You run through my mind
At a pace I’ll not forget
You race though my head
As if keeping up with a jet
I want to take you out on the town
Come with me and have some fun
You never slow down
In circles you run
Dancing though my brain
With an ever graceful poise
I’ll forever be grateful
That you’re not into boys
Faster you run
As I try to catch you
Grabbing you by the arm
Pulling you close to lean into
You leap away quick
And twirl in a circle
You think you’re so slick
Why can I not catch you?
Before I think twice
You’re leaping away
And before I think thrice
You’re coming back my way
You lean in close
As if to whisper my name
And with a smile you say
Wake up! Wake up!
It’s another beautiful day!
Good morning to my Angel

Im not a flirt, sure I flirt but I'm not a flirt I just want you to like me although next year you'll go to another high school

I'm not a flirt I just use humor to make you smile

I'm not a flirt I just drop off hints to see if you feel the same

I'm not a flirt I just enjoy poeming about you

I miss my home.
As I walk along this long and lonely road.
Exiled for **** I didn't do.
No one cared but you.
Although now it seems like you didn't care too.
You just let me leave.
And pretended to grieve.
But I came back to ask you something.
That's when I saw you in his arms.
He was seduced by your charms.
I walked away vowing to be somebody.
To bring the world to its knees.
And when I return with my new fame and wealth.
You'll beg me to take you back.
But I'll throw your heart in the dirt
Like a worthless flirt deserves.

"Baby you're a star" he said
And he kissed her under a cosmic sky full
He took a step back, winked at her
Took in a comic eye full
She shrugged and said
"that's kind of sad those stars have been dead for thousands of years
Those lights are just an illusion"
But really that is not quite so bad...
Sometimes love burns hot and bright
And sometimes its delusion
Just a thought I had in the shower

I'm not just a flirt.
When I think about you.
It doesn't just hurt.
Because you're leaving so soon.
Scared and unsure what the void will do.
Bandaids don't fix this type of wound.

I'm not just a flirt.
I've got deep feelings of compassion.
More humble than dirt.
Empathy that drowns me suddenly.
I'll be your rock in this river stream.
I'll never be too far.
Living more than a dream.

I'm not a flirt.
Drafts no one will ever see.
Passion I'll never quell.
Living with regrets.
Now that is true hell.

You're my perfect little distraction
Not more, for there is no reaction
As you move on in your silly life;
I mean, I don't want to be your wife
Nor anything else tied to your name
For I am not yours nor will I be.
Just a game we play, just words, you see,
Your lips aren't kissable but I
Must confess, your mind I can't deny.
We toy with notions that we could gain
Something out of our bold flirtations
Yet it is all preoccupation
As we both bustle around, away
And keep other sentiments at bay
By clouding them with this silly game.

With no strings attached, none can judge us
And it's one act I don't have to trust.
I can take a deep breath, spill my thoughts
And leave unscathed when it all just rots.

Slipping into my skimpiest dress I scream and smash all the softly twinkling
Glass
Embedded in mother's wedding heels, I totter on the edge 40 stories
High
In a stranger's bedroom, eyes low with a gun to my
Head
Away from relative safety, dance past a sign reading No
Trespassing
In the life of a married man, drinking wine and letting him
****
This life, light another cigarette, burn my palm with the dark end of a
Match
Made in heaven, made in hell, keep on
Moving
Inside me, out of body, casual notions, perpetual motion
