Soar higher and think beyond the skies
Searching for the unknown
May land you in familiar territory
Keep the wings aligned with the wind
Nature’s guide will take you along its path
The worldly binds chains us to the ground
Clipping our wings, not allowing us to fly
Heavy as lead, we drown in sea of expectations
Completely drenched, the body soaked to the bones
Lying there along the sidelines, waiting for the sunshine
To dry the body and soul of all the limitations
Gaining consciousness and power from the Sun
Looking beyond the sky, the unknown looks familiar
Sometimes unchartered path is more inviting
To a traveler like us, helping us to reach our destination

Applause
Ten bars long
No pause
Swift swaying motion
Along the hook
Lit up hands clap
But don't echo
They'll sway
Passing by
Words of thought
Daily talk
Catch a few
Hear things so sad
Think of it's relativity
To you
But stop
Just stop
That will be you
sad
The cycle will continue
Eating away
The happiness
Of now
And now
And now
And the few more hours
Maybe more
Stop a few
Daylight savings
Not back
Forward
Forward
It's going forward
Even an end
Pain towards
But it's happy
So happy
One year to go
The Blackbirds song
Shows up at my window
To Escape
But dependent
Still dependant
So so dependant
Not on time
It's not you
It's a loan shark
Time
Toothpick falling
Moustache shaven
Foam falling on ground
In black and white
At the crumblings start
But no it's started
Moment of birth
No end till moment of death
Sleep breaks
Still up
Three am
Heavy breathing
On Time
So don't panic
You have time
Lots of time
Twelve
Six
One
Zero
Don't think about zero
Zero
Don't think of the end
End time
Movement
Slicked up hair
Passing me by
A ghost
That still lives with me
But not yet
The lock will slip
You a ghost
Not yet
Not yet
Not yet

Half an hour later
Sitting at the banister
With tears
Funny noises
The Looks around
A Half a cup of tea
No sugar
Not an end
Here's me
Not me
Really experimental style. Slightly inspired by "Not I" by Samuel Becket.
A stream of consciousness

There’s a gap
between
unconsciousness and unconsciousness.

Sometimes I wait
on the edge of sound
like a mumble against heaven

Then I stumble
in the fumbled voice
to blurt my words
like fresh water in a stale shower

All the blistered spats of phrase
one awkward drench
in the scurried seconds of my speech
as if to utter
is peculiar
and my mouth
a foreign flag
waved discretely
against a field of opposition

Then silence returns
throbbing intensely
at my ears
like almost sounds
denying everything I’ve said

Took a while to realize that my words revolved around desires
worlds apart were my enquires and my heart on fire

As I claimed to be searching for enlightment my hands were grappling infatuation

In denile I stood, claiming myself to not be hood but doing good and only slightly misunderstood

Mistaken I was

Lacking a clear perspective, a fool I was
As time progressed I became more effective when it came to reaching my objective

Because unless you're slightly introspective, and selective of those you allow to surround you, my life can do without you.

Ignorance isn't bliss
Braulio Romero Jun 2014
He loves all living things he gives a fallen meteor first aid
my bones rap with hollow stones on fence links and severed toes
When the sky cries he has feelings to rain
They get high fevers and tremors to calm themselves down
Everytime I see a picture of you my heart goes numb

Hear the whisper in the spring touch my skin
Don’t help the snow
it’s melting out the cold from the water  dripping down the sewer pipe hole
When the day brings the haze, wash my soul on the gutter and sit by the window pane
My heart trembles because it’s grateful to be alive but it stumbles to know what’s on your mind

All that I know this rain has sinked us down so low
But all I know that it’s dull as it sounds
What was my damage to suit myself in any care, oh where?
Either I fear the dawn

If I could I would
Course through your veins
Stream into your consciousness
And bask in the warmth of your beating heart!
Truth be told, I was skeptical.
Was this worth the cowry shell equivalent?
My mind was a dry skin covered foot caught on a fleece blanket.
My tongue, lined with the taste of that earthy bile.
Distant isles between Alaska and Ayahuasca,
but it all comes rushing back. Jungle visions.

She's once again lined with that finespun glow.
I'm once again letting the little things go.
She's letting me know for the very first time.
I'm struggling to find words for the very last rhyme.

Lick your wounds, traveler.

We are nature's instruments.
We are watchers in the night.

We're sailing on the calmest of waters,
but there is not a drop to drink.
Bad news for the boy who only rejects omens.
I will not hang a dead bird around my neck.
Retrace the lace and my hazy days of habit,
then let me know your honest opinion.
Exhibit an execution by exsiccation of the most exuberant exiles.
Or am I the only one who's thirsty?

I was supposed to be writing something down.
Some kind of secret; some kind of rune.
Can you help me find our primal core?
Your carnal truths are mine to keep.
Weren't you supposed to be going somewhere?
The flea burrow, no, The Doubling House.
For in those halls of mold and paper walls
your memories were uneagerly forged.
It's time to shed your summer skin
and begin to eat with your hands.
