Today is about missing you,
About missing your spicy fresh perfume, that I'd begun to love,
About missing your plump fat nose, that I never managed to pinch,
About missing your intense and sometimes senseless banter, that I'd never get enough of,
About missing your attempts to reduce the amount of coffee I drink, that I unwillingly adhered to,
About missing the quarter piece of a jam toast, that you always saved for me,
About missing the way you calmed me down, when we faced storms together,
About missing how you took note of everything, a new hair clip, that I knew you'd like on me,
About missing your watch, which you never took off, because of what it meant to you,
About missing your stories, and the zest with which you narrated them,
About missing your photography, how you captured my best and worst moments, when I wasn't looking,
About missing our shared love for yogurt drinks, and how we analysed each one we drank,
About missing how you screamt 'Mogu Mogu' when you found your favourite drink, in my favourite café,
About missing your big hands, that were strong and gentle at the same time,
About missing those few drives with you, talking about everything and nothing,
About missing how you surprised me on my birthday, with chocolates and a scarf, that feels warmer than any other,
About missing your silly quirks, like carrying your backpack around everywhere, which only I understood,
Today is about missing you
I had to stop, I'd probably reach the max length if I went on.
I miss you.
I miss you in my house. I miss the interaction you had with my parents and I miss how much you love them. I miss you wearing my clothes and the smell of you lingering on them for days, I'd bury my head in the neck of my jackets and hug myself, just to breathe you in.
I miss your wicked sense of humour and your appauling timing. I miss the complete hatred but utter respect for my friends. I admired you so much for looking past the obvious reasons to be hostile towards them and seeing them for who they really were; People who cared about me. and to you that was enough. No one has ever shown that much foresight as far as I am concerned.
I miss the way your head would twitch to the side in concern. I miss how much I meant to you. I miss holding you when you cried. I miss the look you gave me when you were either serious or aroused. the look of almost fear at your own vulnerability and screamed "Im holding on for dear life, do you know that?". I miss being the one to know that.
I miss how you'd smile when you saw me. I miss how you'd hold me, with such enthusiasm and didn't give a **** what people thought of you because of it. I miss how shamelessly you'd grin flirtatiously at me so I'd end up buying you something, which sounds horrible, but I adored you for it.
I miss being able to read you. I miss singing to you. I miss the way bile would rise up in my throat whenever I worried about you. although that still happens.
I miss the places we would go. I miss our place. I miss the way you made me feel. I miss feeling love. I miss feeling like I would do absolutely anything in my power for you, and what I couldn't do, I'd **** well try to do anyway.
I miss knowing I'd slay dragons for you. I miss constantly trying to save you. I miss your clever literature and your witty take on the world inside your head. I miss your creative, yet somewhat disturbing figments of your imagination. I miss falling asleep whilst texting you at 5.30 in the morning.
I miss writing songs about you.
I miss waking up before you and watching you sleep, the way you'd sometimes cling to me and I'd marvel at how lucky I was.
I miss you wanting me.
I miss you needing me.
I miss being important to you.
I miss you finding me funny. I miss your whispers. I miss your ears, your fingers, your eyes, your hair, your hips, your navel and your neck.
I miss making toast for you.
I miss putting up with your horrible, horrible friends, purely because I wanted you to be happy.
I miss trying to make you happy.
I miss throwing my life away for you.
I miss every single moment, emotion and time involved with you.
I miss you
I miss you
I miss you
and I'm always going to, aren't I?
I miss you
You're not missing me
I missed you before you left
You may have missed me for a day or two
I miss they way we'd ride around in your car and stare at the stars
I miss how you used to hold the door open for me
I miss how whenever we sat down no matter who was in the room, you sat so close to me when your arm around me tight
I miss the way it felt to lay on your chest at night
I miss the way we laughed when we woke up to the other one just staring waiting
I miss the way you used to look into my eyes and the whole world disappeared
I miss when you wanted me around all the time
I miss when no one could make me doubt you
I miss the way we used to sit on the couch in "our" house and watch movies , with the puppy curled up besides us
I miss meeting you at work on your lunch breaks
I miss knowing I was the only one who made you smile
I miss being the only one you called "mine"
I miss the days when I trusted you weren't texting someone else
I miss when I trusted you with my life
I miss that sparkle in your eye
I miss how you face lite up when you saw me and we'd both be awkward for a moment or two
I miss that my acceptance used to be enough
I miss that I used to be enough
I miss how you used to hold me and wipe my eyes when I cried
I miss that I missed the moment things began changing
I miss that instead of asking less questions, I just tried to get you to look at me how you used to
I miss the fact that I never knew how serious our problems were
I miss the way I could talk to you like no one else
I miss the day before it all came to head

