His name was eby,
he was like her teddy.

Far away was he gone ,
and made her feel so lone.

To be back together she wished ,
his kisses which she missed.

Thinking of the happy times she lost ,
remembering it was pain that caused.

Sleepy was his eyes ,
yet she found them nice.

For hours they talked ,
together they walked .

So beautiful their life had been ,
with nightmares not forseen .

He was an elixer to her,
meeting him was an err.

Then she was all broken,
with nightmares she was woken.

was as if she was stabbed into the heart without a miss ,
thinking what she had done to deserve this .

She felt all crushed,
with her tears all  rushed .

Forgetting was more pain,
so wiping her tears in the rain .

Brightly then the sun shined,
chucking away her thoughts in mind.

Moved on like a boss,
'cause an *** she was .

if you can't stand up for me
then you don't deserve to stand next to me

You thought you're meant to be
And you kept on dreaming that life with him is your Destiny
You follow everything according to your plans

But what happenned?
That when you said that he is your destiny
Is the time that he left you with so much misery

He even cheated a lot of times
Still you're giving him a lot of chances
You know inside of you that you deserve better
And yes you do deserve even better

So Girl, do not settle for less
Because greater things is waiting for you ahead

Sticks and stones may break her bones
But words will give her doubt
When she stands in front of the mirror,
Wishing her stomach didn't poke out
Sticks and stones may break her bones
But words will give her doubt
When she goes to the gym
And tries working out
Sticks and stones may break her bones
But words will give her doubt
As she begins to stop eating,
And days later, blacks out

Don't play with fire is good advice, they knew
So they played with words
Thought it was okay
Obviously, they had not looked from her point of view
This happens way too often, and it's not okay. Help stop this by standing up for those getting bullied and show kindness.

Rooster has to crow in the morning
Cat has to prowl around at night.
I see a petty dictator ruining lives
I grab my pencil ready to fight.
We’re not in the dark ages anymore.
Nor are we still in the Old West.
We don’t slap on a pistol and go out
And put a bunch of lead into the pest.

So, I write down the words that I feel.
I call a snake-oil salesman what he is.
I carefully explain what a crook looks like
And show off the difference from a Wiz.
They may claim they’re an eagle today
If that is the delusion they are in.
But I will be quick to dispel such a lie
By pointing out the wattles on their chin.

Pigeons spread their droppings all over.
Dog likes to dig around in the dirt.
I have to point out the creeps in the world
Then take appropriate joy when they’re hurt.
My hope is the people that are fooled will see
They don’t have to sit and eat the lies.
They can stand up and ***** in the face
Of those who are criminals in disguise.

Tell any scoundrels exactly what they are
And let them know you are not fooled.
Don’t let them walk away feeling proud.
Make sure they’re appropriately schooled.
Knock any martinet off their pedestal.
Tell them you think they are a clown.
Don’t leave their ego in undented shape.
Then go on and kick them when they’re down.

if someone is ***** and everyone ignores it,
did it really happen?

if she said no and he didn't listen,
did she make a sound?

we live in a world where women teach their daughters
to scream before teaching them to say please.

where the word "no" is treated like a suggestion,
and "stop" is treated like a foreign phrase...

where a woman's innocence is crushed like a flower in hands that were never given permission to hold it.

and yet you wonder why girls go to the bathroom in pairs,
and call each other to make sure they got home safely?
this was hard to write, but i refuse to keep silent.

Keep speaking up without fear
Someday someone'll beyond hear
Keep championing for change
*Albeit it does you estrange

They said
Don’t wear leggings
Or a shirt that shows your cleavage
Because you need to be covered up
You’re a distraction

They said
Don’t use your period as an excuse
For male teachers to let you go to the bathroom
Because you’re not fooling anybody

They said
Don’t shave your head
Boys can
You can’t and don’t
And won’t because we’ll suspend you

They said
Watch the length of your skirt
The colour of your hair
The shoes and makeup
The piercings
And they call that fair

They said
Come to us if something is wrong
if you’re feeling bullied
if you feel unsafe
I guess they don’t remember asking my friend and I
if we heard of anyone in our year with suicidal tendencies
They asked us because
We were the sensible ones
The bright ones
We couldn't have been depressed.
I guess they didn’t see my panic
and my hand squeezing my wrist.

Because school
Is not a place
Where you can express who you are
School is not the place where you feel safe
It's a battle ground on the outside of your comfort zone.

School isn’t about education
Its a challenge, competition
Its a measurement of your capabilities

But what if you don't excel?
You’re called out for not being good enough
You're humiliated. Mocked.

You get looked down on
Judged
Embarrassed
And you don’t get your
Degree

As if a degree explains who you are
What you’ve been through
How much you’re worth

As if a degree
Measures the capacity
Of your heart
And your knowledge

And a teacher can share your grade
Make a joke and smirk
Cause they think you’re not worth it

And they can laugh and yell and call your parents
Who don’t think you’re any better.

Because year after year they’ve been led to believe
that you’re easily distracted
that you don’t do what you’re told
that you’re rebellious

Because even if you showed respect to the hypocrisy
That you can't help but notice,
They still won’t understand that you're just fighting
for what you believe is right, for mutual respect.

Because that’s not what you were thought.
You were thought to raise your hand when you want to speak.
And even if you made a valid point
You would still get lectured on putting your hand up when you want to speak.
Discipline put first.

**And that is my definition of school
