you were like the sun to me
you shined so bright
you gave me life

you were like the sun to me
I revolved around you, I held on strong
although our attraction didn't last long

you were like the sun to me
you kept me warm for days and weeks
although at night, the darkest of times

you were nowhere to be seen
love shouldn’t be one-sided

i am not much of an artist
but sometimes, i doodle
and today i found in my notes
a beautiful sunflower
gold and yellow and brightest green
so much sunshine
and yet
carved over its face
i'd drawn a blue frown

We may think we burn
        Brightly.

         But we are just flickers,
In a universe of dying light.

That one day will breath
          Wicks of life upon
            Distant reaches.

She is a star.
Not just the kind on Broadway,
But a literal star, burning bright,
Flames that lick the faces of each one who passes,
She is a star.

She is a star,
It seems to others like she steals the light,
But in reality she steals the darkness.
Her rays touch every body and particle, every dark corner.
She is a star.

She is a star,
Brilliant golden necklaces lace her skin,
Not because she thinks people like them,
But because she does. Confidence flows from every pore.
She is a star.

She is a star,
Skin tanned by her own radiance,
Freckles dance upon her cheeks.
Rosy lips, face flushes with love, not embarrassment.
She is a star.

She is a star,
She floats alone but not lonely,
Out in space because the world cannot take her power,
But she warms me right up anyways.
She is a star.
She awoke in the clouds
bright, light, and ethereal.
her cheeks the color of...

Robed in angelic white, she rose.
Silent and serene, strange to sight;
Unknown, yet familiar; for my heart burned.
We have loved deeply, we knew each other.
Spirit affirmed; deep called unto deep: Peace.

Up above, into the light, she rose.
Light, a most brilliant white,
Sum of light from every heaven's stars;
Each a soul, at rest, awaiting the rest.
Into the light she rose, white diffusing into light.

Today, I learned, the light is Paradise.

Your worlds
Far from here
And close to anywhere
I’d hold my breath
In hopes to see you there
From dawn to dusk
In hopes to catch a glimpse
Of you anywhere

You shine so bright
Brighter than a Quasar in celestial skies
I’m the darkness that fills the void
I feel so empty inside
But your light
Finds my line
You can’t escape my gravity
So hold my hand
And live this life with me in my proximity
