Adrift asleep,
Among the stars,
Eternity sleeps,
Existence discards,
Flashes of light,
Rush right past,
While this cosmic giant,
Slumbers so fast.

mermaid purses,
vales of kelp,
swinging skyward with the swell

of nautic rhythms
- submarine -
with incandescent, algal green.

in underworlds,
cathedrals blue,
we waltz in coral halls anew,

adorned in silks
of woven foam:
forgotten cold Atlantic home.
Maritime bliss.

Lonely bird, for whom do you wait?
Time has passed and still you sit:
Birdie, have you suffered as late?
You stand alone without a twitch:

The rain still cries this afternoon
Yet still you wet your feet on grass,
Thunderclouds yell at you too
But still you seem so botherless:

All alone by your lonesome self
Without a flock of birds or geese:
Funny duck, awkward bird
I wonder why you sit this eve.

But I fall victim always one,
To this delighted falling sun,
Still I get shaken by each leave,
Still possessed by cloud and sun.

There was you and me

4, 5, 6
your colorful bag of tricks

7, 8, 9
we'd share a bottle of wine.

These are the memories that send chills up my spine.

You were acid,
I was alkaline.

I used to pick the petals off a celandine, hoping
"maybe he'll choose me this time."

I thought our love to be phantasmagoric,
when in fact it was hardly auric.

leave it to me to always be metaphoric.

You impacted me in ways I can't describe

please believe me when I say this isn't my diatribe.

this is me trying my best to transmogrify.

my original stimuli,

you have no idea what you signified,

but

This is me trying my hardest to say goodbye.
numbers were always your thing

Son-of-Sam-I-am

with a ghost of a chance perchance

to stalk the block

where unsuspectings walk

Die-cast metal guy-am-I

all alone I sense the stone

reaching in to break the bone

Another one done for fun

Aren't I the fortunate son?

Your beloved, she calls
How then do you respond?
Your beloved, yearns
How then will you fulfil her?
Your beloved is waiting,
but do you search for her?

In the ocean of people,
she's an island to rest on her shore.
You search for love,
but what have you truly searched for?
Many speak of plenty fish in the sea,
what if your catch is in a lake?
You've searched far beyond corners that don't even exist. Could your beloved be much closer than you think?

She calls for you from her
heart. Do you hear it's beat?
She openly gives her heart
to you. Why child, do you still act as a thief?
She carries calm and structure to
your life. Why do you give her grief?
Her love is a home, a home
of sweet. But you belong to the street.

Till you learn to grow,
only will your love for her show.
Childish antics aren't forever,
but mature love will age with you.

Soon child,
you'll find your beloved when the time is right.

Alone the world has alway' been,
In cold the space where planet bend,
Next mars or pluto lit between —
But none would ever bother them.
Then stands alone this human being
And wonder where he'd travel then:

He flies to worlds beyond the stars,
Can mend the dream before his will,
Can think of ogres, wizards all;
Can think a way into a thrill:
But further down he might recall
Where evil hides and watches still.

While mission plans fall on a whim,
And rarely do they e'en come true,
Man revisits one for him —
And hopes that someone listens too:
Like father to us all children
And mother like the earthy moon.

When the song of love plays,
I won't have it on repeat.
When love is in the air,
I'll wear a mask. Don't need to get love sick.
When love tries to brush,
I'll stand my ground, not to get swept off my feet.
When love holds a knife,
it won't steal my heart. I won't entertain a thief.
And when love goes lost,
it won't make me cry or give me grief.

But isn't that what we all say?
Till love does all of those things,
and we fall in love one day.

Yes! Love is definitely strange.
