The beauty of living life out of the ordinary
Is the view no one else sees.
The tragedy of this lifestyle
Is the lonesome journey to the peak.
Darren Mar 2015
We are simple people,
whose names won't be remembered.
They will not build us monuments
or carve our faces into stones.

When we pass from this world
they will not broadcast our names
on the Television to tell the world.
Our mourners will not fill up Cathedrals.

Instead we will get a single column Obituary.
We shall lay our broken bodies in the family plot
next to those who left before us,
waiting patiently for those to come.

We are simple people and this our fate.
To celebrate the most mundane of things.
Baptisms and weddings;
First homes and new friends.

This is the life for which we live.
It is not a grand tale embodied with gold
but do not let this fool you.
Do not let this diminish its worth.

For this is an ordinary miracle.
A magnificent gift to be nobody,
and yet be everybody.
This is the phenomenon of simple life.

she is an ordinary girl
in an ordinary world
and she can't seem to get away...

like a child left behind
lacking the courage in her mind
she just don't let herself sway...

feeling depressed and all alone again
like someone strangled and drenched in pain
wiping the tears from her eyes...

looking at the mirror all by herself
and counting on the window turf
but no one who cares for her cries...

she is an ordinary girl
in an ordinary world
and she can't seem to get away...

with the glimpse of a blink
to the heart that did sink
she cries till today...

and wait for the return
of the one that had shun
her please and her sacrifice...

but she has her clue
and her feelings are true
that her heart did pay the price...

Unkind critics would say that poetry is a waste of time! It is garbage and predictable and that anyone could jump in and write those words without much effort.
But then again, critics don't know much about writing, which is why they're critical.

May you never cease to thrill at the ordinary.
May the charms of spring never cease to awaken your soul.
May you never grow accustomed to your lover's smell,
that you do not inhale it so often
that it becomes merely oxygen.
Stay young forever.

Another day, another ordinary day
To let go, to move on, to find my way
All I want is for you to hear me say
All I ever wanted was for you to *stay
---

Just another ordinary day.
I need a little dose of happiness.
I miss you.
Do you miss me too?
I wish you do.

I am the wolf
hidden in their skin.
I will never be them.
I will never fit in.

And the sheep speak slander.
Their words are venom.
Driving me towards
my life as a phantom.

And it's sick
That we carry such thunder.
When in all that I wanted
I was never a wonder.

And to eyes that see me,
to the eyes that look over
I still go unnoticed
As easily as the four leaf clover.

Just an ordinary day
doing things in an ordinary way
              tell you came along
Now I feel like singing a song
You made my otherwise ordinary day
                            Extraordinary in everyway
I dedicate this poem to my friends both near and on Hello Poetry
Who with their words and messages and presence make an otherwise
ordinary day an Extraordinary day.
