How many times
Must she destroy herself,
Before she runs out of pain?

How many times
Must she cry to herself,
Before she's lost to sadness?

How many times
Must she starve herself,
Before she runs out of self-hate?

How many times
Must she blame herself,
Before she's lost to madness?

Like rippling water distorts a reflection,
the mirror reshapes my
stomach,
thighs,
arms.

Buttons unlatch from their holsters,
The zipper loosens its grip,
Exposed are the  things I despise.

Pinching, pulling, pushing.
Nothing changes, all still there.

Not so much a distorted body,
More so a distorted mind.

She walks on velvet, swaying hips
Flashes a grin, the poise she keeps
And for her query:
     What makes you happy?
She waves her hand ever gently.

She walks in skin and bones collapsing
Flashes a grin, but near to fainting
With this she answers:
     Loose clothes and shivers
She eats her dinner in reverse.

Blood is her carpet, blades are her sash
She keeps on walking - feline
Fits the crown of purging - rash
'Til she gets to be the beauty queen.

Raising is a feeling
I've never felt before
Not one of love
But one of gore.

I can feel it bubbling
From deep inside my chest
An aching need to *****
To give myself a rest.

I know it wouldn't help much
Problems would still be there
But maybe if I focused
I'd stop focusing on despair.

blood or strawberry syrup,
i feast on my gore, my waste,
my crime. i swallowed God
and purged him up.
i starved myself to heaven’s gates
but couldn't fit through the bars,
thick with sin, putrid and heavy.
i fell to the earth.

aspartame heartbeat,
cardiac arrested, imprisoned,
no way out.
i became the wound i created,
let it grow, let it fester and rot
with a coat of sugar and cinnamon.
my pain is full of calories,
so i purged that too.

true love is an execution,
a sacrifice, careful and divine.
my candied crucifixion,
holy libation to a lonely tyrant.
i made a mess, binged
into oblivion, emptiness.
it is not romantic,
but it is something.

i am
a sinner.
my insides tainted, my sweet pink heart
is stained a dark deep brown.
my lips beg for more.
more of the sweet taste,
just a bit more of Heaven.
my brain shouts
"no!
not a single bite more of the wretched sin!"
my tongue tastes sour
my stomach lurches and up come my sins,
reflected in the concerned ripples
deep in your ocean-blue eyes.
the words sour, i retch and fall
lifeless
into your arms.

Mia is best friends with Ana, and Ana is best friends with Sue,
one day Sue saw me and said I love you.
Ana said I'll love you 10 pounds lighter, Mia said plus 5 pounds less.
Sue said I'll gladly take off  2 pounds of unwanted stress.
Ana told me I was fat, other people did too,
So I  believed Ana was so very true.
Ana told Mia to help get rid of all my  stress.
So then tomorrow I can fit into my brand new dress,
I asked how many pounds until you will love me.
Ana said just 5 pounds lighter, and  Mia said just 3 pounds less,
and Sue said I'll gladley take away all the unwanted stress.
So I pulled out my blades to talk to Sue,
she said, " dont forget I was the only one who truly loved you."

The words
Be happy
They make me angry
For the words be happy
Do not fix me

The words
Just eat
They irritate me
For the words just eat
Wont make me hungry

Eat your food
Hurry take a bite
Eat your food
Things will be alright

Spoon to lip
Don't hesitate
Swallow quick
Before you ache

Darling don't you quit
Get out this rut
Your bones need it
So does your gut

That's all I hear
For that's all they say
That awful cheer
Night and day

It's not as easy
As they so claim
To rid myself
Of awful shame

So I will smile
And I will lie
And for awhile
I'll be alright
