This Too Shall Pass

"These are not normal times" and
We agreed
Why not say we all are sick
So we seek to heal?

It's our fight to recover
A collective responsibility
What is there to discover
beyond the perimeter of our doors?

The streets no longer teem
Fellowships and gatherings our hotspot
Even rigid cultures have changed
Super nations under attack

Listen! The world is in crisis
It's not normal a time for us
to discover the world around us
Is it so much to contain?

The good news!
We can build on
But not out of danger
Let's keep our anger away from the survivors

One thing for sure,
"The child at the back of the mother
does not know the distance covered by
the weary feets of the mother, until he comes down and equally takes a walk"
Our leaders need us to cooperate and it's our cooperation that will make their work even easier.

Let's listen to our leaders
as we obey and allow the sciences.
Very soon, we shall see the signs
of the morning near because in the
clouds of misery, there is hope from the
rain that cometh forth.

God is our witness and
We'd come to our wits' end
This too shall pass..

As He is
He sees
And He ease
Prince of peace
He is
He shields
From the deeps
He is He
The one who heals
The omnipotence of God

Here is my home town.
I'm lucky to live here,
To have grown here
With all our familiar streets and sights;
The houses where we lived together,
The homes of my childhood friends;
Our schools, churches and local attractions
Are mostly here.
The comings and goings of the locals
Are documented in The Observer.
Familiar and strange.

Today I see a city of cards and cardboard cut-outs.
Sarnia is a museum display of life
In the 21st century I study from this side
Of the display case.
In time, the partition separating us will dissolve
Into a pile of shifting sand about our feet.

Our call might end
Our time together,
Might end
But our tie
Like space and time
Will never end.

We are put in the same battle terrain but our situations are different.

Food, water, clothes, shelter, entertainment and money are the things you got plenty, but I haven't got that many.

You know certain with your resources, how long you will last with this battle we have, but for me everyday it is like "will it be my last?".
In this world were change is constant, today you are preveledge but in a blink of an eye you can be otherwise. Always consider and respect other people's perspective, be kind and if you can give, give, cause it is true that it's better to give than to received.

It’s the dawn of a new fate
For the entire human race
We’ve grown to take advantage of being alive
And what it means for us to thrive
Hindsight has now let us realize
That our main goal is to simply survive

A dawn of a new age
Stuck inside a cage
A rat race while we isolate
From afar we communicate
Remain in a state to collaborate

Just waiting for the upward trend to reverse
It’s been a turn for worst in the midst of a new decade
Social dissociate is not how we were made
Many without pay and a world in dismay

With the dawn of each passing day
We hold onto hope that a new fate awaits
I wrote this when the Pandemic was first hitting. Just some thoughts about the strange times right now. Hope you all are well <3

~~~together you fight, together you succeed
                        Leaving memories behind, you perform risky deeds
Stay inside
Play it safe
There are much greater things to miss than a day at the beach
