It's Been Years Jun 2014
us
people like us are never not broken,

we just learn
how to live with the pain
as it lodges in our souls

and stays there forever

Thieving through the multiple strains
Of voices in the room,
Eavesdrops that one conversation with relish.
Looks out the corner of his eye,
Winces at the eye contact.
Curbs his laughter at the
Joke for he wasn’t expecting it.
They gesture to him
With a frantic wave of the hand,
He lets out a curt smile to/at them,
Walks on,
While they wondered
Why he was smiling to himself?
Context? Just describing a situation I feel we all might have been in, once. Say, you're miffed with someone, you're giving someone the cold shoulder, for you'll wait till eternity till that person 'realises' that she/he must come to you and apologize, and you'll be the better of the two souls for you'll forgive him rightaway. Only, you must act like you don't know or like him for things you always did, being on your guard. I wonder why we do it. Yet I might catch myself in a similar situation someday, years later.

I'm thinking that in the middle of all this confusion I might find something true.
On a human journey reaching inner peace.
Providing love and inspiration to all whom I meet.
Spiritually inclined in this world so diverse.
Seeking wisdom from those who inspire me the most.

Socializing is in my true nature.
Establishing connections to expand positive vibrations.
Understanding and accepting that people may come and go, while others maintain a constant flow.
Learning how to live, while judging no soul.

We must seek within to develop a pivotal foundation.
Secreting awareness to increment our minds potential.
Such beauty is accessible for everyone to know.
Being in the present moment will enable that for sure.

Enriching this worlds energy by kindness with whom we meet;
will profoundly nurture one's ability to absorb positivity.

Sometimes we live our lives out of fear.
Sometimes we are unaware of what is actually real.
Sometimes we take things for granted before they disappear.
Sometimes we need to break our glasses to see in the clear.

Look around and what do you see?
Beauty lies within the nature of every facet you perceive.
Take a moment to suddenly pause time;
becoming aware of your zen state of mind.

When you observe droplets of water falling from the engorging sky,
visualize that moment frozen in time.
Become mindful of the chemical process elegantly combined;
as you experience the moment before it passes by.

Clarity will suddenly reach its remarkable peak,
after reliving the vicarious journey of the droplets feat.

Sometimes we stop living our lives out of fear.
Sometimes in the mist we become aware of what is real.
Sometimes we cease taking things for granted after they disappear.
Sometimes we need to fix our glasses to continue seeing clear.

This poem was crafted after observing water fall from the sky while meditating outside a Buddhist temple.

The boundaries in the mind
Is impenetrable by the Light
Of consciousness,
Concealing the obdurate ideas
Within the confines of the walls
Held captive, and mired in obscurity
Leaving the mind in desolation*

a warm glow shifts softly
in space & rhythm.
i pull the curtain aside & sit in the back--
a handful of seats, but only one
gets worn, the others
fool the mind into believing
imagination defies physics
to drink from the creative cauldron,
that ever-boiling vessel
churning out new
patterns & threads,
weaving fresh fibers between
spirits & minds.
the holographic hardware,
whirring too fast for ears.

our mind is the web & we spiders
spin the silk,
carefully or sloppily,
connecting the strands to catch
not flies but images,
sparks, bulbs & flashes.
often small, but once caught
emerge as a garden of gems
whose faces refract & reflect
until nearly all gems become one.

what's required is
a bright enough light
with fluid agility,
to illuminate & reflect
the whole nebula through
one, clean face--
perhaps the original gem itself;
for what would our mind be
without that raw crystal
forged in the stars?

Gallivanter river, we'll reach there together,
at the confluence, the tranquil ocean iridescent
where every being is together, you, me and others,
transcending  limits, one incessant flow of consciousness.