I don't miss listening to you telling me goodbye and standing emotionlessly
I don't miss how unaffected you seemed by my tears
I don't miss frantically trying to get a hold of you and you ignoring me the whole time
I don't miss you're excuses
I don't miss watching you lie right to my face
I don't miss that you just thought another guy would erase you from my heart
I don't miss how you're such a hypocrite and in the same sentence would beg me to stay in your life
I don't miss all the random moments I burst into tears simply because you weren't there
I don't miss every night I knew you were with her
I don't miss how when the sun came up the next day, you were at my door again
I don't miss how I always let you in, and how I clung to every moment with you
I don't miss the involuteery see saw ride you put me on while you tried to make up your mind
I don't miss all those hours I prayed you'd come back to me
I don't miss how when I would snap and tell you to "*******"
I'd cave the second you text my phone

I miss the vacations we took together
I don't miss the way you seemed to have just forgotten
I miss how you were always getting mad at me for letting people walk all over me
I don't miss how you became one of them
I miss how every time you came around, no other guy could touch me or how you'd put your legs across me to mark your territory
I don't miss how when I did that, you still saw her
I miss when I thought you were so different than every other guy
I don't miss realizing you weren't
I miss how hard it was for you to tell me goodbye and that you had tears in your eyes too
I don't miss that just because she had more money she got to be the one to come visit you
I miss the phone calls every week
I don't miss when she moved in and they stopped
I miss how I never saw this coming
I don't miss that in your mind I'll always be here waiting

I miss you
Up on the hill we were watching the city beneath  us.

A city in constant movement, completely unaware of our existence.

We felt like the world was ours to take.

Oh, the plans we made for the city of lights..

That night we promised each other forever.

Wearing your way too big hoodie I gently kissed your forehead.

Hoping the night would never end.

For once the sky was clear, I saw a shooting star and made a wish.

That our forever was real.

With you laying in my arms watching the stars,
talking about how we waved at ourselves from a parallell universe I thought it was.

But sometimes love isn't enough.
You don't have to search anymore
It’s okay, I’ll be your company
As we’ll be dreaming under different skies
Cloud nine resting , still, we can settle,
My embrace will be your home,
Your eyes will ground me
This feeling, our only battle
To give life to the inner workings of my mind I ink the surface of these pages with secrets untold,
A breath of fresh air is this release of suppressed expression that now flows freely,
Life is but a muse to the poet’s pen.

Poetry is a universal language that defies all boundaries,
Such serene stanzas touch souls with hidden splendor,
This prose awakens dreams in the heart of the wanderer,

Lost is the mind as it travels across the words on display,
Connected is the spirit as it creates meaning unique to the self,
Life is but a poem waiting to be discovered.

Accomplishments
What a wonderful feeling of joy
That takes you over
Inhabits even the darkest of spaces
Because of one thing you did
That pleased yourself
And others
Most important of all...
*Congratulations
Avery, congratulations a million times! You are such a hard worker, and I am so proud of you!
Absolute bliss
Sinking deep into the blankets
Sighing into the pillows
After a long, stressful day.
Finally, now i can sleep!

Colm
Quiet is a comfortable path
      Known well to ways
    Better to feet
And most best know to this mind of mine
As I create based on what I see
      Scene lived as me, try
It's not where I've been, or stand that's me, inadequately
