Tender, outstretched hands — a gentle invitation for the touch of acceptance, of which I have waited patiently for. I now not only hear affirmations of growth; I feel them too. Through the blessings of beautiful opportunities, I have grown fruitful, which I pay for in eternal gratitude. I seep into the earth, the trees, wind and sun, and slowly slip into a warm oblivion.

Saying thank you to someone who handed to you a little favor, saying thank you to someone who delivered you from your painful labor , saying thank you to someone who helped you by being your savior, saying thank you to someone who kept you and made you strong when you went wrong , saying thank you to someone who has been there for you, Saying thank you to someone who walked in whiles others walked out of your life, saying thank you to someone who offended others just to defend you, saying thank you to someone who made you whiles others destroyed you....

What matters most
Is not grand gestures
And fancy gifts,
But moments of intimacy
And connection,
Attention
And care.

This speaks to one person in particular - thank you 🙏🏻 - but is indicative for many out there I’m sure

Joy in your life
Follows purpose and meaning
Friends and family
Incremental progress

When you feel disconnected
From Joy in your life
Reach out to another
And connect again

Connect with laughter
Connect with play
Connect with gratitude
Connect with focus
Connect with service
Connect with forgiveness

These will light the fire
For joy in your life
And joy will remain
Your constant companion

my Mom has a website, and I help her keep it up and create and link new content.  I was working on her "Joy" page and pondering about what creates joy in our life.

I am thankful

I am thankful

For all the difficult times,
that revealed to me,
how strong I could be.

For all the toxic people in life,
Who taught what exactly,
I would never turn to be.

For all the hurdles in my ways,
that showed there is always
an alternate route to chase.

For all the flopped plans of mine,
that unveiled the new beginnings
awaiting the perfect time.

For all the failures that showed,
Temporary has been all dismay
& life has to move on, anyway.

For all the successes just for a while
Exposing the naked jealousies,
camouflaged as smiles.

For all the disappointing moments
Revealing truly sincere people besides.
who’ll shield me from harsh tides.

For that ultimate peaceful smile
That has struggled through tears
And survived through several fears.

I am thankful for all that learning
Despite all pain while yearning.
