Vail tied to a weathering mask
with a child in tow
who grows swollen

And swells like his mother
from which he reluctantly
reared his head

In what was called The Cadaver Twist
A ******* accident, no less

No virtue in a conscience yet to breech
A lesson likely learned early
If only ...

Paternal instinct as the peripheral
responds autonomously to the bottle
with intervals of grease pouring
down the gullet

The rain decimates in torrential strife
Laying in bog known as
What Once Was

The second circle the seventh time.
Assyria busting at the seams.

The cantos of infanticide,

                                 breaching

                                      brackish water's deep.
And the buzzing ...

Your eyes, your face, your
fingertips.
They were all my favourites.
Your lies, your gaze, your perfect
lips.
I love thee too.
And those words, you would
mumble
in my ears.
They make me shiver
with delight.

I like to trace along the
raised scars
on your back.
Where your wings were
brutally ripped.
They felt
rough and ugly.
But no
you're not.

Was it painful?
Was it not?
When you fell
from above
In that one place called
paradise.

Because I know it does.
When I did fall,
No not from Heaven love
it's Inferno and Hell.

Misguided fire of passion
Burns one’s own abode
Even the tears of remorse
Can’t douse the raging inferno

Her eyes shine like undisturbed dew drops
hovering at the gentle fingertips of young moss
on the northern bark of a white cedar tree
under a lazy morning sun.

Spear points of obsidian pierce the disc:
banished from the core of a volcano
scorched by a molten heart
and choking on onyx soot.

The dawn warmth filters through,
carried by a serene and wafting breeze.
It illuminates the pleasant, tickling greenery,
bringing to light the depth of her irises.

Fire belches from the mountain's stomach,
and the flame ignites a gleam.
Her gemstone eyes shine
as though the embers have been captured within.

At the base, there is the earth:
firm and dark and cool.
Interlocking underbrush layers fawn with chestnut
overtaken but not undermined by powerful streaking tree trunks.

The rim is built of force and rumbles with strength.
A cast of bronze is seething and glowing.
Her intensity blazes as sun spots
deep within ancient amber.

She is as her eyes are
an indigo inferno:
seldom
and
elegantly alive.

Bells that chime with malcontent
shall toll the sounds of dread.
Whistles cry with detriment;
the hour of death's ahead.

Fields are razed, and valleys hazed;
miasma shall ensue.
Mountains crumble; end of days
rides 'pon the heels of doom.

Death has come for everyone;
no cornerstone unturned.
Putrefy to purify;
with blood, your lakes shall churn.

Sanctity's naught but a dream;
rescind your factions few.
It's all for one to come undone,
and all shall burn with you.

Clouds aflame, for in His name
the sky comes thund'ring down.
And when this land rests in His hand,
He'll take our throne and crown.

Tyrant-force with no remorse;
from out the sea, He'll rise.
He leads His thrall to conquer all,
with fire in His eyes.

Apocalypse shall head the Styx;
the river shall run high.
And to the banks, you stand in ranks
and heed Lord Charon's cry,

"File in, all ye of sin."
His cackles crack the trees.
*"Thy Earth undone, my kingdom come.
Now sunder unto me."

Take my hand
Lead me to the black inferno in my heart
       Leave me there
         Don't come back
Let me burn in your wrath
                         and
                       Lick the flames

Take me to a fresh Evergreen
        Kiss my breath
Make sure you never kiss me again
Let me revisit the dying leaves all alone
                           and
Let me gnaw my lips to ******* blood
But never let me taste you again

Swim with me in waters of plenty
Just as our feet feel nothing
Cup my face in your hands
Tickle my cheek for one last time
                Break me with your gaze
                        Then swim away
Let me try and recall the depths of your eyes
But never let me look into them again

Love me for a single moment
       Let me inhale your memory
                     and
                     Breathe in my masochism
       Let me gently fade away
                   and
Be shattered in the blowing wind
       Don't try and find me
I will be far beyond your reach

Don't you dare look back
Just be my memory

it's the middle of the night and
you love me like it's your job-
but, hell, you're good at it.

i love you so much that i think
if you let go then the earth might
shift, and i would slip into something
more comfortable-
like the second layer of inferno:
painful punishment while i watch you
holding onto her instead of me.

(i'm a ******* but i have my limits)

your arms fit around me and i pray
they will leave scars so that you will
always be with me.
