i'm above the whispering
but their tongues keep licking
like a snake
defensively flicking
like a wind up toy
their teeth keep clicking
at the mouth
they're foaming and spitting

Third Eye Candy
Polaris locked and lugging, about a ton of feathers...
I drag an Angel through a marsh of fallen heavens.
I sleep when the Sun starves to death,
And Join my Grains of Sanity
with an oyster

To Pearl where it Hurts.

II

This’ll Cost Ya.
Waking up in the middle of your Life.
Like an Equation made of lopped sides-
And snug contortions.
Wings ill pitched from the dugout
into the loft of dead air… placid and forgivable
for all the lies of the world ride that wave
until a silence humbles
a reckoning.

We should all of Us
learn the language of our Bones
and banish the weary of our Love.
But Earthworms
Have nothing to say -
And Ravens
have shiny
tears…

if any.

That will never fall.

When my winter days arrive
I sit on the porch and
I ask the wind
To come and kiss my skin
Not because I love the wind
Just because you are not here

where is my baby
where is my other half
where is my love
where is he

was he ready
did he suffer
did he want it to come with you
did you take him into an enchanted land

where did you take him

sometimes i think
of the million lives
i could have led

before the heat, lust
and sweet nectar
came shimmering
out of my head

i swam through caves
of black salt and ether
i explored dreaming valleys
and cavernous skies

i melted with the prophets
ruled with the pharaohs
drifted with the angels
all in a lavender-lust fever
ethereal.

you breathe in sweet zephyrs
you speak in rosewood and petal-moss
you sing in cascading ultramarine
you smile in gleaming lavender lust
blue
like the ionian sea
or silken-soul river
and momentarily
a lucid
sapphire touch
~ and your eyes,
they burn like a blue sun ~

we live on a planet that is
thirsty for love
but we greedily bruise
her soft skin
we can try to heal the world with words
heal her weeping wounds

"are you
still in love
with me?"

asked the moon
with tears
flowing down
her cheeks

"i am afraid
that i
no longer am."

answered him
as he vanished
from the sky

the setting sun
leaving the world dark
leaving the moon behind
i hope that we find that love that never leaves.
