Sour smell of wood smoke
seaweed flayed and dried
upon the rocks
those huddled stones
prone and obeisant to the grey sea

And there
a star that is settling
into the indifferent waves
leaving us cold and bereft
soon to be entwined
with the night

But do not despair
We will wake with the dawn
bring the candle of hope
in our hands
and much peace

A solemn and ocean-deep peace
shared
with every sentient being
in time
and every being departed
from time

The moon has its quarters
the sun its seasons
I have only this tenuous grasp
on life
a primal sense of loss and love
and the dull roar of the Pacific
in my ear
Yachats is my favorite little town on the Oregon coast. A good place for existential meditations.

And sometimes
Just like that
I see
What I have been
Seeing

And
I understand
This path
I'm on

The darkness
Lifts
And the fog
Clears
Though
I don't mind
Either

And I see
Straight enough
To step
Forward

Oh miss Spring,
With a Autumn breeze, that can make anyone dream.

Oh miss Spring, you enchant people,
Making them stop in place,
And start dreaming of a better place.

Oh miss Spring, there you are,
You have come back along,
To fill the world with life and dreams.

Look at the beauty that starts to shine,
Back into the world,
Miss spring you bring happiness and hope into the world.
you did not see me crumblin
                                                    g
under the weight of my thoughts
you did not see the tear slip down,
rolling down my cheek

maybe you did not care.
maybe i'm tired of always being the second choice
maybe i want to feel important and loved and worthy
and maybe you can't do that for me
and maybe that's okay
i've lived my entire life like this,
what's a while more?

thank you for being there during all the good times,
they were few and far in between but
you were there i guess.
you were always there.

just never when i needed you most
They take you to beautiful realms of life
Let you travel to their beautiful thoughts
Let you wander around their world
Make you smile while reading their sonnets
Giving rhymes on every line
Let you enjoy the magnificence of words combined
But what you didn’t know
Is the meaning of those striking words they wrote
Behind those they’re breaking
Turning their whole hearts to now shattered glass
‘Cause remarkable words can sometimes mean chaos too
Dear poets,
I thank you for letting me know
How beautiful and tragic love is
Algid aether whisked over
pure white translucence;
under twilight’s luminescence
her enchanting eidolon-hovering
afloat, screams off her plight,
sprouting orbs of delight,
it was love at first fright.
Love is intangible. You can only sense its presence.
Traversing edges,
gliding o’er sledges
undulating ridges,
crossing broken bridges:
One could sense-
the Zephyr’s nudge;
glacier’s gelid grudge-
Frigid frail feet, fail to budge,
the mirage of hope, forever will trudge
traces of existence, begin to smudge.
A mini poem on 'Avalanches' – your arch nemesis in the Arctic.
Reckless cloudbursts
rippling reverberations-
Her harmonic ensemble
hits a deafening crescendo:
taunts my senses, paralysed;
haunts my spirit, petrified.
Destructive forces of tides and winds orchestrated by nature's fury.
I don't mind doing for people,
But don't take advantage of my doings.
