I used to want a lover
Like the boys in the books
Until I met you,
Now I want books with boys who are
Lovers like you
Falling In Love

...
unwritten
chapters
are one’s
truth
to be told

Tonight I feel like a book, uncertain of words in it, sometimes they are slow & sometimes crawling,
in the readers minds, initiating conversations &
bedazzled on my tongue are some fallen tears, unspoken words, leftover kisses from my lover &
colliding bodies in my head are made of clay,
the memories of touching and being touched unfold in my dreams, they're me turning pages in a book
and i’m not joking when i say i feel like a book,
because i do and the words seep right through me
like my soul doesn't really exist, it is rather an uneven montage of feelings & words, like a book

You were just a plot twist;
One I didn’t see coming.
It was that moment that I realized-
How could I think you loved me?

I didn’t suspect you;
If anything, I trusted.
I realize now my view of you
Didn’t do you justice.

One so light, the other dark-
Could I ever trust again?
I can’t believe that long ago
I considered you a friend.

If you had kept your feelings close
I wouldn’t be here now.
For better or for worse, I guess,
From innocence I rouse.
This is my overly dramatic self writing a poem about a fictional character- again. Hehe. This time it’s about Gavin from Fablehaven.

This is for the "windows open and stars bright"
Your skin that smells like Hemingway novels,
The "ardently" Darcy spoke about,
For making the "silent unspeakable memories",
This is for bringing to life in me
Everything I read about,
To escape what I was living.
You are the book I always wanted to write,
The story I woke up in,
Living forever in the last chapter
Of my favorite fairy tales.

Time trickles from my upturned palms
In streams of oil and water
I’ve been trying so intently
To stop it
I haven’t had a moment to spend on anything else

I know that when we meet
A lifetime will pass in a second
But somehow I’ll revel in the light and the darkness
Like the flickering of rapidly turned pages

You're a book,
a good book
that will
never be
forgotten.
Books are remembered if it's good.
I will always remember you, my love.

Binding cracking as I open again
Pages falling into place from the last read
Hello again my old friend
Take me to the world
From the first time long ago
Captivate me with your words
Let me get lost in the story
Reading by low light once again
This never gets old
I never grow tired
My room has grown quiet
My glasses on my nose
Once again old friend
You have my full attention
Read on.
Scent of the flowers
Crisp words, and sepia pages
Vivid memories
