CARPE DIEM

Let us treasure today
We are not promised tomorrow
Let us seize the day: CARPE DIEM

Let us dance like there's no tomorrow
Let us do things today instead of putting it off until tomorrow
Let us cherish the moment before it rushes away
Let us seize the day: CARPE DIEM

Let us eat all kinds of good food
Lets eat our favorites
Let us read our favorite poems
Let us write some poems too
Let us seize the day: CARPE DIEM

Let us tell our family we love them
Let us call our friends and tell them too
Let us  create some memories and write them down
Let us not take things for granted
Let us not waste today
Let us seize the day: CARPE DIEM
Let us truly live before time slips away
My friend's CARPE DIEM
I am bringing back a revised version for this Monday.
I hope you like it.
CARPE DIEM my friends :)

familiar faces
roadside challenges
laughter that never stops
we're following the stars around the world to the soundtrack of our childhoods in phrases of
remember when...?
remember when we were fearless?
remember when we didn't know who sang that song about the girl who would be loved but sang along at the top of our lungs because it didn't matter?
remember when we could fix broken friendships with rootbeer flavoured dum-dum lollipops?
remember when we were 14 and i made you call your crush?
remember how you cried into my arms when he didn't say "i love you" back and it felt like the world was spinning too quickly?
remember that summer when we jumped off that cliff?
remember that summer...
remember when
one day soon
we'll all have jobs
husbands
wives
children to look after
we'll say
Remember in college how we took that roadtrip right before graduation?
remember how we almost didn't make it back in time?
How many of us will remember in old age?
carpe
Carpe
Carpe diem,
he said to us
and we did
we seized the hell out of that day
CARPE DIEM!
we ran into the night, high on life, shouting
all for one and one for all!
CARPE DIEM, FOREVER!

My friends, Carpe Diem
Hi to all my Hello Poetry family and friends. I wanted to share this moment with all of you. I feel blessed by knowing you all and I am a fan of you and your poetry accomplishments too. I sincerely believe that you all encouraged me to get up the courage to submit this poem of mine ( as well as other ones in past years) To the Poet's Corner section of Sr. Perspective.  You remain my favorite poetry community and comrades in the poetic arts. I want to Seize the day and express how much I care for all of you <3 You touch my heart and put a smile on my face. I am so blessed to call you fellow poets and friends too!!!!
CARPE DIEM!
Like a hockey team,
accomplishing the American dream.

CARPE COLLOQUIUM!
Like Napoleon,
giving a speech to defeat the Mongolian.

CARPE VINUM!
Like a forgotten man's byname,
stumbling aimlessly when it's always been within his brain.

CARPE NOCTEM!
Like a relentless cricket's chirp,
always ready to exhibit pounding energy without limit.

CARPE DIEM!
Seize the day, today,
for yesterday cannot be replayed.

My friend's CARPE DIEM

it usually happens to you, when you're solving a sūdo(h)kú...

   getting all *spastic-fantastic
while solving a puzzle,
my eyes darting-autisitc...
i had a thought... in an algebra form, associated with
the letter x... or χ (chi),
relating to, probably the two most famous "quotes",
                     i.e. clichés (clish...          says) -
what where they? cogito ergo sum... and carpe diem...
so i made a little diagram:

                                        cogito    diem
                                                   χ
                                          sum      carpe...

in the cartesian example? you're not prompted to do anything.
oddly enough...
             where did the ergo go?
well, it became lodged in the χ (chi) for one...
for seconds?      article scissors... or the basis for atheism...
       what, exactly, is, the day?
your birthday? d-day landing in normandy?
     the 8th of march 1917?
funny, eh? i think, i seize...
and then the sigma of: a day, the day, or being in general,
the summation of something.
how about: seize yourself?    sorta like...   carpe sum?
and the infamous: think of today:             i.e.       cogito diem?
the χ (chi) is based on the principle of expressing ergo...
the cascade...
            the waterfall...
in cogitans no- veritas (there is no truth in thinking) -
so much so that:         qua res cogitans... no- omni vera -
as being, a thinking thing... there are no all-encompassing truths.
what's the 20th century conceptualisation of
the ancient latin carpe diem?  heidegger's dasein...
heidegger's dasein is, literally, carpe diem...
a day... and seizing it...
well... the germans just call it:         tag, for what's diem,
and seize...    ergreifen, which is consecrated on the latin
altar of the word carpe...
if a roman were to say carpe diem, a germanic "barbarian" would
reply ergreifentag... or in modern spreschen, dasein...
as in: being "there", there, also denoting the temporal realm,
that in unit, requested encompassing the universe, isn't a minute,
or a second... but, a, day: the day is da, i.e. where...
which is why carpe diem compliments the dasein
conceptualißation, so wonderfully;
it's also a necessity, to call forth history, as the happening,
or in dasein terms: being...
as necessary, on a particular day,
in the realm of universal / uniform experience,
of ranging possibility, either fulfilled, or abandoned.
Life’s too flying
So Carpe Diem
Life’s just for a moment
So Carpe Diem

Carpe Diem...
Carpe Diem...
Carpe Diem...

The **** is Carpe Diem?
