It's beautiful if you just float. Let the clouds give you pace on this spiritual boat.

The solar beams gleam through the steam, wafting off the radiating stream.

Beneath me a spirit, above me the genesis. Intergalactic boulders batter through the ozone. Laying waste to the land.

From the waste of destruction lays the fertility to a new world. A universe self aware. Seeded by the space rocks, for we are only atoms and bits made possible when the meteor hits.

I don't know where my life lies,
on the spectrum of time
woven with space,
set at a panthers pace.

I'm here in this solar symptom.
A perfect distance from the sun,
An idealistic ozone.
The third planet, but still alone.

You're in your solar symptom.
The planet's surface burns hot,
Your atmosphere rich in CO2.
Somehow, I still feel you.

Only an eighth of a galaxy away.
Baby that's still twelve thousand light years.
Subside to the quantum gears.

Your gravity weighs on you heavy,
let it take you in.
Trust me, it will alter your time in space. Setting years at a days pace.

Just hold on.
I'm on my three thousandth light year,
hold fast.
I fear my life might not last.

Your time winds in slow motion.
Baby, please wait.
My time is still the same.
Your days are my years,
and all of my fears.

This vessel will reach you.
Weather my bodies decayed
or you see my last day.

I remember how I felt when you grabbed my hand in outer space.

I’m scared of outer space unless your hand is in mine.

You took me to the moon, that’s where we sat and gazed upon the stars.

You took me to the sun where you kissed my forehead and told me everything was ok.

I'm scared of space but it’s ok because you were there.

And the shooting star we danced on, that was the same one that I wished upon.

I wished you loved me.

Because outer space is really my head, your Love was merely a daydream.

I looked up at the Moon through the hole of a straw
Her dusk, crescent shape
The only thing that I saw
Blocked from my pupil to the darkness around
The rest of the stars
Blazing without sound

Take away the straw, gaze up at the sky
The whole picture I missed
Not seen in my eye
A mess of twinkles shoved into a collage
Starring above
The Moon and Her entourage

The Moon as their chief, keeping the playful tamed
But night rules are fair
Sparks are never contained
Dance around each other, sail kisses through wind
A shooting star zipped passed
Its light never dimmed

Sparkling stars, next to Her, you're an image
Stay close by Her side
To stretch beauty's limits
Litter the earth with a fistful of bright spots
Sing out in space
Leave it gleaming and hot

Shine as their leader and protect the night sky
Yes, Moon, that's your entourage
Stuck in my eye
Being naive, the Moon is all that I saw
So look at the whole
Not through the hole of a straw.

I'm floating and I'm free
In my attic between the stars
Watching the universe,
The mesmerising universe,
Moving slowly, and alone
Like me.

I am alone, hope has left me
He stepped on the flame that kept me warm
After he'd thought my love was light
Light to his darkness

Why am I alone ?

Maybe I gave too much
Maybe he wanted more
Maybe I loved too hard
Maybe he never knew enough

Now I wonder

If love calls after him
If he realizes it's mine
If its my name that moves him
If the guilt washes over his peace

Is it love I feel for him,
Or the need to be held at night ?
Was it love he felt for me,
Or a charm seeing me lit so bright ?

But I am not him
It's why I am a lonely one
My heart the lavish ocean
My soul the opulent sky

So, floating and free
And I've given you a key
To my attic between the stars
Come watch the Universe,
The mesmerising universe,
As it moves slowly, but not alone
It's got us now
Thanks to the efforts of The turquoise one and only: Anyone for collaborating with me & pretty much adding a whole new visual to my writing.

past tense verbs with their pesky sense of definity
divinity
those who drink the water say
is the now and
already there
but what was makes me weep
and I can't breathe now
not with my neck craned around-intimately eyeing the ghosts of christmases passed
and oh god, don't make me hear "eventually"
I can't stomach "let it happen"
I've known you in nine lives
I've remembered you in all nine
and in the eleventh hour you've made a pearly bust of your apathy
but your lips are half parted
I drip with desire
but I only ever see you when I follow the hand around the clock

just so you know,
I make a lot for you.
more than I ever show you
It's just that, I can't quite seem to give it to you quick enough
Much like what we're all in, my love for you expands infinitely.
Defying the laws of time and space, a hawk and eagle soar the cosmos laughing while howling along the way
the value of your freedom means as much to me as it does to me
To sing you a poem or whistle the notes of your reflection back at you
Would only ever be, at least, a little golden lie to you
honesty non inherent
truth only achieved if presenting my creations as time capsules of my boundless, ever-changing love for you
trapped.
there is one little corner of my soul that you won't be able to see, but only because it must be hard to view from that vantage point
the eye of the storm

trapped inside of space and time with you.

I think in terms of space dust
rocks and dirt and eyes of mud
rocks and stars and desire of sun
burns above my belly button
i could cough it up, i could just gag myself and throw it up
it's really hard for me, though, to do things i don’t want to do
so i make space inside my stomach for a love that’s hard to stomach
And I wanna roam around Mars with you.
And I wanna roll around Venus with you.
Later?
Did you mean: later? Or did you mean: never?
My empathetic receptors curse me with the knowledge of what you want before you even know
My abounding empathy whips, long and hard; I’m sweaty and she makes me not ask
So I just assume that I occupy your head space too.
And oh dear God, I hope I have real estate in your space too.

All poets
Are in love with the moon
Romanticizing the mystery of outerspace
On a cold, lonely eve
To look up at the night sky
And sigh
At the glimmer of friendship
The sliver of hope
The reflection of love
Hanging next to the stars

Sometimes, I sigh
Remembering
The moon is nothing but a rock
Stuck in orbit
Stealing a poet's love.
A lot of poetry (including my own) is written about the moon or outerspace.

P.S. THIS ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE OFFENDING TO ANYONE WHO WRITES ABOUT THE MOON! (I do it a lot)

Just some depressing thoughts...

I sometimes feel suffocated.
There isn't enough fresh air in the world
To help me breath deeply.
One inhale and it would all be used up.
I could drink all the oceans and
Melt the glaciers
And my head would continue to throb
From dehydration.
I look around and I am a giant.
The earth isn't vast enough.
When I stand, my head hits the ceiling.
I want something grander.
I want to hold one long, loud note
Until the vibrations cause earthquakes.
Break through the earth-ceiling
And find myself in outer space.
I won't feel claustrophobic there.
