full of sand
But no matter how many
Metaphores or analogies I create
I can make words beautiful
But never my feelings fake.
We are poets stuck in a cycle,
Blooming blossoms that never change.
We are artists making art
Out of the beauty of pain.

Soon enough,
The air will become frigid,
As the blue sky fades to black.
Like the trees,
We will be stripped free.

Then we will be naked of our human skin.
Only the moon will see us for who we truly are.
Walking,
Living,
Breathing,
Stardust.

You can see the congregation, accumulation of lights,
Like a astronomical version of a jar of fireflies,
Waiting for hours to just see a slight movement of galaxies in the sky,
A city of stars for you to gaze at all night,
Keep your head up at the little lights,
You little stargazer,
Because waiting helps you to find the miracles in life.
You may be the size of stardust,
Surrounded by trillions of stars, and it might be too much for you at the moment
But remember that when you look down,
You might run into a wall, and you won’t be able to find your way,
As your ancestors once did,
The small specs of burning elements guiding their every move.
Keep your head up, little stargazer,
Because finding your way at night will help you know who you are,
Sail across the seas,
Walk through the deepest caverns,
Explore every nook and cranny to find your center,
Just keep your head up, and look to the stars for guidance,
Because they aren’t just a city of stars,
You name the stars in the sky to find your way,
To guide your life,
To learn more about the world and the existence of everything around you.
Just keep your head up.
